食べ呑み行脚マン
Located in Nagahama area, Fukuoka City, Chuo-ku, 2-7-10 Otemon, is another original, "Original Ramen Nagahama-ya (Nagahama-ke)." It seems to be called "Kei 1" by ramen enthusiasts. The shop was opened in 2009 by someone who used to work at the original Nagahama-ya. The ramen, as well as the bowls and system, are very similar to the original Nagahama-ya. There is also a shop with the same name in Kamikawabatacho Shopping Street, which is called "Kei 2," but it seems that there is no relation in terms of capital or management between Kei 1 and Kei 2. On a summer night around 11 pm, with a pleasant breeze and the chirping of insects, feeling a bit hungry, I headed to the Nagahama area. Original Ramen Nagahama-ke. It's been a while. Despite the late hour, the seats were full. There were also 3-4 people waiting outside the shop, but due to the fast turnover rate that is one of the top in Fukuoka City, we were able to enter quickly. No food ticket system. I ordered the ramen (Betakata). Just like the original Nagahama-ya, this shop also has spells. Bet = more oil, Kata = hard noodles Apart from the firmness of the noodles, you can also order the amount of oil and green onions, and it seems more stylish to chant the spell like "Firm noodles. And more oil." The shop is known for its fast service. Even with many customers, the ramen arrived in just 1-2 minutes after ordering. Fast. I took a sip of the soup. Despite the extra oil, it has a light taste typical of the Nagahama style. Compared to the original Nagahama-ya, this one is slightly more on the rich side, right? By adding the ramen sauce on the table, you can customize the richness to your liking. The amount of noodles is quite generous! It feels like about twice as much as other typical ramen shops. This shop also uses the straight thin noodles typical of Nagahama style. The noodles mix well with the soup! As of 2023, due to the changing times, many restaurants have been forced to raise their prices, and ramen is no exception, with various shops showing price increases. In this context, it is very much appreciated that you can enjoy ramen at a bargain price of 500 yen at this shop. Fast! Cheap! Delicious! This is the essence of Hakata Nagahama tonkotsu-ism!
