This was my second visit to the familiar Chisushi, so it felt like a nice conclusion. I had the chef's recommended 8 pieces of sushi, chawanmushi, and sake (Urakasumi). Oh, I forgot to take a photo of the shrimp... Oh well, please forgive me. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely go again. On the way back, I visited Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine.

We always rely on Chisushi. This time, I went with a friend who can't eat raw food, so we only ordered cooked dishes. It seems like it's not easy to overcome certain things in one go. We were able to eat squid and octopus. Let's go again. My friend is also eager to go. ✌️

Treat for myself for working hard at my usual Chisushi restaurant... It was delicious. I got a bit drunk with the 8-piece omakase, it was amazing. Actually, it was 9 pieces (forgot to take a picture of one). #Monzennakacho #MonzennakachoGourmet #ChisushiMonzennakachoBranch #TreatForMyself #Urakasumi #Delicious #EverydayLife #EverydayScenery #EverydayRecord #SmartphonePhotography #SnapPhoto #LookingToConnectWithPeopleWhoLikeTakingPhotos #LookingToConnectWithPeopleWhoLikeLookingAtPhotos #Monzennakacho

I went on a Sunday night and the toro taku and silver cod with saikyo yaki were delicious! The cost performance was good and the restaurant was clean. I was lucky to be able to make a last-minute reservation, as they were not taking walk-ins or phone reservations afterwards. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I had dinner at Sushi Sen tonight. I had flounder sashimi, grilled sweetfish, and a selection of nigiri (horse mackerel, sardine, tuna, ark shell). It was my third meal of the day, and I decided to drop in by myself. Luckily, there was one seat available at the counter, so I could sit down. I started with the seasonal recommendation, flounder sashimi, paired with a dry sake. The slices were slightly thick, tender, and had a delicate flavor. Since it's sweetfish season, I couldn't resist ordering the grilled sweetfish (prepared to wait a bit). It was my first sweetfish of the year, and it was absolutely delicious. For the nigiri, I chose my top three favorites. I overheard the chef mentioning that the saury, a seasonal fish, had finally become fatty and was available, so I couldn't resist ordering it. Turns out, the saury was the highlight of the meal. The nigiri was served promptly after ordering. Unfortunately, my phone battery died, so I couldn't take any pictures. Overall, it was a great meal.

This is a delicious sushi restaurant that I always rely on. The staff are friendly, they stay open late, and it's very convenient. For seating, the first place requires reservations, the second place is usually available, and the third place is usually open.

My son's request was for a "non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant." For a beginner's introduction to a non-conveyor belt sushi restaurant, Sen Sushi is perfect. The interaction between the chef and customers, the way the sushi is made, and just the right amount of liveliness. It was a great experience and a wonderful Christmas present. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Go for it! Bone Free Expedition Team Dinosaur Expedition Report 11. I thought that Chisushi's appearance was not that great. It's a chain store, you see. The interior was quite spacious with counter seats and table seats. The counter seats had a typical sushi restaurant atmosphere with 2 or 3 sushi chefs. I visited on a Monday night and it was packed! It's a thriving store, for sure. The phone kept ringing. Customers who came later were turned away because it was full! Anyway, it's reasonably priced. It's good for families. If you're going to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, this one is good. It felt like a mix between a local sushi restaurant and a conveyor belt sushi place. It's easy to get into, which is nice. Thank you for the meal!

On a weekend night, I was looking to go bar hopping and stumbled upon this place. In Monzen-Nakacho, many shops have short opening hours, but this one stays open late! I tried the fatty tuna, scallop, and horse mackerel sushi. I'm not a big fan of pickled radish, but for some reason, I always crave fatty tuna. The rolls are great for adjusting stomach capacity, and I love being able to enjoy the seaweed. For a side dish, I had edamame and rapeseed blossoms, the perfect healthy snack. Drinking lightly at a sushi restaurant is the best theory, right? I had shochu, with about five different kinds available. I was already quite full after the first stop, so I only ordered a little, but I had a great time. I'd love to visit again when I need more drinks in Monzen-Nakacho!

This sushi restaurant can be used for both meals and izakaya-style dining. It is easy to use for everyday dining. It is rare for a sushi restaurant to stay open late, which is a plus. The white fish and tuna dishes are delicious. I also often order the fatty tuna. It's nice that they have a lot of seasonal dishes on the menu.

I used to come to this sushi restaurant often when I lived nearby. They are still doing well just like back then. It brings back memories! I enjoyed the sushi while chatting with the chef. It's been a while. First, I tried three types of shellfish in front of me. The clam was a bit tough, but the others were good. The sushi craftsmanship is excellent, just like in the picture. The vinegar rice, which is not covered up with salt, is delicious! The grilled fish in sweet miso sauce also has a nice flavor. The sake is reasonably priced for a full glass. I was satisfied with the atmosphere, full stomach, and blissful time. The price was like the cost of one person elsewhere for two people. I left feeling satisfied. They don't seem to be affected by the shortened business hours request, as they are still open until morning.

