It's been a while since I had Ikkyu Ramen! It's a place I feel like going back to regularly. Since it's been a while, I thought I'd try something a little different today. I ordered the Wonton Noodle in large size. The soup has a unique sweetness that's addictive. The wontons are delicious too! I can't really tell the difference between wontons from different shops, but oh well, haha. Thank you for the meal!

This might be my favorite ramen I've ever had in Fukuoka! They don't offer extra noodles, but I got a large portion. I went around 11:30 am to avoid the lunch rush, but soon after a line started forming. It's probably better to avoid peak lunch hours!

I took a photo, but got scolded before, so just showing the exterior. It's close to home so I end up going, but the taste isn't really to my liking. Still, for some reason, I keep going. There were a lot of customers as usual when I went, it was full.

Visited GW. Arrived around 2:30 pm thinking, "I want to eat ramen." It was delicious as always! I used to love a shop called "Kumonryu" near Dazaifu Interchange, and inside that shop, there was a sign saying "Sister shop, Ichikyu Ramen ○○ shop." When I came to Ichikyu Ramen, the style was the same, so I understood. I want to eat Kumonryu.

Wonton noodles are delicious. Ordering wonton is a trend among older generations, including my own generation. Especially my parents' generation really loves wonton. The restaurant has an open and spacious layout. There is a full parking lot in the back. Be careful when entering and exiting because it's narrow. The ramen is delicious. The wonton is the best. This is a famous restaurant. It's a delight to slurp the delicious soup, tasty wonton, and noodles. It's a happy experience. The restaurant is quite popular, with customers coming in one after another by car.

Kasuya Town, Kasuya District, Fukuoka Prefecture. A ramen shop that I used to visit with my father since I was a child. This time, I visited with my son. The exterior, interior, and history of the shop are very impressive. Only counter seats are available. There was a wait around 4:00 pm. I ordered the ramen for 650 yen (tax included). First, I asked for permission to take photos (they generally do not allow photography to avoid disturbing other customers, but they allowed it for the ramen). The soup is a brownish color with a sweet taste and chashu. The deliciousness is still the same. This ramen may be a matter of personal preference, but for me, this place is special and I love their ramen. We enjoyed our meal as we bathed in the evening sun. I finished the soup completely. Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since my last visit. I passed by the area and decided to stop by. I visited around 5 pm, so it was not crowded, but there were still other customers. I was feeling hungry, so I ordered the large portion of ramen. It was quite filling. The soup had a hint of sweetness in the distance. The noodles were medium thick. It was delicious. It gets really crowded during lunchtime, and the parking lot is always full, so be careful. I will visit again.

It's spring. I came to this restaurant on a sunny but cool weekday afternoon, perfect for open-air dining. It was around 1 pm and although the restaurant was almost full, I was able to find a seat right away. I ordered the ramen in large size without extra toppings. The soup was the usual delicious slightly sweet flavor with just the right amount of seasoning. The noodles had a slightly chewy texture that paired well with the soup. It was nice to enjoy a tasty bowl of ramen in the cool weather before the summer heat sets in. I need to come back again before summer arrives. I wish Fukuoka's summer could be cooler. This experience made me realize the importance of addressing climate change issues.

I went to "Ichikyu Ramen Kasuya Store" in Kasuya Town, which I had been curious about for a while, for dinner! The restaurant has a retro Showa era atmosphere. I parked my car in the parking lot next to the store and went inside. It's a counter seat-only restaurant. I ordered the "Large Ramen". After about 5 minutes of waiting, it arrived! I took one of the boiled eggs placed on the counter, peeled it, and put it in the ramen. First, I took a sip of the soup. It was a thick and flavorful soup. It was extremely delicious. You can taste the sweetness of the pork bone, which was really nice. Next, I slurped the noodles. They were medium-thin straight noodles and cooked firm. You cannot request the firmness of the noodles. There are no extra noodle options available. There is no pickled ginger or spicy mustard greens either. The toppings included chashu, bamboo shoots, and chopped green onions. The chashu was delicious. I finished the soup and the noodles. It was a very delicious ramen. Payment is in cash. It was a really tasty ramen experience!

