Located in Nagahama area, Fukuoka City, Chuo-ku, 2-7-10 Otemon, is another original, "Original Ramen Nagahama-ya (Nagahama-ke)." It seems to be called "Kei 1" by ramen enthusiasts. The shop was opened in 2009 by someone who used to work at the original Nagahama-ya. The ramen, as well as the bowls and system, are very similar to the original Nagahama-ya. There is also a shop with the same name in Kamikawabatacho Shopping Street, which is called "Kei 2," but it seems that there is no relation in terms of capital or management between Kei 1 and Kei 2. On a summer night around 11 pm, with a pleasant breeze and the chirping of insects, feeling a bit hungry, I headed to the Nagahama area. Original Ramen Nagahama-ke. It's been a while. Despite the late hour, the seats were full. There were also 3-4 people waiting outside the shop, but due to the fast turnover rate that is one of the top in Fukuoka City, we were able to enter quickly. No food ticket system. I ordered the ramen (Betakata). Just like the original Nagahama-ya, this shop also has spells. Bet = more oil, Kata = hard noodles Apart from the firmness of the noodles, you can also order the amount of oil and green onions, and it seems more stylish to chant the spell like "Firm noodles. And more oil." The shop is known for its fast service. Even with many customers, the ramen arrived in just 1-2 minutes after ordering. Fast. I took a sip of the soup. Despite the extra oil, it has a light taste typical of the Nagahama style. Compared to the original Nagahama-ya, this one is slightly more on the rich side, right? By adding the ramen sauce on the table, you can customize the richness to your liking. The amount of noodles is quite generous! It feels like about twice as much as other typical ramen shops. This shop also uses the straight thin noodles typical of Nagahama style. The noodles mix well with the soup! As of 2023, due to the changing times, many restaurants have been forced to raise their prices, and ramen is no exception, with various shops showing price increases. In this context, it is very much appreciated that you can enjoy ramen at a bargain price of 500 yen at this shop. Fast! Cheap! Delicious! This is the essence of Hakata Nagahama tonkotsu-ism!

Around 10 o'clock, I had brunch instead of breakfast because I ate earlier. I went to the original Nagahama ramen shop, which I like to call "Bragan"! I don't know why, but I sometimes crave this ramen even though it's not my favorite. I used to eat it a lot as a way to finish off a meal. I parked in the parking lot above the "Ya" shop and headed home. The ramen at home is more cost-effective because it's 50 yen cheaper for both the ramen and extra noodles. Honestly, the taste of the ramen at home and at the shop feels the same to me. Maybe others can tell the difference, but I have an unsophisticated palate. So, from now on, I'll choose the home option since it's cheaper. You can also get extra green onions, and I think the seating arrangement at the home shop is better than the shop where you might end up sharing a table with strangers. Today, I ordered the "Standard with Extra Green Onions" and it was delicious as always. Thank you for the meal, I'll definitely come back again!

When it pops into my head, I just can't stop. Before I knew it, I was driving. Pressing the automatic door button, today's "super cheesy" Gannaga is just right with this level of greasiness. Shiny surface! I still feel young, haha. Lately, more and more expensive ramen with high-quality ingredients are coming out, but this one for 500 yen is good enough. I hope they keep doing their best forever! I'll always support them. Thank you for the meal.

It's not delicious at all, so I wonder why there's always a long line. It's a mystery why this place has become a tourist attraction. Coming from far away with high expectations, waiting in line, and then getting this would be really disappointing. Tourists should go to SHISHIN instead of here. This place is just for locals to eat ramen for 500 yen.

There were 6 people in line, so I thought I would have to wait a bit, but I was seated right away. They asked me about the firmness of the noodles before I sat down, and a few minutes later, the ramen was served. It had a true Kyushu tonkotsu flavor, and it was cheap and delicious. The cost performance was unbelievable for just 500 yen. I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I travel for business.

This time, I entered the shop before 6 AM and tried the popular Betanamanegi Yama Jimotti. It's a bit cliché because it's greasy, but I could eat it every day. I used to get extra noodles, but lately it's getting harder, so I only get half occasionally. Therefore, instead of adding pickled ginger when getting extra noodles, I add it from the beginning now. See you next time!

The menu only offers ramen, extra noodles, and extra meat! And to think you can get such delicious ramen for only 500 yen, Japan is amazing. You can customize the flavor using the condiment liquid in the kettle on the table. The portion of noodles is generous and it even comes with meat on top. I can't believe all this is only 500 yen, it's truly surprising.

