One evening, I received a Furu Furu bread as a souvenir from Fukuoka. The next morning, I happily baked it, feeling grateful for the rich blessing.
* Mentaiko France...430 yen
* Karinto Donut...350 yen
* Chestnut and Macadamia...280 yen
* Black Tea and Orange...260 yen
* Crunchy Melon Bread...180 yen
The Mentaiko France is a specialty of Furu Furu. The crispy texture of the bread, generously filled with mentaiko butter, is simply delicious. It even has a convenient cut for easy eating. While Mentaiko France is known for being heavy and filling, Furu Furu's version feels surprisingly light. I finished it in one go even in the morning. Despite its size, I wanted to pick up another one. The Karinto Donut is said to be the next popular item after Mentaiko France. When you take a bite, it's crispy, moist, and maintains an exquisite texture. The sweetness is just right, and its popularity is understandable due to its deliciousness. The Chestnut and Macadamia, and Black Tea and Orange also highlight their respective ingredients well, but especially Mentaiko France and Karinto Donut make me want to eat them again. By the way, Mentaiko France is not displayed in the store like other bread, you have to order it at the register. It seems to be very popular even on weekdays. I'd like to visit the store myself next time. Thank you for the meal.

Full Full @ Matsuzaki, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City - Have you heard of a bakery famous for its mentaiko France bread, called Full Full, located in Matsuzaki, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City? I decided to visit this place to study the famous mentaiko France bread, which is known to be a specialty. It is similar to "Peter Pan" in the Kanto region. I visited this place before during a store tour organized by the Japan Management Association. Let's step into the store. The display in the store is compact. Oh, it seems that the famous mentaiko France bread is not displayed here. I see, you have to order it at the register. Perhaps it's because it's a popular item and they want to ensure they have enough in stock. So, I ordered the famous "mentaiko France" (tax included) for 450 yen. I tried the famous "mentaiko France" bread. The packaging is also well done. It's truly a specialty. It seems like they are followers of the Lanchester model. I can relate to that. The French bread is sliced in half, with plenty of mentaiko paste inside. It's easy to eat and they provide a way to reheat it after cutting the desired number of slices. It was late afternoon, so there weren't many displayed, but I purchased a few types of bread. Chestnut and Macadamia (tax included) for 280 yen - It has a coffee-flavored dough. Three types of mushrooms (tax included) for 280 yen - It's like a mushroom-flavored Neapolitan and quite delicious. The bread selection here is quite tasty. It was a valuable learning experience. After work, my colleague handed me the usual paper bag and asked, "Mentaiko France or Garlic France, which one do you prefer?" I replied, "Both!" But it was already decided.
**Mentaiko France**
I got hooked on the Mentaiko France from this shop. It's packed with plenty of spicy cod roe. This is a must-try item with the same old comments. Although freshly baked is the best, I enjoyed it for breakfast the next day. Reheated in the oven, it was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Truly a specialty from the origin of Mentaiko France (established in 2002). It has now spread nationwide as a soul food from Fukuoka.

Due to a typhoon, my flight was canceled and I couldn't return home. The next morning, flights were still canceled, so I had some free time and decided to visit FuruFuru-san. This place is the originator of mentaiko (spicy cod roe) French bread, serving it freshly baked. I bought some for breakfast and souvenirs. The crispy dough is filled with rich mentaiko sauce. They also have two types of melon bread, all looking delicious. In a way, I'm grateful for the typhoon as it led me to this tasty discovery.

Mentai France takes orders at the register, offering a choice between a whole or sliced curry bread. They also have a special focus on drinks, such as coffee priced at 150 yen. There is seating available for dining in, as well as a kids' corner. Next to the restaurant, there is also a grocery store and other restaurants.

I visited the bakery about an hour before closing time, as per my nephew's request who came back home for a visit. Surprisingly, there were still a variety of bread left. I ended up buying 5 pieces of the sought-after mentaiko baguette. I tried a freshly baked one and couldn't stop eating. Three of us devoured one baguette in an instant. The freshly baked bread was crispy on the outside, soft inside, and piping hot - it was incredibly delicious!!! Thank you for the meal.

