IKKO'S FILMS
"Formerly operating as 'Sumibi Kushiyaki Nakamuraya' in Gakugei-daigaku, 'Nakamuraya' moved to Oimachi in January this year. Although the phone number is not provided, reservations can be made through TERIYAKI Booking. Unlike before, this place focuses more on drinks, offering all-you-can-drink shochu, sour cocktails, highballs, and soft drinks (beer, sake, and wine are charged separately). This makes it a great spot for those who love alcohol. Today, I visited with salon members. The chicken used is Kirishima chicken, air-flown from Miyazaki. The portions are generous, and in addition to salt and sauce, they also serve playful yakitori dishes. As Nakamura-san operates the place alone, ordering drinks may pause the yakitori preparation, so it's best to order everything at once. The price varies depending on the number of yakitori skewers ordered, ranging from 3 to 8 skewers. Here are the dishes we enjoyed:
- Sasami: cooked rare with yuzu pepper, which is delicious until the end.
- Liver
- Heart: fresh and springy, with a burst of flavor from the large pepper.
- Tebasaki: crispy skin and flavorful meat around the bones.
- Salad: carrots seasoned with cumin for an ethnic touch.
- Tebasaki: a leaner cut compared to tebasaki, grilled with sauce and garlic for depth.
- Tsukune: fragrant with mint, shiso, and fresh jalapeno.
- Bonjiri: sweet and fatty when grilled with sauce.
- Yagen: crunchy cartilage with a luxurious texture.
- Seseri: crunchy and chewy, enhanced with yuzu pepper.
- Chicken soup: with a hint of acidity from lime, a refreshing end to the meal.
We drank a lot, with 8 skewers and 8 shochu drinks, yet the bill was surprisingly around 10,000 yen. Probably would have spent that much on drinks alone. It was a feast. Thank you for the meal."
