Two days ago, I went straight from the airport to Hyotan Sushi in Genkainada. I was so impressed by the freshness and deliciousness of the sushi, as well as the great value with extras like crab miso soup and chawanmushi. I wanted to try Hyotan Sushi again for my last gourmet experience in Hakata, but the 80-minute wait was too much for me, even on a weekday. So, I decided to try their second branch, a conveyor belt sushi restaurant located very close to the main store at SOLARIA STAGE underground. I arrived a little after 10 am, but there was already a line of 30 people waiting for the opening at 11 am. The reality was that I ended up waiting 70 minutes to be seated, but the wait was definitely worth it. The variety and freshness of the sushi, the taste, and the energetic service from the chefs were all on par with the main store. The menu has changed to an order system on paper, just like the main store, with popular items like Otoro and Chutoro tuna, and even fresh conger eel. The quality of seafood from the Genkainada Sea was truly exceptional. I didn't try any side dishes, but I did order their homemade fish ball soup, which was delicious. Choosing Hyotan Sushi for my last meal in Hakata was definitely the right decision. I also saw sushi displayed outside the restaurant for the first time, which was impressive.

I arrived a little after 11am on a weekday and there were already about 15 people lined up even though the store opens at 11am. I waited for about 40 minutes to get in! I ordered golden raw eel, salmon, engawa, mackerel, raw shrimp, and some other dishes. Everything was fresh and very delicious, but the golden raw eel was especially amazing! Thank you for the meal!

The underground gourd sushi at Solaria Stage always has a long line, so I haven't visited in a while. But I wanted to treat my eldest son, so I decided to wait in line. We waited for 90 minutes under the escalator (Saturday during summer vacation). My son didn't want to wait that long, but after eating, he said he wouldn't mind waiting 3 hours next time. They have a conveyor belt for sushi, but everything was ordered on paper. I had seconds of my favorite conger eel. Everything was delicious and we were very satisfied! We ended with simmered conger eel, which was fluffy and very tasty. Seeing my son's cute face while eating sushi made me very happy.

I have tried various conveyor belt sushi restaurants, but I think Hyoutan has the most delicious sushi. There is always a line forming when they open at 11 AM. Especially after the end of the pandemic, many tourists from Korea have returned, bringing back the lively atmosphere from before. Luckily, when I passed by the restaurant at 10:30, there was only one person waiting in line! I sat down and waited for the opening. I ordered some unique dishes like live mackerel and live conger eel that are only available at this restaurant. This is definitely my favorite conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Japan!

I visited around 1:45 PM on a weekday. There were about 10 people waiting in line. It took about 20 minutes to get inside the restaurant. The otoro (fatty tuna) was reasonably priced at around 450 yen per piece. The mackerel was around 400 yen but had a thick cut and delicious flavor. The sea urchin was okay. The grilled eel was also delicious with a tasty sauce that made you feel happy with just one bite.

I usually go to the main store, but this time I visited Hyotan revolving sushi for the first time because it was getting late. I quickly ordered and ate as the last order was approaching. The grilled conger eel, bite-sized awabi, and grilled enoki mushrooms were consistently delicious. I also added salmon roe, medium fatty tuna, foie gras, grilled fugu shirako, and a deep-fried eel. I was disappointed that the crab cream croquette and the golden raw conger eel, which I have never seen at the main store, were sold out and I couldn't order them. I definitely want to try them next time.

The tempura eel was incredibly delicious! While the sashimi dishes may not offer the best value considering their size and presentation, dishes like fried horse mackerel and tempura eel were voluminous, flavorful, and very tasty.

Around 3:00 PM there was still a line, but it's no wonder because it's delicious!! The specialty grilled conger eel was amazing. I kept going back for more and each time I was impressed. The recommended sardines were also incredibly tasty. The lean tuna was a bit too cold. I was disappointed that the fish ball soup was sold out. I think everything else would have been delicious too, but I couldn't resist getting more grilled conger eel. I'll definitely come back for it again.