▷Spicy Chili Dog ¥390
▷Crispy Melon Pan ¥190
▷Mentaiko France ¥450
▷Curry Bread ¥220
Had breakfast at fullfull in Higashi-ku. You can enjoy your meal in the indoor seating area or on the terrace on sunny days. This bakery has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and their Mentaiko France and Melon Pan are the best in my book! The Mentaiko France, with carefully selected pollack roe and plenty of butter sandwiched between layers, is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, absolutely delicious. I recommend asking them to cut it if you plan to eat it right away. The Crispy Melon Pan lives up to its name with a addictive crunchy texture, and the hazelnut powder adds a delightful nutty flavor. The Spicy Chili Dog, which I tried for the first time, is loaded with ratatouille made with summer vegetables, mascarpone cheese, and jalapeño toppings, making it quite spicy! A must-try for jalapeño lovers. The Curry Bread had a rich and sweet flavor from simmering the curry for 6 hours, it was amazing! The drink options for dine-in include coffee, black tea (Darjeeling/Strawberry/Blueberry), and herbal tea, for an additional ¥150, which is a nice bonus. I've been curious about their canelé, which is usually ready around noon, so I'll aim to go at that time next. In addition to this location, they also have stores in Kashii and Shime-machi, as well as near Canal City Hakata, so be sure to visit a store near you!

"Purchased: Mentaiko French Curry Bread, Almond Croissant
The Mentaiko French was freshly baked, crispy on the outside and moist inside, filled generously with mentaiko. The edges were packed with mentaiko, it felt like the best part. The curry bread was delicious, but I prefer spicier curry. The almond croissant reminded me of the one I had at Tully's Coffee in the past, so I grabbed it without a second thought. It was tasty, but of course, it was different. Inside, there was strawberry jam. The one I had at Tully's had cream cheese inside, which I still think is the best. There were many other bread options that caught my eye, and I would definitely go back when I crave Mentaiko French again."

I gave up (T∀T) because the line at the register was crazy long (T∀T). They just brought out freshly fried curry bread, but the line was so long that I gave up and headed to my usual bakery (>_<). I want to try waiting in line to eat there next time. It's a really popular shop with a lot of customers (^ー^)

The mentaiko France for 325 yen and the cheese and cranberry for 259 yen were surprisingly delicious. Apart from the mentaiko France, everything else was also tasty. The mentaiko France was undeniably delicious with a generous amount of mentaiko sausage throughout. The cheese and cranberry bread had a nice crispy outer layer and a soft, chewy inside. The cranberry and cream cheese filling was also quite generous and satisfying.

I tried to go to Friend Pan, but it was closed, so I decided to visit after a long time. There weren't many reviews for some reason, but I have been coming even during the pandemic, and there was a long line today, but it was okay. I remember that there weren't many locations when I first went, but now they have opened up in various places. I wanted something sweet, so I bought the Milk Pan, which has condensed milk inside. I also bought coffee, which goes well with the bread. I used to think their coffee was really delicious, but it seems to have declined a bit. Maybe I drank too much good coffee before. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a shop known for Fukuoka specialty "mentai France" which originated in France. The shop was quite large, almost like a cafe, and very busy. While waiting in a long line, I picked out some delicious-looking bread. I went in the morning, but during Golden Week, many of the sweeter bread options were already sold out. However, while waiting in line, freshly baked bread like curry bread was coming out, so I was able to get some. The "mentai France" had plenty of mentaiko all the way to the edge, with a strong texture of small grains and a significant amount of mentaiko. The bread was soft and very easy to eat, with a very fluffy interior. The curry bread was perfectly round in shape, very cute. The curry bread was also soft, and as soon as you take a bite, the curry flavor emerges. The curry ingredients were easy to eat with the bread, and the size allowed you to taste the vegetables, which was very good. I thought the curry was very delicious, but undoubtedly, eating it with the bread would be the most delicious way to enjoy it.

Hello everyone, what's up? It's MoriP, who loves to eat and explore around Fukuoka! Today, I visited Full Full and tried their Black Sugar Kinako Donut. I would rate it 3.3 out of 5. It's similar to Mister Donut's Old Fashioned donut, but a bit moister. It doesn't make your mouth dry and is quite sweet, so it's best enjoyed with coffee. The crunchy sugar texture makes you want to keep eating. It's a generous portion, perfect for sharing with a few people. A great snack option!

A highly rated bakery in Fukuoka. I took a bus from Hakata Station to get there. Visited for the first time on a holiday morning. The shop is like a theme park for bread, very large. The parking lot is spacious. There are many trees, swings, and benches. I arrived a little after 9 am. There were about 50 people lined up. The line goes from the register, loops around once, and continues outside. You pick up the bread as you move along the line. - Black sugar and kinako donut 380 yen (tax included) - Good aroma, perfect texture. Addictive. - Chestnut and macadamia 280 yen - Impressive aroma of macadamia nuts and crispy texture. - Cannele 260 yen - Very delicious. It was a very popular shop.