In recent years, or rather since the split of Nagahama Ramen (lol), if I occasionally go, I would go to "Nagahamaya." Just because. The other day, I saw on TV that Hanada was favoring "Nagahamake," and I was like, oh, is that the one? So, I went there late at night. It was past 1 am, but it was packed. The price is still low, but it definitely has a satisfying portion. The soup tastes like they made Uma-kun's soup slightly diluted without seasoning oil. It's surprisingly light, making me reflect on how much rich and thick ramen I've been eating lately. However, you can adjust the taste with the condiments on the table like sauce, pepper, and sesame, so it's good for those of us who are mindful of the 2g salt limit (lol). It's not a high-end ramen, so it's nice to be able to eat quickly and go home when you're a little hungry.

It had been about 5 years since my last visit to "Ganso Ramen Nagahama-ya". A friend who was back in town wanted to eat there again after a long time, so we went for a late-night meal. We arrived around 4:30 in the morning and were surprised to see that the place was almost full. **Ramen** In this day and age, you can still get a bowl of ramen for only 500 yen here. I chose the noodles to be firm. The straight noodles had a strong wheat flavor. Even at this late hour, I was able to finish my bowl completely! The two men sitting next to us ordered two extra servings of noodles each, which was impressive. We left before they finished their second serving, so they might have even ordered a third one! You can season your ramen with pepper and red pickled ginger as you like. Thank you for the meal!

After work, I visited Nagahama-ya for the first time in a while. Inside, there were only a few people and it was empty. I ordered cold shochu and a betanama. The shochu with a beard was very delicious. Also, the betanama pork bun with extra green onions had a generous amount and was excellent. I had a refill of noodles and left the restaurant.

It's been a while, but this was my first time having lunch at this place. I happened to arrive at 12 o'clock, and I was able to sit down right away. When I left, there were about 20 people waiting in line, but there is shade here and there are quite a few parking spaces around for 100 yen for 40 minutes, so if you time it right, you can park for just 100 yen. Even if you have to wait in line, the service is quick and the turnover is fast, so I think many people end up only paying 200 yen for parking. Thank you for the delicious meal today! ^_^

Fukuoka: Akasaka "Original Ramen Nagahama-ya" was lighter than it looked! It didn't have that typical pork bone smell! The soup was rich and paired well with the thin noodles. I added green onions and sesame seeds to make it even more delicious. I mustered up the courage and timidly said, "I'll have the super fatty ramen." The waiter took my order saying, "Super fatty ramen~" I was worried about what they might say, but luckily they didn't comment on it. I couldn't really tell the difference in taste, my taste buds are still clueless as usual. I thoroughly enjoyed my "fatty ramen with meat." By the way, when I asked for extra oil with my extra noodles, they apparently gave me even more, but I didn't have the courage to ask for it. If you're a fan of oily dishes, give it a try! Thank you for the delicious meal.

"Fukuoka Expedition 6th Stop ✈️" ◎Opened in 2009, this popular shop has established itself as one of the two major forces in the area along with the nearby "Original Nagahamaya (unrelated)" ◎Surprisingly open 24 hours, making it possible to enter at any time!!! ◎Compared to Nagahamaya, this shop has more oil content, with a rich pork bone and seasoning flavor asserting itself in every sip ◎Ordering the noodles "firm" results in a slightly powdery texture, reminiscent of Fukuoka's firm noodles ◎The chashu has a firm texture and a mild seasoning, making it easy to eat

Akasaka Station 10 minutes walk "Original Ramen Nagahama-ya". This time, I placed a single order after being seated. Ordered: Ramen ¥500. Upon being seated, I only had to convey my preferences for taste and noodle firmness. I chose the "betakata" style. There is also a type with a shorter boiling time called "nama", which is even softer. "Betakata" means oily and sticky. The soup was surprisingly clear despite my initial expectations. You can add plenty of "ramen tare" sauce without it feeling heavy. I was amazed by the substantial amount of noodles served for the finishing touch after eating. The taste wasn't as strong as I thought it would be, but it had a delicious and addictive quality. I somehow understood why locals frequent this place.------------Useful Memo------------*As of the visit date☆Recommended by a taxi①Open until late at night. The turnover rate is extremely fast.---------------------------------------

Ramen for ¥500, extra noodles for ¥100, regular visit. I was thinking of trying the original Nagahamaya this time, but the line was too long, so I ended up going to my usual place. I'm used to it, so I enjoyed changing the flavor to my liking when adding extra noodles.

I visited this place at late night. I had to wait a little bit but got seated in about 5 minutes. As always, the food was delicious! The tonkotsu broth was rich without being too heavy, and it was really tasty. The noodles were also satisfyingly substantial, making it a ramen that's hard to find in Tokyo. Thank you for the meal!

