We ordered chilled tofu, black truffle potato salad, raw sea bream, kale Caesar salad, seared horse mackerel, and pork belly wrapped in mentaiko. The black truffle potato salad was incredibly delicious!! Fukuoka never disappoints. The pork belly wrapped in mentaiko was outstanding. Everything was delicious in the stylish restaurant. Couldn't ask for more!! It was a great start to my Fukuoka trip!!

I had seen the lunch scene on TV and tried to visit a few times, but they had stopped serving lunch due to COVID, so this was my first visit. It was a drinking party, so I tried not to disturb others too much and took as many pictures as possible, although there are some items whose prices I don't know (-｡-; The appetizer was eel nigiri wrapped in seaweed, which was also served at the Tenjin branch. The sashimi platter was good, especially the horse mackerel. I didn't know the prices as I just ordered randomly (^ ^) The sushi set of three pieces included sea bream, horse mackerel, and tuna for a reasonable price of 550 yen! In Fukuoka, the very popular NUMBER SHOT (I want to call them NUMBER SHOT-sama because they have been so helpful) is a place I have visited a few times at the Tenjin location, but this was my first time at the main store. I made a reservation online over three weeks in advance when my friend, who lives abroad, confirmed their visit to Fukuoka. My friend wanted the 2-hour all-you-can-drink course for 5000 yen starting at 7 pm. On the day of the reservation, my friend informed me that due to rain and thunder, the flight was delayed and they would likely arrive at Fukuoka Airport around 7:30 pm. I called the restaurant to change the reservation time, feeling a bit guilty as I had canceled a reservation for the same friend for the same reason a few months ago. They graciously agreed to change the time to 8:30 pm. Later, my friend informed me that they would be even later, so I called again to request a change to 9 pm. The restaurant kindly accommodated this request as well. Despite the delays, my friend's flight was further delayed, and they would likely arrive at the restaurant around 9:20 pm. Feeling like I couldn't change the time any further, I decided to go ahead and start without them. Just before 8 pm, my friend messaged me saying they were still at Kansai Airport, which seemed odd. It turns out my friend had fallen asleep at the airport due to the long delay and missed their flight without realizing it. Due to the rain, there were many flights waiting for takeoff, and my friend's flight was 14th in line. Realizing the significant delay, I knew I couldn't cancel the reservation last minute. I planned to go to the restaurant and apologize, prepared to pay a cancellation fee. Just before arriving at the restaurant, my friend messaged me again saying they were about to take off and would arrive at Fukuoka Airport before 10 pm. They asked me to eat without them and enjoy the meal. When I arrived at the restaurant and explained the situation, the staff were understanding and even commended me for going through such a tough time. They had reserved three seats at the counter, allowing us to sit side by side or 90 degrees apart. The course meal started with a visually stunning assortment of appetizers, including sashimi and sushi, which exceeded my expectations in taste and quality. The following dishes were also delicious, with standout items being the jumbo shiitake mushroom with anchovy butter sauté and the bouillabaisse. My friend finally arrived just before 10:30 pm, and to my surprise, the staff had prepared the full course meal for them, starting from the appetizers. On the third night of my Fukuoka trip, I visited this restaurant. After attending the Number Shot festival at PayPay Dome, I came to this restaurant with the same name. The interior was stylish with many young people. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted good. Overall, the portion size of each dish was small, but it's great for those who want to try a variety of dishes. However, it was disappointing that there were few types of shochu for a place in Fukuoka, and the portion size was small. In Kyushu, when you order shochu, the image is that they fill the glass full, but maybe that's just my perception...

Everything was delicious! For dessert, we ordered a creamy pudding with plenty of figs, which was absolutely delightful. Despite it being a long time since my last visit, the staff even remembered my friend who came with me and gave us a special plate of treats. The pistachio sandwich on the plate, which is also on the menu, was a highlight for pistachio lovers like me. I highly recommend it to all dessert lovers. I will definitely come back again. We ordered a sashimi assortment, dried chicken wings, anchovy butter with celtuce and water spinach, and creme brulee for dessert. The sashimi assortment came with three types of fish, and we each ordered two dried chicken wings, which are a must-try at NUMBER SHOT. They go perfectly with yuzu pepper and the plates are lovely. The anchovy butter dish was a perfect accompaniment to our drinks. I wanted to try the dessert at NUMBER SHOT, so I ordered the creme brulee. The manager remembered me from a previous visit and brought out a special plate for me, which was a touching gesture. I used Hashigo for the third time. I made a reservation this time because it was full when I visited without a reservation before. It's a popular place, so reservations are a must! Not only is it Instagrammable, but the food is also delicious! There were many interesting and stylish menu items. There is a wide variety of wines, with detailed descriptions and friendly staff. I would like to try the Afternoon Tea limited to weekday nights! The deep-fried daikon was delicious, even though it was my first time trying it! However, in the current emergency situation, it was empty today, so I decided to go in for a taste and some drinks. The manager was friendly, the location was good, and I had a good time. However, the prices were a bit high, so maybe it should be considered as a location fee. In a district with a younger age group, being able to enjoy this level of taste means that the restaurant lives up to its popular name. However, the cost performance is not that great, so I won't go there often, but I hope they continue to do well. If it's this crowded during an emergency situation, I think reservations are necessary.

From May 19th to 22nd, I traveled to Fukuoka and Oita to meet important people. I arrived at Oita Airport around 5 o'clock, rented a car, and drove straight to Fukuoka City on the Kyushu Expressway. The designated area in Fukuoka City, called Daimyo, is said to be a fashionable and fun place next to Hakata and Tenjin. The restaurant I reserved was called "Nanba Shot," which made me chuckle as it's a play on words. It turned out to be a very stylish restaurant. They served dishes that combined Fukuoka's delicious ingredients with French flair. The assorted sashimi was seasoned with a variety of herbs and oils, and paired perfectly with the white wine we were served. The slightly sweet duck liver paste and the crab cream croquette soaked in bisque were also delicious with unique flavors. The night in Daimyo was filled with endless conversation and great food, and we ended the night with a memorable meal.

A shop located a short walk from Tenjin, which seems to have been featured in the Michelin Guide. The expectations were high. However, upon entering the shop...hmm...there was a bad smell...a smell I have encountered in izakayas located underground. When seated, they handed me a towel, but the container for the towel seemed unsanitary. I decided to order some dishes that caught my interest. The dishes looked beautiful, but the taste was...well...the fried daikon was delicious. However, I must say something about the pork cutlet sandwich. To be honest...it was not tasty. It was the first time I had to immediately spit out what I had put in my mouth in a restaurant. The combination of bread and marinated mackerel was just terrible.