Hello everyone, what's up? It's MoriP, who is exploring food around Fukuoka! Today, I visited Full Full.
- Curry Bread (Rating: 3.0): This is the 4th most popular item. It's a sweet curry bread with a mild taste. The sweetness comes from the vegetables. It lacks a strong authentic spice flavor, making it a favorite for kids and everyone. The curry has been simmered for 6 hours, resulting in a thick consistency. The minced meat adds a slight texture as an accent. The bread is thick and slightly crispy on the surface, but overall it's soft and fluffy. It's a safe choice with no standout features.
- Melon Bread (Rating: 3.9): This is the 5th most popular item. Among all the melon bread I've tried, this one has the perfect balance of crispy and moist texture. The surface has not only the sweetness of sugar but also a nutty aroma. The soft and fluffy bread dough collapses easily when bitten, revealing a surprisingly firm chewiness. Just like the chestnut and macadamia bread I had before, I love this chewy texture in Full Full's bread. This melon bread is competing for the top spot in my all-time melon bread rankings. It's unexpectedly light and not too sweet, making it a tempting snack to bring home when passing by!

A bakery located about a 15-minute drive from Hakata Station. It is located off Route 3 heading north, on a side street. In addition to the bakery, there are also other shops such as a greengrocer. It seems to be quite popular in Fukuoka, following Panstock. The popular bread in Fukuoka, Mentaiko France, was also a hit at this bakery. Despite the crowds, there were plenty of outdoor seating areas and multiple cash registers, so there was hardly any waiting time. I purchased the most popular Mentaiko France and the fourth most popular Curry Bread. The Mentaiko France was pre-sliced and packed in a bag. If you ask the staff, they may leave it unsliced. The outer crust of the Mentaiko France was crispy, while the inside was fluffy. It seemed to contain not only mentaiko but also butter. The mentaiko was well-filled, but I felt that Panstock had a denser filling. As for the Curry Bread, the curry inside is made with 6 types of vegetables, fruits, and ground meat. It was not spicy, but it had a rich and flavorful curry taste.

My coworker bought me my favorite bread from a famous bakery in Fukuoka. I especially love their mentaiko (spicy cod roe) France bread. The outside is crusty while the inside is soft and moist, filled with mentaiko all the way to the edges. It's the best! I also tried their canelé for the first time, it's a cute bite-sized treat. This bakery is truly delicious, I have to go there myself.

The featured item on the menu here is "Mentaiko France," and they are constantly baking them every 5 minutes, so the line flows smoothly and you can purchase them easily. I was recommended to eat them fresh, so I had the Mentaiko France in the store and it was really delicious. The crispy bread is filled with so much mentaiko butter that you need to be careful not to get your clothes dirty. Since each one is quite large, sharing is recommended.

I had Full Full's sandwich before, but this was my first time visiting the store. They have a wide variety of bread, catering to both adults and children. I purchased a coffee for 150 yen and enjoyed it with a sandwich and freshly baked mentaiko baguette at the outdoor seating area. I bought grilled chicken with basil sauce, ham and tuna salad sandwich, mentaiko baguette, crunchy melon bread, tomato Danish, and salty butter bread. Everything was delicious, but I highly recommend the grilled chicken with basil sauce, mentaiko baguette, and crunchy melon bread. The grilled chicken had sweet carrot remoulade and tender chicken breast, complemented perfectly by the Genovese sauce. The mentaiko baguette had a crispy and light bread with a strong butter flavor, making it easy to eat. The melon bread had a great texture, a perfect amount of sweetness, and was so delicious that I wanted to eat more.

It is a well-known famous shop for mentaiko croissant in Fukuoka. I found out that it was my first visit to the main store in 6 years. I used to buy it frequently when the store was next to Fukuoka City Hall, but that tenant building was redeveloped and disappeared. It moved from Tenjin to Canal City. The mentaiko croissant from Panstock the other day was delicious, but personally, I prefer this one as it feels more familiar. It goes perfectly with wine.

Hello everyone! What's up? It's MoriP, going around eating in Fukuoka! Today, I visited Full Full. I tried the "Mentaiko France (430 yen)" and rated it 3.6. This popular dish features spicy cod roe coated in butter, creating a delicious and mild flavor. The French bread is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making it easy for both adults and children to enjoy. The combination of perfect mentaiko butter and French bread is unbeatable. The "Chestnut and Macadamia (290 yen)" was also delicious, with a soft and chewy texture and a gentle sweetness. The large macadamia nuts added a unique accent, making it addictive. The chestnuts were subtly present, adding to the overall flavor. I recommend this to those who enjoy butter rolls or sweet bread.
