I stayed overnight in Tenjin with 4 friends and went drinking! I really wanted to introduce them to this restaurant, "Robata Sankobashi". I originally wanted to go to Raibashi, but since it only has a counter and we are a group of 4, we made a reservation at Sankobashi. We got a corner seat. We ordered the must-have grilled edamame and vegetable platter as appetizers. We also added Cloud Ham, grilled thick tofu, and Tatami sardines, but the highlight was the thick ray fin! Everyone was raving about how delicious it was, saying "I've never had such delicious ray fin before!" Oh, it's such a great restaurant! I definitely want to go back again!

I was finally able to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I found the lantern on the main street, but couldn't locate the entrance to the restaurant. As I hurriedly walked down the alley, I saw a door that I couldn't see inside. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the light of a charcoal fire inside, and to my surprise, that was the entrance. The interior of the restaurant only had counter seats, with a charcoal grill serving as the cooking station for most dishes. The staff were all very efficient, and my expectations for this highly praised restaurant grew. I was given a chilled towel and served a draft beer in a copper mug to start. I ordered the recommended dish of "sesame hirasu" from the daily specials menu. It was my first time trying hirasu, which was said to be a substitute for mackerel, and it was incredibly delicious with the sweet sauce. At this point, I was convinced that this was a great restaurant. I then tried various grilled chicken dishes without skewers, each served with recommended condiments. The explanations provided were very detailed. I also ordered dried squid and thick-cut bacon. The bacon, in particular, was impressively large and left a strong impression. For my second drink, I switched to shochu, and they provided a bottle of water for me. After enjoying my meal, I asked for the bill, and they served me cold tea, saying "thank you for the meal." It was a delicious meal. I recommend making a reservation during peak hours. Additionally, I kindly request that you consider making the restaurant smoke-free, as it would enhance the dining experience.

No matter what we ate, it was delicious. It was great to have the food grilled right in front of us, especially since we tend to chat and end up burning it. The smoke from the charcoal grill is quite strong, so be prepared for that. The staff were also very grateful despite the heat. If we ever go back to Fukuoka, we would definitely want to visit this restaurant again.

I ordered a variety of dishes to pair with sake at a series of robatayaki restaurants starting from Niku no Raisho. The grilled vegetables were cooked perfectly, especially the shiitake mushrooms which were grilled with great care. This was probably the first time I had such a delicious solo drinking experience.

I have been to other restaurants in this series, but the unique feature of this one is that they offer a variety of dried seafood and delicacies. This time, I ordered sweet shrimp soy sauce marinade, chicken set x2, vegetable set x1 as a base, along with grilled sand borer, dried smelt, salted whale meat, salted capelin, and a side of bitter melon which I have never tried at other restaurants. Everything grilled over charcoal is delicious, and the side dishes are also excellent, making it hard to resist drinking too much and ending up with a hangover the next day. I recommend visiting on a day when you have no plans the next day. It's a popular restaurant, so be sure to make a reservation before going!

It reminded me of old-fashioned charcoal grilling restaurants, and the staff were cheerful and friendly, making the dining experience enjoyable. I could chat with the staff while watching them grill right in front of me, creating a warm and familial atmosphere. I visited the very atmospheric sanko-bashi, where all seats are at the counter! The experience of having the food cooked right in front of you is something you must try. It can get quite hot during the summer, but the beer goes down smoothly. Make sure to experience that sense of presence at least once!!

The atmosphere, liveliness, and menu - all are to my liking at this restaurant. I heard that Chef Yamaguchi also trained here, which makes sense for such a great place. I wish there were more restaurants like this nearby. Every time I discover a place like this, I fall in love with Fukuoka all over again. That's the kind of place it is.

During a business trip to Hakata, a gourmet friend from my college days made a reservation for us to visit a cozy restaurant. The seating arrangement consisted of counter seats surrounding the kitchen, perfect for small groups of 2-3 people. Despite it being a Monday, the restaurant was fully booked and turning away several groups without reservations. We started with a classic assortment of yakitori and vegetable dishes, followed by various menu items that caught our eye. The juicy vegetables and perfectly cooked chicken impressed us, along with must-try dishes like sesame mackerel, fluffy bamboo shoots, scallop risotto, and sweet salad-style bell peppers. The selection of Japanese sake was quite extensive, and we enjoyed tasting various types of sake from Kyushu that we had never tried before. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I moved from Matsuyama to Hakata. My colleague booked a hidden gem of a restaurant with just a counter. I ordered the chicken dish first. The egg sauce was delicious. There were plenty of dishes other than chicken, such as pickled blowfish ovaries and red sea bream in a pine hat. I want to go there again. Overall, it was delicious.