Fukuoka gourmet expert recommends the Wonton noodles, one of the "Three Great Tonkotsu Ramen". The soup is a blend of tonkotsu broth and soy sauce base, with a rich flavor and no unpleasant smell. The noodles are not too thin, and the standout feature is the incredibly peppery wontons. Despite their spiciness, they complement the noodles and soup well, creating a unique and enjoyable dining experience.

Summer is an open-air ramen shop. It's a favorite place where you can enjoy traditional ramen in an open atmosphere while feeling the air along a fairly busy road on your back. For me, summer is the off-season for this shop, but I suddenly felt like eating there, so I decided to go around 1 pm on a weekday, thinking there would be few people in line since it was early July and the temperature was over 30 degrees. I prepared by cooling my body thoroughly with the car's air conditioning set to the coldest and strongest settings about 20 minutes before arriving. The shop is compact with about 10 seats at an L-shaped counter, with the kitchen inside. Traditionally, this shop does not have air conditioning. Usually, there is a line, but perhaps due to the heat, a seat opened up just as customers were changing, so I was able to sit right away on the right side of the counter when viewed from the road. However, that seat happened to be right in front of the ramen pot, so it was hot due to the steam, but my body cooling preparation paid off. I ordered the large size without pork intestines. The ramen has a relatively light tonkotsu soup with a sweetness to it, giving a traditional feeling. The noodles are automatically served firm. There are no options for things like sesame or garlic, as the ramen is already perfected. There is a pretty strong aftertaste after eating. It was a good experience once again. I hope this style of shop continues for a long time.

I had been wanting to go to this ramen shop for a while. I decided to try it for lunch after camping. The counter was full from the moment they opened, mostly with local regulars. The shop had an open cafe-like atmosphere with the kitchen in the center, giving it an old-fashioned feel. The menu was simple, so I ordered the basic ramen. It was enjoyable to watch the cooking process from the counter seats. The classic ramen that came out soon after felt unchanged from the past. It was the epitome of ramen, neither more nor less. I think the fact that it hasn't changed much over the years is what connects with customers of all ages. The taste was familiar yet delicious, giving me a nostalgic feeling. It felt like a taste I had experienced somewhere before. It was a simple but tasty meal. Thank you for the meal.

Since the days of my ancestors, I have been taken to this small restaurant by my father when I was in elementary school. It has been about 50 years since then. The small shop, with its doors wide open in the summer, exudes a sense of openness and continuity of the good old days. Nothing has changed. Memories of the past naturally come to mind. It's a wonderful space. However, with the changing times and my taste preferences shifting, combined with trying out new places, I hadn't visited this restaurant in 6 years. Watching the efficient young man handling the noodles brought back memories of the past owner, and I couldn't help but ask, "How is the former owner doing?" To which he replied, "He passed away." The former owner was a quiet artisan who rarely engaged in conversation. He was truly a "ramen artisan." This visit made me realize once again the greatness of the former owner, and I couldn't help but notice the expansion and elevation of Fukuoka's ramen culture in recent years. For me, this restaurant is not just about tasting ramen, but about savoring the memories behind my closed eyelids.

I heard that the ramen at Kasuya shop is delicious compared to Ohashi shop and Roushi shop, so I visited Kasuya shop. I ordered a large serving of ramen and found that the soy sauce flavor was slightly stronger, leaning towards pork bone soy sauce. Those who like this flavor profile may find Kasuya shop delicious. Ohashi shop has a refreshing taste with a hint of sweetness. Roushi shop is popular among those who prefer a refreshing taste and appreciate having a parking lot. By the way, many people mistakenly think that Ohashi shop is the original store, while Roushi shop is the main store.

It's been quite a while since my last visit, maybe 7 or 8 years. This place is known as one of the top one-nine ramen shops in Fukuoka. I ordered the ramen. I forgot that you can't choose the firmness of the noodles or get extra noodles here. The soup has a lot of soy sauce flavor, just like I remember, with a nice balance of sweetness. The noodles have a slightly yellow color but don't have a strong alkaline smell. They are cooked on the firmer side. The chashu is tender and of high quality. If I wasn't driving, I would want to pair the chashu with a beer. I finished it all in no time. Personally, I prefer the one-nine ramen in Chikushino.

