I had Korean food in Shin-Okubo. It was relatively quick despite the line. We ordered the Mopan set lunch for 2800 yen before 12 pm on Saturday, and it was enough for two people. The cheese! The cheese balls were sweet and salty, and they were amazing. I wonder if there is a two-hour time limit during peak hours? It was delicious.

I went to Nene Chicken in Shin-Okubo for an early lunch. I bought some 10 yen bread and tteokbokki while thinking about having a substantial meal soon. I ordered the Chicken Assortment and Cheese Chicken Pa. When the chicken arrived, I was shocked by the amount. I can't eat all of this. I wish they had told me in advance! It's too much! And the Cheese Chicken Pa never came... it was actually delivered to the table next to mine (laughs). The taste was as expected, not bad at all. I learned my lesson on portion sizes, so I'll be more careful next time.

This is Kūbuta, a lover of fried food. Among them, Korean chicken is a favorite that I crave about once every 2-3 weeks! I often visit a chicken restaurant in Shin-Okubo, but this time my foodie partner and I decided to try a new place. It seems to be a famous chicken restaurant even in Korea. Looking at the menu, there are so many choices that it's hard to decide. The dishes we ordered this time were: Seafood Champon for 2,180 yen (tax included) and Half & Half Chicken for 3,259 yen (tax included). The Seafood Champon was served on a cassette stove with a large cuttlefish prepared by the staff into bite-sized pieces. The soup was bright red, but not too spicy, with plenty of mussels and a rich seafood flavor. The Half & Half Chicken included Padak Chicken with lots of crunchy green onions and Yangnyeom Chicken with a sweet and spicy sauce made from gochujang, garlic, and sugar. Both dishes were very generous in portion size. Even the leftover chicken can be taken home in a container for take-out. The crispy coating when eaten in the restaurant is amazing, and the texture of the chicken when eaten at home is different, making it delicious in a different way. I'm full and satisfied. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I love Korean fried chicken. I especially like this place near the station because each piece of chicken is big. They have a variety of flavors which is also a popular feature. (It can get crowded during meal times so it's best to go early) What I had: - Half & Half set (total of 16 pieces) - Kimpa I usually always eat Snow Chicken, so this time I tried the new flavors introduced in March. - Padak Chicken: Lots of green onions with a sweet and sour taste. The sauce at the bottom gives a unique sensation. Is it mustard? Wasabi? It's different from both but very similar. The original sauce is very warming and impactful! - Creamy Chicken: Lots of crunchy onions. The taste is creamy and mild, with a sweet flavor. The sweetness after the sourness and spiciness is just right. Eating the Kimpa in between gives a refreshing taste, creating an endless loop of chicken cravings! You can also take away any leftovers. The frog-shaped water bottle is cute. Water is complimentary.

I went to a popular large chain restaurant that has been in Korea since May 1999 and has recently expanded to Japan! I was seeking the authentic taste and was drawn by the convenience of its location near Shin-Okubo Station. The highlights include: - Yangnyeom Chicken: Sweet and savory flavor that is addictive - Fried Chicken: Crispy coating, juicy inside, boneless chicken - Nene Chicken: The crispy texture and sweet and savory Yangnyeom Chicken were just like the original, truly impressive. If you can't finish your meal, you can also take it home, which is one of the charms of Korean cuisine. The restaurant was full of customers! Of course, they also offer takeout. If you're unsure about Korean cuisine in Shin-Okubo, I recommend Nene Chicken.

My daughter, who had just returned from Hiroshima, said she wanted to eat at this place called Uyonu because she had just finished watching a movie. It had been a while since our family of four had gathered together, so we made a reservation and went. When we arrived at 7:00 PM, there were already 5-6 people waiting, so I was glad we had made a reservation. My wife and son ordered bottled Super Dry beer, I had a lemon sour, and my daughter had a cola. For food, we ordered the seafood pancake and the hot pot set. The hot pot set came with 3 types of chicken, kimchi, cheese balls, tteokbokki, and potato fries, and it was a good amount for the four of us to share. I enjoyed the Joondae with some potato fries and had a taste of the large chicken pieces as well. The chicken came in 3 different flavors and was delicious, filling us up nicely. With drinks and food, the total cost for the four of us was around 6,000 yen, which was quite cost-effective. On our way out, we stopped by the neighboring Myeongdong sushi roll shop and bought some kimbap for breakfast the next day.

The world is preventing the spread. I wanted to eat in the Okubo area, but after 22:00, is Chonsol not available? Until 23:00. Then I wandered near Shin-Okubo Station. Nene Chicken is open. Normally crowded with women in their 20s, but it's easy to get in now. This is a huge Korean chicken chain with 1300 stores worldwide. It landed in Shin-Okubo and Tsuruhashi and quickly expanded to 40 stores in Japan. I ordered a half of Yangnyeom boneless chicken and seafood jeon as a side dish to go with Super Dry. As expected, a huge portion arrived. The seasoning is as expected, and the meat is tender, making the simple fried chicken delicious. The crispy jeon is delicious at first bite but gets greasy towards the end. It can also be a souvenir, so I wanted to order Chapchae, but I gave up due to the sweetness of the Gochujang sugar in my mouth. I added another Super Dry. If you want to eat Yangnyeom chicken, it's low-priced and has super-sized portions. TWICE's music is playing loudly in the restaurant. The women I'm with are happy. Well, that's fine. I resent the coronavirus.

When I visited Nenechicken 2nd store, it was mistakenly named Johnno at the time, so I refrained from posting. Recently, it has been renovated and now looks stylish and neat. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday and there were many empty seats due to the Corona period. The staff were relatively straightforward. I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae lunch from the lunch menu. The soup here is bright red and quite spicy. It had a good punch, but also had a proper seafood broth flavor, and was delicious. My favorite was the soy sauce-pickled onions that came with the side dishes. It might not be served now that the place has become more stylish.
