I visited at the end of the year. Hakata Deitos directly connected to Hakata Station. On the 2nd floor, there is a collection of ramen shops. It is spectacular to see the highly rated and popular shops lined up. Menya Kanokora, which has its main store in Tenjin. The shop name includes the zodiac sign for 2022. The ticket machine is located to the right as you enter the shop. I ordered the rich tsukemen (950 yen) with an extra serving of noodles (300g) and waited for a while. First, the neatly arranged noodles arrived. Then the soup was served in the bowl. The bowl's color includes blue, giving it a cohesive look. The noodles are custom-made thick noodles, looking glossy and appetizing. When picked up with chopsticks, they are heavy. I dipped them into the soup. The noodles soak up the soup well. When slurped, the umami flavor spreads quickly in the mouth, bringing a sense of bliss with each bite of noodles. The toppings include chashu, menma, nori, and green onions. Dissolving the fish powder in the center adds depth to the soup's umami flavor. I enjoyed changing the taste by adding dried fish vinegar and chili powder on the table. By the way, the Deitos store in Hakata is said to have a soup made with a ratio of 8:2 pork to chicken. It seems to be different from the main store in Tenjin. I would definitely like to try this difference. The deliciousness was so overwhelming that I polished off the 300g of noodles quickly. I finished off with a comforting wari soup. This shop in Kyushu beautifully embodies the taste of Kanto, where the tsukemen originated. It is firmly rooted in the pork bone culture of Kyushu. By the way, the copper-colored glass used for the cold water here is excellent at retaining cold temperatures.

A shop located on the 2nd floor of Deitos at Hakata Station. It is a branch of Menya Kentora, a famous spicy fish ramen shop in Nerima, Tokyo, where the chef trained. Menya Kentora currently has three branches: the flagship store in Tenjin, the Hakata Deitos store, and the Fukuoka PARCO store. Whenever I come to Hakata, I always see a long line at this place and end up giving up. But today, I went at an off time, 3 PM, and there was no wait. I ordered the Spicy Tsukemen for 1050 yen. The soup was rich and the spice level was just right. The noodles were medium thickness and the toppings like menma and chashu were delicious. Overall, it was a great experience and I can see why this place is popular in Hakata.

The third shop is here. After trying salt and tonkotsu ramen, I couldn't decide what to eat next. Since this shop was relatively empty, I decided to visit here. It had a counter seating arrangement in a U-shape with about 20 seats, quite spacious. I bought a ticket, was guided to my seat, and ordered the special thick boiled egg tsukemen for 1200 yen. The staff were efficient and quick in their movements. I waited for about 15 minutes before the dish arrived. The noodles were very thick, so the wait was understandable. Finally, the dish arrived, and the bowl was hot, so be careful. I tried the noodles first, they had a good texture for tsukemen. Then I dipped them into the soup. The broth had a strong Kanto-style seafood flavor, which I liked. The bowl also had hot toppings like menma and chashu. I accidentally splashed some soup, but it was easy to clean. I also tried the soup with hot water, which was also very hot. Overall, the food was delicious and I enjoyed the experience. I don't hear much about tsukemen in Hakata, but this shop was good. Thank you for the meal.

Ordered: 300g of noodles (200 or 300), Medium spiciness (second from the bottom on a four-level scale)
Visited on a Thursday around 11:25 AM (aisles have weak air conditioning)
Entered around 11:50 AM, received donburi at 12 PM
Self-serve for water, wet towel, and paper apron
Staff were friendly
Despite ordering medium spiciness, ended up sweating profusely from scalp pores and feeling unwell
Recommend regular tsukemen for those who are not good with spicy food, unless you enjoy extreme spiciness

When it comes to Hakata, it's all about tonkotsu ramen. Initially, I visited a different shop, but I couldn't resist the temptation of trying the tsukemen at this place. Despite waiting for over 30 minutes during lunchtime, it was definitely worth it. I ordered the tsukemen with charcoal-grilled pork, and when it arrived, it looked amazing. The broth was incredibly flavorful, and the noodles had the perfect chewiness. As someone who only expected tonkotsu ramen, I was shocked by the depth of flavors. This place truly showcases the variety of Hakata ramen. I can't wait to go back! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I always noticed that there is a long line at this place, so I decided to try it out. It's quite rich, but the richness is delicious and the yuzu flavor harmonizes well. I can see why so many people like it. It might be the richest ramen in the Ramen Street. The staff are also very friendly. The cost performance is so-so, but I would like to go back again for their unique fish powder.