December 7, 2021 Revisit
Visited again after 5 months. The atmosphere of the town is clearly different from last time. Visited with two colleagues for a second round. Entered at 8:00 PM, with about 80% of the seats occupied. Greeted with cheerful voices. Hand sanitizer at the entrance, no temperature check, and no ventilation at the entrance. There are partitions on tables and counters, but the difference from the normal seating arrangement is unclear. Had about 10 drinks of shochu highball and local sake with the two colleagues. We enjoyed a variety of sushi and side dishes.
July 7, 2021 First Visit
I will upload this log after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. On the day of the visit, Tokyo was under the priority measures for preventing the spread of the virus. Alcohol serving was limited to 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The stay was limited to 90 minutes. Stayed at the first place until a little past 7:00 PM. As expected, the place started to get crowded around 7:30 PM. So, we left and wandered around to find another place to drink. In reality, most places had stopped serving alcohol at 7:00 PM or were closed. Found this place and asked if they were still serving alcohol, and they were. Entered and found the place to be about 50% full. There were partitions on the table seats. No temperature check, and the entrance was not closed. Stayed from around 7:45 PM to about 9:30 PM. During that time, a few groups of customers came and went, but it didn't get too crowded. Had a few glasses of "Kamikawa" with soda for 550 yen each. Enjoyed dishes like pickled mackerel, sardines, and rolled sushi. It was delicious, but also felt a bit indulgent. Satisfied and full, thank you for the meal.

The appetizer was dried daikon radish with reduced salt, which was just right. The sashimi of amberjack and sardine had bones in the latter, which was disappointing. The rice was warm and had a good flavor. Items like marinated mackerel, flounder, squid, and ark shell were average like those at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The sea urchin was decent for its price. Overall, this sushi restaurant is suitable for casual dining, with reasonable prices and decent quality.

Menu:
- Bonito sashimi
- Horse meat sashimi
- Salmon roe
- Highball x3
Location:
About a 3-minute walk from Monzen-Nakacho Station on the Tokyo Metro. I arrived around 9:30 pm on a weekday and there were about 3 groups of customers already there.
Review:
I ordered bonito sashimi and horse meat sashimi as snacks. You can choose between ginger soy sauce and garlic soy sauce, and I chose the garlic soy sauce. Whenever I go to Chisushi, I always order the horse meat sashimi lol. The chef here is also friendly and will chat with you. It's a lifesaver for me when I'm drinking alone feeling lonely lol. I definitely want to visit again when I'm in the area!

This time, I decided to order some high-priced items. It's like receiving frozen salmon roe through the hometown tax system. The premium sea urchin at 900 yen is not cost-effective! As expected, the raw octopus with salt and lemon is number one. Still heavy on the alcohol... I tried tuna with fermented soybeans for the first time, and it was quite substantial and delicious!! Next, I will try ordering some side dishes too!

On this evening, we went to "Sen Sushi" in Monzen-Nakacho for a sushi dinner. Despite the large size of the restaurant, it was packed with customers and had a lively atmosphere. Each person ordered their own drinks and dishes, resulting in a mix of delicious and not-so-great items. There were seasonal dishes and others that were not as good, and the price didn't always guarantee quality. With a large group, it's hard to consider all these factors, so it's understandable. The staff's service varied due to the number of customers, but overall, it was a good place to enjoy a meal without worrying too much. Thank you for the meal.

It's less than a 10-minute walk from Monzen-Nakacho Station towards Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine. Chisushi is a restaurant that stays open late, with both counter and table seating available, and there were many solo customers. Cheers with an Asahi draft beer! They offer reasonably priced assorted sushi platters. On this day, I simply wrote down what I wanted to eat and placed my order! (laughs) Sweet shrimp, sea urchin, salmon roe, white fish, salmon, octopus, horse mackerel, tuna, scallops... I ordered a lot! (laughs) The sushi rice was just right, not too big or hard. The crab miso was incredibly rich and delicious. It was a thick type with a strong crab flavor and I ended up ordering more! They also have table seating, so it's a great place to enjoy with a group of people. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited the restaurant around 6:30 PM on a Sunday. I made a reservation the day before considering the possibility of the restaurant being crowded for dinner on a holiday. As a result, the restaurant was full, with a mix of counter and table seating. The concept of the restaurant is more like a seafood-centered izakaya rather than a simple sushi restaurant. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as sashimi and grilled items in addition to sushi. I ordered sashimi and sushi this time. Overall, the fish was fresh, especially the sashimi had a high level of freshness compared to the sushi. The sushi was small and easy to eat with slightly sweet vinegared rice, allowing the flavors of the fish to stand out. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food. The restaurant is located underground, and the noise level can be loud with the echoing voices of customers, but it is recommended for those who want to enjoy a variety of fish dishes at a low price.

I was a bit nervous asking the chef for something, but I was happy to be able to eat abalone and surf clam.
