On Sunday around 11:30 am, after my health checkup, I decided to visit this restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. I was dining alone, and when I arrived, the place was full, so I had to wait for about 15 minutes before my name was called. I was shown to a seat at the end of the counter, which felt like a semi-private space thanks to the partition, allowing me to enjoy my meal in peace. One of the reasons I wanted to try this restaurant was because I knew they had a system where you write your order on paper. I'm not good at calling out to waitstaff to place my order, so I prefer places where you can write it down or use a tablet (I can only go to sushi places like that). From where I was seated, I couldn't see the "Today's Specials" written on the wall far away. I should have brought my glasses (laughs). There was a simplified version of the "Today's Specials" menu on the counter, so I used that as a reference, along with ordering from the rotating sushi plates. I had no intention of drinking, but the relief of finishing my health checkup, along with the excitement of being free, led me to unknowingly consume 2 glasses of draft beer and over 10 plates of sushi due to the rebound from fasting the day before (laughs). All the sushi was delicious, but what stood out to me were the live conger eel, carabinero prawn, and red sea bream (all from the "Today's Specials"). The live conger eel had a unique chewy texture, different from the simmered version. The carabinero prawn came with a grilled prawn head, crispy and fragrant, making it the perfect beer snack! The freshly prepared prawn was still moving its tail. The thickly sliced red sea bream (nodoguro) was seared, with excellent fattiness, so I had to order more of that at the end. I didn't worry about the price as I indulged, so the bill exceeded 5000 yen, but I was completely satisfied with my lunch, enjoying the beer as well. The restaurant's dim lighting and small sushi rice portions made it easy to enjoy the food as a snack, so I look forward to visiting again for a daytime drink (I think having the waiting list outside the restaurant would be more convenient!).

It's been a while since I visited. The staff seemed to have changed completely... I didn't feel the impact of inflation on the prices... they were cheap... The tuna, squid, and flounder were all cheap and delicious... The sushi rice was also lightly packed, making it easy to eat. I also ordered takeout, which was also reasonably priced. Payment can be made with PayPay or cash.

In search of delicious sushi, I visited "Ichiba Zushi Uotatsu" in Fukuoka City. I parked my car at the Fukuoka City Fish Market parking lot and entered the restaurant. It was my first visit at 10:40 am on a Saturday. The seating options included counter seats and table seats, and the place was almost full due to opening at 9:30 am. I sat at a counter seat that happened to be available. Despite being a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, they had a system where you write down your orders on paper after looking at the menu. I ordered Shimaji, Kanpachi, Ikura (all 345 yen each including tax) and also some Amaebi (230 yen). The orders arrived one after another within 5 minutes. I started with the Amaebi, followed by Shimaji, Ikura, and Kanpachi. The fish was fresh, the rice was light, and there was no wasabi added, so you could add it yourself, just like in a regular conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Overall, it was a satisfying sushi lunch with good value for money, totaling around 1,600 yen.

It's quite far to walk from Akasaka Station, so I used Takutaku to get there for about 990 yen one way and 590 yen back. The price is cheap and the uni (sea urchin) is delicious and plentiful for 600 yen. However, as a beginner, I found it confusing to understand the ordering rules. I had to call out for a staff member to help me.

Visited on a Saturday night! No waiting in line! Ordered flounder, live sea bream, yellowtail, lean tuna, barracuda, fatty tuna collar, cutlassfish, and abalone!! It had high ratings in reviews, so I had high expectations, but the taste was just okay! The rice was small and a bit lacking! The toppings didn't feel very fresh when I went, maybe it was just that day! The lean tuna was thick and delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Above all, I was surprised by the amount I was told at the checkout! 12 pieces of sushi, a small dish of sesame mackerel, red miso soup, 1 glass of draft beer, and 1 cup of sake for 3,300 yen!! I'm worried if it wasn't a mistake.. The fish was truly fresh^^ The tuna was reasonably priced and delicious! The red miso soup also had a large piece of fish in it, which was a nice touch^^ However, the items not recommended on the handwritten menu (the regular paper menu) were.. I ordered squid from the paper menu, which was cheap (I think 2 pieces for 150 yen), so it was just okay. It was a bit disappointing that there was only one type of sake and I didn't know the brand. But since it's mainly a sushi place, I guess it can't be helped. I'll definitely come back when I want a quick sushi fix! Thank you for the meal^^

When you enter the Nagahama Fish Market Hall, it is located immediately to the right. Fukuoka's fish is delicious everywhere. It feels similar to visiting Machizushi, a popular sushi place in Osaka. It surpasses the level of conveyor belt sushi. In terms of cost performance, it is on par with Sushiro and Hyotan Sushi. I will definitely go for a daytime drink as well.

At the market hall, there is a restaurant called Gyotatsu. It's always crowded with customers and I've been curious about it. I arrived about 15 minutes before opening on a Sunday, but there were already people waiting. I wrote my name down and waited until they opened. Luckily, I was able to get in on the first round. Here, the sushi rotates like a conveyor belt, but you write down what you want on a piece of paper and hand it to the staff. The paper is divided into hand rolls and battleship rolls. This is great for people who are not comfortable with calling out loudly. All the fish was delicious, and it only cost a little over 3000 yen for two people, which was surprisingly cheap. It was a great meal!