When I come to Kasuya, I always end up stopping by this place. Today, I had ramen again. They don't offer extra noodles here, it's an old rule. This nostalgic spot lacks sophistication but the rich, thick broth is a classic. Surprisingly, the simple "furikake onigiri" goes well with the ramen. Personally, I consider this place one of the top three timeless ramen spots in Fukuoka, alongside "Akano-ren" and "Hacchan Ramen". When the chef serves the ramen, even if their fingers touch the soup, it adds to the charm. Coming here feels like time has stopped since the Showa era. Thank you for reading until the end. If you liked the review, please like, follow, and save the restaurant. Thank you.

It's a classic tonkotsu ramen that never gets old no matter how many times you eat it. The flavor of the sauce and soup is enhanced by savory seasonings, which may receive mixed reviews, but I personally love it. It gets crowded during lunchtime, so I recommend going at off-peak hours to avoid waiting.

Area 387, Oaza Okuma, Kasuya-cho, Kasuya-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture - A 10-minute walk from JR "Kadomatsu Station"! Located along the Fukuoka Sasaguri Line. The "Ikkon Ramen" group is a legendary Fukuoka restaurant that has been in business for over 50 years since its founding in the main store in Ohashi, Minami-ku, Fukuoka. While they have several branches in Fukuoka City, this "Kasuya branch" is a shop opened by a different owner from the other "Ikkon" branches, with some different rules such as "no extra noodles," "no hard noodles," and "takeout ramen available." The exterior is the most retro, with a hut-like structure made of slate, maintaining the atmosphere of a legendary Showa-era restaurant. The interior has only an L-shaped counter, with a small space. The open counter seating is a feature of "Ikkon Ramen," with the closest distance to the shop owner at the sand-covered seats. At lunchtime, the place is packed, with steam and heat filling the air, creating an immersive experience. I tried the "Wonton Men" and started with the soup - delicious! The richness and depth of the pork bone soup are well-balanced, although there is a bit more "kaeshi soy sauce" compared to other "Ikkon" branches. In terms of overall flavor balance, this shop ranks at the top in the "Ikkon ranking," alongside the "Oji branch." The noodles are thin, with no option to specify hardness, but the preparation may vary depending on the ramen ordered. It's a good initiative not to accept orders like "extra firm" that are typical of Hakata-style ramen. The wonton filling is on the rich side, which may be divisive in terms of preference. The pork belly "chashu" was delicious. If you're on a "ramen tour" in Fukuoka and want to learn about the history of tonkotsu ramen, this is a must-visit spot. Thank you for the meal. Enjoy Ramen Life☆

This place has been around for a long time. I tried it for the first time. According to reviews, it's a sweet tonkotsu shoyu ramen. When I took a bite, I felt it was a bit of a lighter "miso tonkotsu shoyu" ramen. But something was off. I could taste the oil, but I couldn't feel the richness. The restaurant is small. It can seat about 10 people at the counter. When I went in for lunch, it was full. It must be popular. But it didn't suit my taste. The thing that bothered me the most was... when the ramen was being served, the thumb was in the ramen. Just that made me lose my appetite. And then, the ramen served to the person next to me also had a thumb in it. The person next to me seemed concerned too. Maybe this was okay in the past, but it's a concern now.

I came here for the first time in about 15 years. I rediscovered this place as a popular spot thanks to review sites. It seems like the Kasuya branch is particularly popular on Tabelog, with many dedicated fans. The restaurant has a very open and spacious feel. The menu seems to focus on ramen dishes. They offer Kikurage Ramen, Wonton Men, and boiled eggs as side dishes. I had the default ramen with firm noodles and a milky soup. It seems they don't offer options like extra noodles or noodle firmness adjustments. I heard that Ichikyu serves Wonton Men at all their branches, so I'm curious to try that next time.