One of the two major giants of Nagahama Ramen, Nagahama-ya, is known for being open early in the morning. I went for a run at the nearby Ohori Park and decided to have breakfast here for a cool down. Even though it was just before 7 am, there was a bit of a line, but the turnover was quick so we were seated soon. They asked how firm I wanted the noodles, and I ordered them firm. Many regulars seemed to order the Betanama (probably thick soup with raw noodles) with extra green onions. I opted for a regular because heavy ramen in the morning is not really my thing. In a few minutes, the Nagahama Ramen arrived in front of me. The hot soup had a pleasant pork bone aroma. The thin noodles were well-coated in the soup and had a good firmness to them. The tender chashu was delicious. The green onions were crunchy and not overpowering. Of course, I ordered an extra serving of noodles. I was curious about the raw noodles, so I asked for those. Regulars seemed to order "raw egg" and "firm egg." The raw egg seemed to be similar to a raw egg (laughs). The raw noodles weren't that different from the firm ones, surprisingly. Extra noodles are best firm. As a flavor change, I added plenty of sesame seeds and pickled ginger to my extra noodles. The price of ramen for 500 yen and an extra serving for 100 yen is truly impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal from the early morning. Thank you for the meal.

It's a well-known soul food in Fukuoka! The taste of the soup can vary, but that's what makes it unique. Adjusting the flavor with lard is a must (*´꒳`*) I like it thick, so I always order extra-rich and extra-firm noodles. I chant "extra-rich, extra-firm, extra green onions" like a spell. I also like the nearby shop, so I alternate between the two ♬

I had been to the branch of this ramen shop before, but I had never visited this location near my house, so I decided to stop by. The ramen costs ¥500 and an extra serving of noodles is ¥100. Despite being located in the center of Fukuoka, the cost performance is excellent! Today, the noodles were firm, and the soup was very light. It was just right as it was very hot outside. The portion of noodles is quite generous, so it might not be suitable for a light snack.

"Original Ramen Nagahama-ya" I visited Fukuoka during the mid-August Obon season in 2023. My main purpose was to attend KEN YOKOYAMA's 'Summer Dude Tour 2023' concert at DRUM LOGOS in Fukuoka. Since hotels were quite expensive during Obon, I only stayed for one night this time. I arrived at Hakata Station around 10 in the morning, without checking in my luggage, I took the subway to 'Lalucy' near Ohori Park. It has become a usual course for my Fukuoka trips. After waiting for about an hour outside 'Lalucy,' I enjoyed 'Pepetama' (which was still delicious as always). My wife and I decided to split up for a bit, so I headed to 'Original Ramen Nagahama-ya.' I had been to the nearby 'Original Nagahama-ya' a couple of times in the past, so this was my first visit to Nagahama-ya. It was about a 15-minute walk from 'Lalucy.' It was quite tough under the scorching sun. I arrived around 12:55 PM, with about 15 people waiting outside. I was able to enter in about 10 minutes. I was seated at the table farthest back. The atmosphere of everyone sitting together and eating somehow gave me a Southeast Asian vibe. If you don't specify anything, the regular 'Ramen' will be served, but this time I asked for extra green onions ('Negi Mori'). I told the staff before I sat down, but there was no response, so I thought they didn't hear me, but they served the ramen with plenty of green onions. The 'Ramen' (500 yen) was quite impressive considering everything is getting more expensive these days! I took a bite right away. The soup was light. It was as light as 'Original Nagahama-ya.' I expected it because I had experienced it at 'Original Nagahama-ya' before, and as expected, it was quite light. I adjusted the taste by pouring the ramen sauce from the small pot labeled 'Ra-tare' on the table. Once the taste was just right, I added the pickled ginger from the table. Pickled ginger always makes it taste better, so I added it after just two sips of the soup. The noodles were also a lot. It was about 1.5 times more than other shops, I think. Of course, they were ultra-thin straight noodles, with a firm and low hydration type of texture. 'Kaedama' (100 yen) Nowadays, it's only 100 yen for extra noodles. I was already stuffed from eating at 'Lalucy,' but I had to have extra noodles. However, it was impossible. I was struggling after finishing the first bowl. The regular next to me, who seemed like a regular customer, finished his first bowl in about 3 minutes and ordered extra noodles with a firm texture. The meat (chashu) was a salty and slightly thin type, but it wasn't as salty as at Nagahama-ya. I managed to finish one bowl and paid 500 yen at the register before leaving the restaurant. While eating, I observed the surroundings, and it seemed like half of the customers were locals who came for their daily meals, while the other half were tourists. The relaxed demeanor of the locals who seemed like regulars was cool."
