Near Hakozaki Shrine in Fukuoka, I felt a bit hungry and decided to stop by a bakery that had caught my eye. I bought a melon bread for 150 yen. It was the final day of the Hakozaki Shrine festival, so there were many people walking around, and many customers were being drawn into this bakery. When I entered the shop, there were only three types of bread left, so I bought the freshly baked melon bread. As soon as I left the shop, I took a bite. The crispy texture of the sugar and cookie dough on top, combined with the soft texture inside, was really pleasant, and I enjoyed it very much.

I went to Nagata to buy a slightly late breakfast at around 10:30. The retro atmosphere combined with the delicious-looking food was amazing! And best of all, it was cheap! That's why there were so many customers. This time, I bought mentaiko croissant, piroshki, sausage bread, and cream bread. The curry bread seems to be popular and unfortunately, I lost in the battle to get one. I will definitely try again next time.

After visiting Itsukushima Shrine, we stopped by this bakery. It has a retro atmosphere and is popular among all age groups, from young people to families. The recommended item right now is the condensed milk bread, which costs 120 yen. It has a firm bread with plenty of condensed milk cream inside. Once you try it, you'll be hooked.

The partnership parking service has ended, just before Hakozaki Shrine. The drinks come in retro-style bottles and the bread is delicious and reasonably priced. The piroshki and Hakozaki burger were tasty. The bread with hojicha had a mochi-like filling. You can ask the staff to take your order, and you can also eat on the second floor.

Today, I went on a expedition to the Hakozaki area to eat wonton noodles. After finishing lunch a little early, I wandered around on my bicycle and came across a retro-style sign that read "Nagata Pan". Intrigued by the sign, I visited "Pan Nagata Hakozaki Store" for the first time in a while. The popular bakery, housed in a renovated traditional townhouse, was already bustling with people choosing their bread. Although they offered indoor dining, I had just eaten lunch so I opted to purchase a cream bun and a melon bun to take home. Despite the recent rise in ingredient prices leading to higher bread prices, this bakery offered relatively reasonable prices and a comforting selection of simple breads. The next morning, I enjoyed the cream bun with its generous custard filling that almost spilled out. With so many bakeries focusing on unique creations, it was nice to visit a bakery that stayed true to the basics. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the bakery in time for the 8:00 am opening. I opted for takeout today, but you can also eat in on the second floor. If you go early, you can find freshly baked bread that hasn't been sold yet. I waited 15 minutes for a freshly fried sausage bread. It was incredibly delicious.

Near Kushida-jinja Shrine in Fukuoka, there is a bakery. The main store is located in Kasuga. The shop has a retro atmosphere, with a second floor serving as an eat-in space. Instead of serving yourself, you pick your bread from a showcase. The prices are relatively cheap. There are many simple bread options, with fewer creative varieties. This time, I bought a sausage bun and a red bean bun. The sausage bun was to my liking as a savory option, with a warm and crispy sausage. The red bean bun was heavy and packed with plenty of red bean paste. The sweetness was just right, not too overpowering.

A retro-style bakery located near Hakozaki Shrine in Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City, housed in a renovated old house that is over 70 years old. In the afternoon, many items are sold out, but the nostalgic and gentle-tasting bread displayed in the showcase creates a nice atmosphere. There is a coin parking lot next to Hakozaki Shashinkan, and if you mention that you parked there during payment, you will receive a coin for free parking. The original tote bags are cute.

"Alicia's Food Log: On my birthday, during a night when a typhoon was approaching, I decided to stay in and went out to buy bread. I thought I had taken a photo of the bread, but it's gone... Amidst other bakeries closing temporarily due to the typhoon, this bakery was open and had many customers! I got a baguette, an butter bread, and a walnut bread. I love the appearance of these breads. The an butter bread had lots of butter, which I enjoyed. I find that simple breads are tastier than fancy ones. I'm grateful to the staff who worked hard during the typhoon. Thanks to them, I got to enjoy delicious bread."

On 4/24 (Sunday), I walked from Hakozaki Station to the Yakuin area to explore and enjoy some bread. It was about a 20km walk. When I started, it was cloudy, but the sun came out shining brightly from noon to evening, making me regret wearing long sleeves. Now, let me introduce the visited shops one by one. The second shop visited was "Nagata Pan Hakozaki Store". It has a traditional store appearance and is one of the several Nagata Pan stores in Fukuoka. At this shop, the staff serves you directly. I had planned to buy honey and cream cheese based on my research, but when I saw the potato bread, my heart wavered. Eventually, I chose the honey bread. It was generously coated with honey on the surface and made with brioche dough. When I took a bite, I found that the inside was hollow, creating a fluffy texture by incorporating just the right amount of air. On 4/25 (Monday) night, I enjoyed the potato bread from "Nagata Pan". It was filled with plenty of mashed potatoes. While many people associate sweet potatoes with sweet potato bread, the combination of potatoes and bread is also becoming quite popular.