Today, I went to the Nagahama Sengyo Ichiba market in my neighborhood for the "Nagahama Sengyo Ichiba Citizen Appreciation Day," which is held about 6 times a year. The market prices are indeed cheap, but buying whole bonito and such, I wouldn't know how to prepare them. I went to see if there were any hidden gems. On the way back, I decided to either have a meal inside the Sengyo Ichiba market hall or get takeout. Since it was quite crowded today, I bought 5 pieces of amberjack sushi for 440 yen at the revolving sushi restaurant, "Kaiten Sushi Fishten." I ignored the customers lining up at the storefront, and instead picked what I wanted from the refrigerated showcase and purchased it at the register inside the store. Eating in would have led me to eat a lot and end up spending around 4,000 yen per person, so it's nice not to have to wait in line. I enjoyed the amberjack sushi with miso soup at home, and it was quite delicious with its thick slices. The size of the fish and the taste of the rice are completely different from supermarket sushi. It feels like a good deal.

I didn't find the sushi on the conveyor belt appealing, so I decided to order from today's recommended items. Although they were a bit pricey for conveyor belt sushi, they were all fresh and delicious. The sea urchin was recommended from both Karatsu and Hokkaido, but I had to choose one due to the cost. I debated for a while, but decided to wait until July for the Karatsu one and went with the Hokkaido option. It was sweet and delicious.

I thought all the dishes were fresh and any choice would be the right one, but I was particularly impressed by the red tuna. The sushi rice vinegar was just right and perfectly complemented the fish. The seaweed on the Tekka Maki was also delicious. I will definitely visit again when I come to Hakata.

After a long time, I visited Nagahama Market Zushi around noon. I started with a bottled beer and some sesame mackerel as an appetizer. I also ordered today's three kinds of sushi, which were all delicious and served quickly. By the way, the three kinds were flathead, horse mackerel, and white fish. I also tried the white fish selection with red sea bream and flounder. I added some recommended and interesting individual pieces, all of which did not disappoint. The seared red tilefish was particularly excellent, and I left feeling very satisfied. I thought I would eat quickly, but ended up enjoying a longer meal than expected. Sometimes it's nice to indulge. Thank you for the delicious meal!

The dishes were all fresh and delicious! The boiled conger eel was not in a high-end restaurant style, more like a chain restaurant, but it was fluffy and tasty. There are many different types of fish available daily, so you won't get bored. The sushi rice was shiny and delicious, and the way it was molded was not too firm, which was good. Plus, the prices are cheap. Considering the freshness and size of the sushi, I don't think you can get this price at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Tenjin or Nakasu. It's all thanks to being in the market hall. By the way, the chawanmushi was served in a plastic container.

I went to the market hall for the first time in a while. The weather was nice, so I rode my bike there! It had been a while since I had sushi. When I arrived around noon, it was full, but there was no wait. I wrote my name and was called to the counter in 2-3 minutes. I decided to try the recommended dishes - chu-toro, squid, striped jack, salmon belly, and more. The flounder belly was delicious that day! I tried to order another plate, but it was sold out. Bummer! I finished with a sushi roll and red miso soup, feeling full but the bill was wallet-friendly. So far, this place is the best for conveyor belt sushi. Thank you for the meal!

Exciting first gourmet trip to Fukuoka. Upon arrival, we headed straight to Sushizanmai in Hakata Market. First, we tried the famous sesame mackerel. It was delicious! The seared cutlassfish, flounder, and Genkai amberjack sushi were also fresh and incredibly tasty! The Hakata soup was also delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I headed to Mentaiju for breakfast, but there was a huge line, so I decided to take a bus to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant instead. It wasn't too crowded, so I quickly got a seat and ordered mainly unfamiliar sushi toppings, especially white fish. They were all so delicious that I couldn't stop laughing. The sardines and horse mackerel from Genkai were all so tasty, making me laugh out loud. The soy sauce was also amazing, I want to buy Fukuoka's soy sauce and take it home with me. Thank you for the meal!

Fresh and varied selection of dishes. The highlights were the seared dishes, such as scallops, swordfish, sea bream, and barracuda. Squeezing lemon over them added a nice touch. The sea urchin from Karatsu was expensive but delicious. I think I'll pass on the raw conger eel next time. Steamed and lightly seared conger eel is the way to go.

Checked out of the hotel. On the last day of my trip to Hakata, I had rotating sushi for breakfast. I heard that Hakata is known for delicious fish, so I went to this place located in a market building. I had 5 dishes of natural sea bream, natural flatfish, conger eel, octopus, and seared swordfish for just under 2,000 yen. The rice was small and crispy, easy to eat. The pickled ginger at the counter was also delicious. The sushi I ordered was a bit slow to arrive, but it was tasty. Recommended for those who want to try various types of sushi and snacks. There is also the original Nagahama-ya (ramen) nearby that opens early in the morning, so it's a plus to be able to visit both places!

Since I was a child, I have always been taken to this sushi restaurant by my grandmother on my birthday. The sushi, soup, everything is perfect. It is very popular, so it's best to go right after it opens to avoid running out of ingredients. I will definitely visit again when I go to Fukuoka!

In Japan, Kyo Sushi is said to be the best revolving sushi restaurant, but this place is not inferior at all. Moreover, it is unknown. If you go, go now. Located in the Market Hall in Nagahama in Fukuoka's Central Wholesale Market, this revolving sushi restaurant is known for its fresh ingredients and daily recommendations. While there is a revolving rail, most of the sushi is not on the rail. You order by writing on a piece of paper. Uni, ikura, various types of tuna - everything is delicious. Prices are reasonable for a revolving sushi restaurant. If you don't want to wait in a long line, try to avoid peak lunch hours.