Due to heavy rain, the bullet train arrived at Hakata Station later than usual. Feeling the recent heat, I remembered the spicy ramen and decided to go, even though there was a long line. I wondered if it wouldn't be too spicy, but as I ate, the spiciness hit me... However, it was delicious. When I added soup to dilute it, it became even spicier.

Spicy tsukemen with flavored egg for 1300 yen. The noodles weighed 200g and the spiciness was kept mild. It was delicious and couldn't have been made any spicier, haha. The flavored egg wasn't too strong, more like a half-boiled egg. It had been a while since I last went, but it was still delicious! I arrived at 10:20 on a weekday and was about 8th in line.

Today is a noodle hopping day! I visited Menya Kantoku at the Hakata Deitos store! Finally, I got to visit Kantoku! I've always wanted to go, but every time I looked, there was always a long line... Today, I finally made it! I ordered a bottle of beer and a rich tsukemen in regular size from the ticket machine! You can choose the amount of noodles from regular to large. Since it's a noodle hopping day, I went with regular size. Let's dig in! It was even richer than I expected!!!! The medium thick noodles were so delicious as they intertwined. It was delicious, but towards the end, it was a bit overwhelming... Next time, I'll go when I'm really hungry haha. I'm very satisfied! Now, let's head to the next restaurant!

Located in the Ramen Street on the 2nd floor of Deitos at Hakata Station, they offer a rich tsukemen with flavored egg and a limited sudachi salt sauce pork rice. The tsukemen comes with a generous 300g of noodles, but I enjoyed changing the taste with fish powder and boiled bonito vinegar halfway through and finished it all. The pork rice with sudachi salt sauce was simply delicious. I wanted to order more noodles as I reduced them.

Visited on a Saturday around 8pm. Located inside Hakata Deist and known for their popular tsukemen, there was quite a long line. Waited outside for about 30 minutes and then got seated in about 10 minutes after entering. The menu offers the classic choice of tsukemen or ramen. You can choose the level of spiciness, and even the regular level is quite spicy so I went with that. (I made the mistake of ordering extra spicy before and regretted it the next day.) Not many people seem to order the tsukemen, but I like to have it with rice. The thick soup of the tsukemen goes well with the rice, so I highly recommend it. The noodles are neatly presented and thick. The soup is rich and seafood-based. Needless to say, the taste is satisfying and incredibly delicious. You can also enjoy the soup by diluting it at the end, so it's double the enjoyment. I definitely want to go back again!

I arrived at the restaurant around 8:00 PM and there were about 10 people in line ahead of me. I ordered the rich tsukemen (small size with menma topping) and the limited-time menu item of salted pork rice with sudachi and green onions. The tsukemen came with 200g of noodles, but I ordered the small size of 150g to get a free topping. The salted pork rice was topped with diced green onions, onions, menma, flavorful chashu, an egg, and sprinkled with salt and pepper. Each ingredient had a rich flavor and added a variety of textures, and the refreshing taste of sudachi made it very delicious. The tsukemen was incredibly rich and sweet, with a strong umami flavor, especially from the dried fish powder. The chashu and menma were also well-seasoned. Despite the rich dipping sauce, diluting it with soup made it lighter and still tasty. Adding vinegar changed the flavor again and was also delicious. Both dishes were really delicious, but the tsukemen stood out as one of the best I've ever had, as I love tsukemen. I definitely want to go back again.

