I came to this restaurant because the one I was planning to go to was temporarily closed. I had been here before because of the cheap gyoza (only 1 yen when ordered as a set) and enjoyed the casual Chinese atmosphere and delicious food. This time, I was looking for Sichuan cuisine, so I wasn't expecting much at first. However, to my surprise, they had many of my favorite dishes like water-boiled beef and other spicy options! I had a hearty meal with rice in one hand, mapo tofu, water-boiled beef, 1 yen gyoza, beer, and finished with fried rice. The prices were cheaper than the restaurant I originally planned to go to, and there were many solo diners which I liked. The flexibility in ordering was also great! The 1 yen gyoza was handmade with plenty of vegetables and had a delicious chewy skin. It was clear that they put a lot of effort into making them, and I was truly grateful. I had mistakenly entered thinking it was a certain gyoza chain restaurant and left without ordering, but I realized that the gyoza here was even better and the other dishes were delicious too. I regret not eating here instead, but I was enjoying my favorite water-boiled beef at the time.

Our seafood restaurant has transformed into a dumpling tavern, and I wonder how many months have passed since then. This place fills the stomachs of Sasazuka with its unchanged taste. It is located just across the Koshu Kaido from Sasazuka Station. The exterior looks like a run-down Chinese restaurant you can find anywhere, but the taste and prices are top-notch. Despite the reasonable pricing of around 600 to 800 yen for lunch, the portions are so generous that you might not be able to finish it all. The small dishes that change weekly are a small delight. Most of the menu is greasy like typical Chinese restaurants, but you can balance it out with the pickled vegetables on the table as you eat. Every time I leave with a heavy stomach, I find myself mysteriously addicted and coming back soon. The standout item is the dumplings on the menu. When you order the Senbero set, which is only available at night, you can add dumplings for just 1 yen more (although it's not that much of a deal if you don't order dumplings separately). These dumplings are so unique that you might question if they can be called dumplings at all. The phrase that will inevitably come to mind after eating them, "Are these really dumplings?" will make you rethink the concept of dumplings. We are looking for companions who are willing to unravel the truth behind the dish known as dumplings. By the way, the taste is simply delicious. Please visit this lovable dumpling tavern and experience it for yourself.