I find it difficult to visit this sushi restaurant during lunchtime unless I have extra time, but today I was really in the mood for sushi. This place offers table service, unlike the typical conveyor belt sushi restaurants, and the satisfaction level is high with made-to-order sushi. Today, I didn't have to wait long and was able to get a table in about 40 minutes. Upon entering the restaurant, the staff recommended some menu items, including ones not listed as specials. I usually choose something from the recommended list for my first order. The service was quick and efficient, and the dishes were served promptly based on our progress and table arrangement. Everything was delicious, but the live Spanish mackerel and golden raw conger eel that were part of today's recommendations were exceptionally tasty. I decided not to order the set that usually comes with sea urchin, salmon roe, grilled conger eel, and abalone at another restaurant, and instead tried various other shellfish like scallop and live turban shell. I couldn't resist ordering some medium fatty tuna and horse mackerel as well. The miso soup with fish balls and yuzu pepper was a nice touch, similar to the clam soup. For my third order, I looked around the restaurant and decided to end my meal with a grilled fish skin. I tried it with the liver intact, and it was deliciously sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed the highlights of this restaurant and left completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

My wife had heard that there would be long lines at this restaurant, so we arrived around 9 am even though it opens at 11 am. By 10 am, chairs were set up and we sat down to wait. Initially, we were told that only about 20 people could be seated at a time, but by 35 minutes before opening, there were already 20 people in line. The energetic greeting from the staff raised our excitement, and we ended up ordering a lot of food. The sushi chefs, about 8 of them, skillfully prepared our orders as they rotated around. Everything was delicious, especially the grilled conger eel, which was a specialty. I also enjoyed a Sapporo Black Label beer, my favorite. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you very much. We will definitely be back. I also bought some batera as a souvenir, and of course, it was wonderful.

I went to a sushi restaurant in the underground of a commercial facility called Solaria Stage in Tenjin, where I was staying, after seeing it on YouTube. Unfortunately, there was a long line, mainly consisting of Asian tourists, waiting to get in. The restaurant eventually ran out of sushi and rice, forcing some people to leave. After a 40-minute wait, I finally got a seat at the counter. I ordered various sushi items, including engawa, hamachi, shiitake mushroom, Saga beef, and salmon. Each dish was delicious, with the shiitake mushroom being a standout. The staff was polite and attentive, despite the busy atmosphere. I would love to visit the main branch next time for their lunch set menu. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Visited on Saturday afternoon!! The line was crazy long, about 20 people! Waited for 1 hour to get in! Ordered: 1. Amberjack 2. Lean tuna 3. Flounder 4. Live mackerel 5. Sweet shrimp 6. Squid fin 7. Seared barracuda 8. Grilled conger eel 9. Cutlassfish 10. Live blowfish 11. Horse mackerel 12. Medium fatty tuna 13. Fatty tuna 14. Salted sea urchin 15. Flounder fin 16. Abalone 17. Tamago 18. Live octopus 19. Red mullet. Heard about this conveyor belt sushi place and was curious for a while! The 1-hour wait was worth it! The fish was fresh and all of it was delicious!! Especially the abalone, flounder fin, red mullet, and sweet shrimp were outstanding!! The quality may not be as high as the high-end places, but it was still quite good!! Surprisingly, even after eating all this, the bill was in the 8000 yen range! Good value for money and satisfying taste! Thank you for the meal!

I went to "Hyotan revolving sushi" in the basement of Solaria Stage and enjoyed some sushi. This popular long-established sushi restaurant in the Tenjin area has been in business for over 55 years and always has a long line. However, if you go before opening, you might have a chance to get in. The grilled conger eel was delicious, and I ended up getting seconds.

I had the Omakase nigiri and battera for around 2,500 yen. The city is filled with tourists who have come to Fukuoka for sightseeing, but this restaurant was not crowded like before, and I was able to eat in without any waiting time. Since I was alone, I purchased a set and ate it at the hotel. I also love Benkei in Niigata, but in terms of takeout, this place offers better value for money.