"I love condensed milk bread and curry bread. Condensed milk bread, I love it♪ Whenever I see Milk France or condensed milk bread, I definitely buy it (*´ω`*) It was my first time trying baked curry bread. It was quite spicy and delicious. It's healthy because it's not fried♪ I also got a cute tote bag! It was delicious again this time. Thank you for the meal☆"

This weekend, I went on a bread tour! I couldn't find the salted sweet potato bread piloshki, which was a little disappointing (T-T). Other shops had breads that I had never seen before, which was exciting (^^). The bread was moist and delicious even when eaten as is!

Telework lunch. Around the retro atmosphere of Hakozaki Shrine, an area where I don't usually go. I bought a mackerel bento nearby, thinking I wouldn't be full, so I also bought bread here. I ordered my usual curry bread and either an anpan or a donut without hesitation, totaling 290 yen for two. It's a popular shop, so many people buy in large quantities, but I felt a bit sorry for buying only a small amount... At home, I started with the curry bread after the mackerel bento. Yeah, it's just delicious. Next, the donut. Amazing. This is a taste I really love. It might be even better to eat it cold from the fridge rather than freshly fried. I will definitely come back for the donuts from now on. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this bakery after visiting Sueyama Shrine. The retro vibe of the place is evident even from the font on the sign. When I asked the staff for recommendations, they suggested their most popular item, the condensed milk bread. I decided to enjoy it there on the second floor! #Condensed Milk Bread A French bread filled with condensed milk cream. It has a nostalgic taste. #Soft Cream Cheese A fluffy bread with a slightly tangy cream cheese filling. #Melon Bread A sweet and fluffy bread wrapped in crispy cookie. These traditional and delicious breads were a treat! Thank you for the meal!

The smell of fresh bread on a rainy day is the smell of happiness. At Nagata Bread, also known as Pan Nagata, a long-standing bakery with its main store in Kasuga, I heard they have a special item called "Maritozzo." I decided to go there for lunch and take a break later with a coffee. The name of the item I ordered was "Fuwa-ri," priced at 286 yen including tax. It's a soft and light cream-filled pastry, not too heavy. The Maritozzo is a popular item in the city, with Adam Dakota being the most famous for it. However, I haven't tried it yet as it's always crowded. The Fuwa-ri from Pan Nagata is a delightful combination of soft bread and creamy filling, making it a perfect sweet treat. If you're in the area, don't miss out on trying it! I went around 11 o'clock and waited in line for about 30 minutes. The Mentaiko French Bread was ¥190 and just the right size for one person. The French bread was soft and fluffy. It was a satisfying portion even with just one piece.

- I want to eat curry bread every day. - I always buy curry bread at the convenience store on my way home. - It seems like my son knew that curry bread is my favorite, so he bought some at a bakery near Hakozaki Shrine. When I tried it, the curry inside was authentic and flavorful, making the curry the star of the bread. It felt like eating curry on top of naan bread. It's a unique curry bread that may not appeal to everyone.

Nagata Pan (Pan Nagata) is a bakery with a charming Showa retro visual that is very appealing! It has been around for over 40 years and has a total of four stores, with each store being independently operated by different owners except for the main store. This means that the taste may vary from store to store. They offer a wide variety of bread, all displayed beautifully on silver trays. The curry bread, sausage bread, cream cheese bread, walnut bread, and other pastries are all delicious. The fried items like curry bread and piroshki are freshly fried, while the bread itself is soft and fluffy. It's easy to eat and I'm sure everyone will find something they enjoy! The bakery is always busy with customers, even forming lines in the rain. It's a popular spot for sure!

The weather was nice, so I decided to stop by this bakery on a drive. I was considering going to Pan Stock, but it looked like there would be a line, so I chose this place near Hakozaki Shrine. The retro exterior was charming, and right next to it was a torii gate. You select bread from the showcase instead of using tongs, which is hygienic. I bought about five different kinds of bread, and they were all delicious. My personal favorite was the most popular condensed milk France bread...the generous amount of condensed milk cream and the firm baguette were amazing, I could chew on it forever. Maybe they should make it into gum... With more time spent at home, I'm experiencing a personal bread boom again. I should bake some myself sometime. Thank you for the meal!—I've started Instagram!

I have visited the main store of Pan Nagata in the outskirts of Fukuoka City many times before and have also written reviews. The shop sign says "Nagata Pan," but I think it may be a branch that has been independently established. Nowadays, it is rare to choose the bread you want from the showcase and communicate it to the staff in a face-to-face manner. This is also hygienic, especially in the current situation with the spread of the new coronavirus. - Half loaf of bread: 350 yen When I bought it, it was still freshly baked, so they put it in a paper bag for me. When I got home, the paper bag was soaked. It was delicious, comparable to high-end bread that is popular these days. - Turkish rice flour bread: 180 yen From the name, it seems to be a bread made with rice flour. It is filled with cheese and roast ham, and the quality is unbelievable for just 180 yen. - Curry bread: 140 yen I believe curry bread should be eaten right after buying it. The curry inside was moderately spicy and delicious! I wish they could put a little more curry in it, even if they raise the price a bit. - Condensed milk French bread: 130 yen This seems to be a popular bread. If this is only 130 yen, it's a great deal! Although they don't have the stylish bread like in a certain bakery, all the bread looks delicious. The staff's service is very good.