Spicy tsukemen for 1150 yen. Ordered medium spiciness for the first time. There was no line outside the restaurant, so I entered without hesitation. There were about 5 people waiting inside. However, I was able to enter within 5 minutes, which made me happy as there was a line outside.

I felt like having Kenko-san's tsukemen after a long time, so I visited the Hakata Deitos store around 5 pm. The other day when I passed by the store at noon, there was a surprisingly long line, but since it was early evening this time, I only had to wait for 2 people. I bought a meal ticket at the ticket machine first. It said to call out if using electronic money, so it seems that electronic money can also be used. The amount of noodles for normal and large servings is the same price, so I always go for the large serving because of the value, but the chewy noodles always make me regret it as I end up with a full stomach haha. I think normal serving is enough for those with a small appetite or women. The thick and chewy noodles are thoroughly coated with a super-rich soup. The complex and punchy umami flavor, mixed with various broths, becomes addictive. First, I put the toppings on top of the noodles, mix in the soup, and eat about half. The rest is diluted with the tableside broth and eaten, finishing by drinking the soup. Once again, I regretted the amount of noodles as I was very full, but it was extremely delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited during a long holiday. Located next to Hakata Station, the Hakata Deitos store had good access from the station and there was a line even on this day. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was seated inside. The interior was clean and sophisticated, making it a welcoming place for women, and the staff were lively and created a good atmosphere. I ordered the rich seafood tsukemen with 300g of noodles and managed to finish it without getting tired of the taste. While Hakata is known for its tonkotsu ramen, this place is a recommended tsukemen shop even by locals in Fukuoka.

I went around 9 PM and there was a long line, but it was worth the wait because the ramen was incredibly delicious. This time I had the spicy tsukemen, and it was definitely spicy, but so good that I couldn't stop eating. It wasn't sweat-inducing spicy, but the lingering heat on my tongue was addictive. Next time, I want to try the rich tsukemen.

Tsukemen large serving for 1300 yen, with rice for around 1400 yen, haha. The rice was too soft, they should use better quality rice, haha. The soup has become richer again and can withstand soup refills, but... the line at Deito Stop was long, haha. It was a bit unsatisfying, haha. The final stretch of my Hakata life, haha.

I visited Kenko at Daimyo in Hakata Station, where they mainly serve tsukemen. This time, I ordered the spicy tsukemen with a basic level of spiciness. They used to have unique ramen options, but now they only offer rich and spicy tsukemen. When you want something hearty, this is a good choice in Hakata, known for its tonkotsu ramen with thin noodles. While rich tsukemen is often associated with Tokyo's Musashi, the atmosphere here is similar with slightly less intense soup. It's hard to find originality in this type of tsukemen, but overall, the taste is consistently good at most places.

Thick tsukemen (regular size) The noodles are smooth and chewy, providing a satisfying texture. When I tried the soup alone at first, it was rich and delicious. As I continued eating, the fish powder became stronger, giving that distinct fish powder taste that was a bit overwhelming. They recommended adding bonito soup to it, and when I did, it was delicious.

During my business trip to Shimonoseki, I had Kurume ramen at Kokura Station and it wasn't delicious. So, on my way back to Fukuoka Airport, I found Kenkoba at Hakata Station and decided to go there. There was a long line during lunchtime, but I endured it. As expected, the spiciness was great and addictive. The only disappointment was that the chewiness of the noodles was not as good as the one at the Tenjin branch. Other than that, it was perfect.

Second visit. It's a shame that there are only a few tsukemen shops in Fukuoka, such as Hirao which is a bit far away. Thanks to the subway extension, it has become easier to visit recently, but until now, there were no tsukemen shops surrounded by ramen near Hakata. I hope more tsukemen shops will open in the future.

It's nice that they offer up to 300g of toppings for free. The noodles are chewy and very delicious. I want to eat more, but I have to control myself to stay healthy. I also want to try the spicy noodles. There is garlic and chili on the table, and it tastes better when mixed in. It does have a strong smell though, haha.