The rotating sushi restaurant I always go to had only four people waiting in line, and I decided to dine in instead of getting takeout! The beer, Black Label, was ice cold and delicious (^-^) The quality of the sushi is incomparable to a certain chain restaurant, although I shouldn't compare. The top dishes to try are: 1st place - Chutoro (even better if it's not frozen!), 2nd place - Seafood salad (great if you like mayonnaise!), 3rd place - Kanpachi (just delicious), 4th place - Engawa and Tobi-ko mix (great texture and chewiness!). The photo shows Fugu Shirako, Ebi Mayo, Otoro, Maguro, and Chutoro (lol). I ended up eating five plates of the seafood salad (lol). For those looking for high-quality sushi in Fukuoka without the high price tag, this place is recommended. However, the downside is that you have to wait in line. Why not try going when you have some free time (^-^) I ended up finishing four beers after a long time (´・∀・`)

Today, I wanted to eat delicious conveyor belt sushi in Tenjin, so I started lining up around 9:50 am. The store opens at 11:00 am. Today, because it's Golden Week, they opened a little early at 10:45 am. I waited for about an hour before finally getting in. This restaurant is my favorite, even though I've been to the underground location about twice before. The above-ground location I've been to about twice as well, but this one is the best. However, this place has limited seating. It's best to start lining up about an hour before opening. Everything I ate was delicious. Must-try dishes are the fresh mackerel and eel. The cost is usually around 6,000 to 8,000 yen. Our bill came to 6,204 yen. It was really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Hyotan's conveyor belt sushi in Tenjin is always a crowded place, but I was able to get in smoothly around 3 PM! I had medium fatty tuna ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎, amberjack ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎, seared salmon, negitoro, and raw shrimp for a total of 2233 yen for 6 plates! The most delicious dish was ⭐︎⭐︎⭐︎! I regret not researching what to eat before going.

I had been curious about the gourd-shaped rotating sushi restaurant for a while, so I decided to have lunch there. Even though I arrived before the opening, there was already a line forming, but the rotation was fast, so I was able to get in after waiting for about 30 minutes. I had Otoro (fatty tuna), sea urchin, mackerel, eel, seared red sea bream, snow crab, and negitoro. Then I had seconds of Otoro and sea urchin. It was amazing.

30 minutes before the rotation, there was already a line. Waited at the front of the second round for another 30 minutes. Every dish is incredibly fresh. The abalone and shrimp are moving on top of the rice. The green items have a good crunch and are delicious. I felt it was worth waiting in line to eat. The eel was especially fragrant and excellent.

I realized that I had never visited a sushi restaurant in Hakata, even though I have been enjoying various delicious seafood dishes. After finishing my first meeting in the morning, I dashed to Hyotan Sushi in Tenjin. I mistakenly thought it would be less crowded after 1 pm. However, there were over 20 people waiting outside the restaurant. After about a 30-minute wait, I was seated at the counter. The system involved filling out an order form and handing it to the chef in front of you. Unfortunately, they didn't have the golden raw conger eel that I was looking for, but I enjoyed fresh horse mackerel, horse mackerel, amberjack, Ishigaki clam (which I rarely hear about), and more. I finished with egg sushi. It's a conveyor belt sushi restaurant where you can watch the skilled chef prepare the dishes right in front of you. The sushi was truly delicious. Thank you for the meal. *The rice portions are small, allowing you to enjoy a variety of sushi. Normally, I give up after about 10 pieces, but I think I had around 15-16 pieces. I hope the golden raw conger eel will be available next time I visit.

I saw this place on TV and thought, "I want to go there!" so I went early. It was around 11:30, and there was already a bit of a line. We ordered a lot at the counter, including beer from noon, which was the ultimate happiness. I was most happy with the nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch), but there were also grilled anago (conger eel), raw anago, various white fish, and abalone on top of gunkan sushi. There was also grilled shirako (milt), so satisfying. I can see why there is always a long line. By the time we left around 12:30, there was a huge line outside. I recommend coming early. Satisfied!
