My reviews are mainly for my own record, so they are simple impressions. I am not a gourmet, so I don't go into detail about the taste. I don't pay attention to the staff's attitude or the restroom. Sometimes my reviews can be long, so feel free to skip them. The star ratings are just rough guidelines. ☆→Never want to go again ☆☆→Wouldn't recommend to others, but rarely happens. If it does, it means I had some unpleasant experience. I can't provide details as my reviews have been deleted before for that reason. Ratings without reasons might be scary for those who rely on them for reference, but oh well. ☆☆☆→It was delicious, thank you ☆☆☆☆→Would love to go again if I have the chance ☆☆☆☆☆→Definitely want to come back! I enjoy exploring new restaurants and don't become a regular, so I don't give 5 stars easily. Date: 11/2021 Weekday 11:00 2 people Lunch Used my friend and I went to Shin-Okubo on a weekday because we can't handle the weekend crowds anymore. We made a reservation for this restaurant that we were both curious about at the opening time of 11:00. It's right by the station, really close. Turn left at Hoicha and it's on the 3rd floor of the building across from Macapresso. There seems to be quite popular, but we were the only ones to enter at 11:00. However, a few more groups arrived later. There were also some walk-in customers without reservations. But since you can make a reservation, I think it's better to do so. We were seated by the window, so we could see the trains passing by, which was fun. The interior of the restaurant is designed to look like a train car, which was interesting. It made me wonder if real train cars are like this. The restaurant isn't very spacious, but there are a fair number of seats. The food bar was smaller than I expected, so it can be a bit of a hassle if you bump into others. Here, when you order a main dish, you can also use the food bar and drink bar for 90 minutes for 1980 yen (including tax 2,178 yen). There's also a 120-minute option. Although it's a different restaurant, I was curious about Nakkopse that I saw on TV before, so I chose that as the main dish. When it arrived, there was fluffy cotton candy on top of the pot, with a chicken and a chick on top. So cute. The staff asked if we were ready for the video - pouring the soup over the pot melts the cotton candy. It was fleeting. After the cotton candy melted, both the chicken and the chick fell over, which made me feel a bit sorry for them, haha. The pot itself was small, but with the food bar, it was still quite filling. Nakkopse is a hot pot with shrimp, hormone, and octopus, as well as bean sprouts, onions, carrots, and tteokbokki. We were planning to have tobokke charhan as a finisher, but it was impossible, haha. You can also have seconds for the main dish, so if you're still hungry, go for it. The hot pot itself wasn't that spicy. The kimchi served in advance was very spicy, though... delicious but spicy. The food bar offered us two types of jeon, two types of chicken, japchae, and salad. The regular jeon was much tastier than the cheese one. Crispy. I tried the honey butter and cheese butter flavored chicken. Both were delicious and crispy. Overall, including japchae, everything seemed a bit oily. In the midst of that, the pear juice from the drink bar did a great job. It eased the spiciness and oiliness. I usually don't drink water, but I had three refills of it. It had grated fruit pulp in it and was delicious. The staff explained the menu to us at the beginning and regularly disinfected the drink bar, which left a good impression. The coupon they gave us after paying was also cute, like a train ticket. Thank you for the meal. Lunch tour blog: https://profile.ameba.jp/ameba/jamuuunn