When I called for a reservation, I was told that they only had availability at 5 o'clock, but luckily I was able to cancel! The door had a red lantern, so it was easy to find. The food was delicious with plenty of options, and they even had my favorite sake, Nabeshima! The staff were very polite and helpful, especially in explaining how to eat the dishes as they knew we were tourists from Hong Kong. I will definitely come back again!

I was recommended to visit this place by a local in Hakata for my first visit. The counter seating only, all teppanyaki style. Smoking allowed which was great. It was very lively with many foreign customers. It was our third stop of the night, and it was just right. They have a lot of appetizer-style dishes, perfect for bar hopping. They also serve a variety of sake, so we ended up drinking a lot. The grilled avocado with raw egg and cream cheese was amazingly delicious. The fresh salted roe and firefly squid were also great. The sake recommended by the sake-loving staff was excellent too. It was the perfect place for bar hopping, and I definitely want to visit again. If you love izakayas, be sure to check it out. In Haruyoshi, there is a counter seat at the Robata Mitsuhashi Bridge where the staff cooks in front of you. Recommended chicken platter, vegetable platter with salt or sauce, ponzu, shichimi, yuzu pepper, etc. You can eat according to your preference. The white liver with ponzu is also delicious. The Mitarashi dango was also good.

I managed to get a reservation on the day and visited this amazing restaurant! It's a hidden gem that you wouldn't notice just by looking at it. I love everything about it - the atmosphere, the background music, and especially the food. I was a bit drunk so I only took a picture of the shirako dish, but I highly recommend this place! If you're in Fukuoka, you must visit this restaurant!

Popular bridge series! I have already visited Niku no Ikazuchibashi and Kaku no Sankoubashi in the past, so I decided to try this one for the first time. The seating is at a counter in the shape of a "C", with a shichirin grill placed at each seat. The menu is so enticing that it's hard to decide what to order ( ´ ▽ ` ) Everything was delicious, but the shishamo (smelt fish) was so amazing that it moved me (*´꒳`*)♡!! You can choose between a male with strong umami flavor and a female with roe, and when I tried both, I couldn't decide which was tastier!! I was surprised by the juiciness of the male shishamo. It's the real deal, this is the real shishamo...! If you don't dislike it, I definitely recommend trying this dish (≧∀≦) In addition, I enjoyed some fresh caviar, marinated and smoked iwashi (sardines), sweet shrimp soy sauce marinade, and a smoked platter to accompany some sake♪ The chicken platter and vegetable platter I ordered at the beginning allowed me to eat a variety of small portions like at Niku no Ikazuchibashi. Each piece of meat and vegetable was carefully grilled, and they also taught me recommended ways to eat them with salt, ponzu sauce, raw egg, etc.! I couldn't find the right timing to take photos, so I just quickly snapped some shots and enjoyed the delicious food ( ´ ▽ ` ) I loved every single item on the menu here... They let you choose between male and female shishamo smelt, so I ordered both to compare. The taste was completely different and surprising. They grill the vegetables and chicken in front of you, and the condiments they recommend are delicious. The portions are small, so you can try a variety of dishes and feel satisfied. I want to try more dishes and come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I was guided to a corner and told I only had 60 minutes, so I quickly placed my order. I hurried to enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of Sangokubashi. The mackerel was large, so I was advised to split it in half. The grilled oysters were excellent, as well as the bamboo skewers and grilled camembert. I happily indulged in a recommended sake or wine by myself. As my time was up, I was told to take it easy.

Located a little to the west of Nakasu, there is a famous restaurant in Haruyoshi. The lanterns are displayed along the road, but the entrance is actually towards the back. It seems like there are apartments above since there are bicycles lined up. Inside the restaurant, there is a cozy atmosphere resembling a hearth. The lighting is brighter than a Hokkaido hearth, with a slightly strong yellowish tint. We ordered sashimi and grilled dishes, both of which were excellent! People often say you can't beat Hokkaido seafood, but it's enjoyable because the fish varieties are different. This place comes highly recommended. Bringing someone who is visiting Fukuoka for the second time will definitely make them happy. It's suitable for dates or business entertainment.

Thanks to a recommendation from a senior, I found a nice little restaurant near the hotel. I arrived in Fukuoka on the last flight, so I enjoyed a quiet meal by myself. The location was a bit hard to find, but the energetic staff made the experience even better. After this, I was thinking about trying some ramen, but decided to call it a night. I visited around 7:30 PM on April 6, 2022, and I was very happy to be able to visit after a long time. The staff was as friendly, kind, and polite as always, and I had a very enjoyable meal.
