After having lunch at "Sushi Sakai," I still had some time before checking into the hotel, so I headed to Hakozaki. Yes, I had been here last year and was determined to revisit this place, "Pan Stock." There is also a branch near "Sakai," but I preferred the atmosphere of the main store, so I came back here. I walked about 10 minutes north along the railway tracks from Hakozaki Station in the hot weather and arrived. There was no line outside, so I entered immediately. However, inside, there was a circle of people. And as soon as you enter, you can see the workshop on the right. The smell of freshly baked bread is so nice because bread is always being baked. Next thing you notice is the lineup of bread in an arc. The sight of delicious bread lined up here is exciting and gets your spirits up. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the register because of the line of customers, but it's not a difficult wait at all. Well, the difficult part is that there are too many breads I want to eat, and the tray keeps filling up. A really wonderful layout. After picking up Cream Cheese and Bacon Sauté Walnut Bread, Pate de Campagne, Premium Kibic, and Canele while walking around, I went to pay. At the register, they were serving the famous Mentaiko France of this shop. The staff will ask you if you want to buy it. I didn't buy it for some reason last time, but this time I bought it without fail. The staff's service is also polite. In total, it was 1,938 yen~ I paid in cash and returned to the station after purchasing. I returned to Nishi-Nakasu and checked into the hotel. Since there was still time until dinner, and I couldn't resist, I devoured the Mentaiko France! The surface is crispy, and when you bite into it, the chewy baguette is delicious. Inside, there is a strong presence of mentaiko paste. The contrast between the hard outer part where you can enjoy the hard bread and the soft and moist texture of the central part is artistic. The deliciousness lives up to the rumors. A perfect rating. In any case, I'm glad I was able to achieve revenge from last year~ The next day, I had the remaining Mentaiko France for breakfast and as a snack. The Premium Kibic is an upgraded version of the Kibic I ate last year. Kibic was in a seashell shape, but the Premium is in a round shape. By the way, what is Kibic?! It's a cream bread in the style of Pan Stock. The normal one had a chewy dough, but this one has a moist brioche dough that melts away. It has an airy yet chewy feeling, and it's a strange sensation that's hard to describe. The cream is not too sweet, which is nice. Pate de Campagne is as the name suggests, with a big country-style pate in the middle. A clever double meaning of sandwiching the country pate with country bread. It's very meaty, almost like a meal. Therefore, the price is a bit high. If it were a bit cheaper, this would also be a top-tier item. Next is the Canele. This was the one I reluctantly gave up on last year. The crispy surface allows the rum to soak in nicely, but the chewy texture is not lost, making it a perfect example of a Canele. The cross-section is also uniform and beautiful. This is another item that should be repurchased. Finally, the Cream Cheese and Bacon Sauté Walnut Bread. The name of the bread explains everything, but it has a nice fragrance of bacon and plenty of cheese. Considering the price of the Pate de Campagne earlier, this one is surprisingly under 300 yen. Once again, the taste ===========
