The large portion ramen for 800 yen is a great value with plenty of pork slices! The mini negi cha-meshi for 250 yen was delicious as always, it has been 7 years since my last visit and I was satisfied with the taste remaining unchanged.

I visited Ichishinken, inspired by the popular shop Ichiryuken in Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, where ramen costs 800 yen including tax. Keijun in Moji Ward, Kitakyushu City, is also a shop inspired by Ichiryuken. The apprentice of Ichiryuken runs only one shop, Ichikoken, in Karatsu. When I hear the sound of draining the noodles with a clang during the noodle frying process, it reminds me of my visit to Karatsu. The soup made from pork bones and chicken bones is slightly light, but the rich umami flavor spreads throughout the mouth as soon as you eat it. Just like Ichiryuken, there are bone pieces left at the bottom of the bowl after finishing the soup. It's truly a blessing to be able to taste the flavors reminiscent of the popular Karatsu shop that has closed down in Kitakyushu.

I visited for lunch! I finally got to visit Ichimanken, which I had always passed by because the parking lot was always full. There were 4 people waiting outside during lunchtime. You write your name on a paper in front of the store and wait in line. When your turn comes, the staff will call your name and you can enter the store. After about 10 minutes, I got seated. I ordered the Char Siu Ramen. Many people around me ordered the ramen in large size, which is nice because you can get a large size for an extra 50 yen. I sat at the counter today and was able to watch the master making ramen while nibbling on some hard roasted beans provided. It was like entertainment, and watching it made me look forward to the ramen even more. After about 10 minutes, the ramen was served. There was oil floating on the surface of the soup, and I thought it might be a bit greasy, but when I tasted it, the soup was flavorful without being too heavy, and it was delicious! The noodles were medium-thin without specifying firmness. The Char Siu seemed to be pork thigh. It's a traditional style in Kitakyushu, but the completion of the soup, noodles, and Char Siu were all high quality, and I really liked this ramen. Even after finishing the noodles, the soup lingered. For health reasons, I refrained from finishing the soup completely...haha. Come to think of it, there were no wood ear mushrooms in it. I might actually prefer it without them; overall, it was a ramen that I really enjoyed! It was delicious! I will definitely visit again.

Isshinken in Ogura Kitaku, Fukuoka Prefecture is a popular ramen shop with a narrow parking lot. The shop has white tables and chairs. The ramen features straight noodles in a rich pork bone broth with a strong but flavorful taste. The broth is thick and coats the noodles well, making it satisfying until the last bite. However, I used to finish the soup, but now I feel guilty leaving it due to health reasons.

I visited the restaurant as soon as it opened. When my order arrived, it was beans? Today's menu was chashu ramen and onigiri. The ramen tasted like a version without the crispy lard of Daiei Ramen in Kurume. As someone familiar with Kurume ramen, it was a taste that brought back memories.

I went to Ramen Ichishinken in Oghata, Kitakyushu City, Kita Ward. The beans and pickled ginger that come out first are delicious! The ramen is like Kurume ramen, with hot soup served generously. It's so delicious. Consistently tasty. I will visit again.

Today, I went to Kitakyushu City for work. I decided to visit the famous restaurant Ichishinken in Kokura while I was there. I knew it was popular and there would be a line, but it was indeed packed with families during Sunday lunchtime. After a while, I got inside and ordered ramen with firm noodles. They also served me peanuts and pickled ginger. I remembered seeing this before at a ramen shop in Karatsu, where they have you eat peanuts before the ramen. The ramen arrived, with a hot soup that looked rich but had a deep flavor and was light. It was delicious. The noodles were slightly thick and went well with the soup. I thought about getting an extra serving, but they offered a half serving option, which was great. The noodles in the half serving were thinner. The soup remained hot until the last bite, showing its addictive quality. I want to come back again, even though it's far. I later found out that the head chef trained at a famous shop in Karatsu, which made sense.

Formerly located in Onga Town, Nanjing Kuromon. Having eaten over 365 bowls of ramen in a year, he inherited the taste of Kuroki in Yahata Higashi-ku. The head chef of Kuromon, who said the best ramen was at Ichiryuken in Karatsu. With Ichiryuken now gone, Ichiryuken's taste is inherited by Ichishinken. While Ichiryuken had chicken bones, Ichishinken is pork bone only. The umami of the pork bone soup, simmered slowly, permeates every part of your body. The chashu bowl at Ichishinken is also delicious. Although it's a little far from the city center of Kokura, you'll want to go back again.

The pork bone ramen is here! Arrived at 12:00! Thanks to the rain, the parking lot was full and had to wait a little, but it wasn't a big deal! I ordered ramen for 700 yen and black fungus for 120 yen. The chef carefully pours the soup from the stockpot. He seems very focused. The pickled ginger is served in a small cup and the black fungus is on a silver plate. Finally, the ramen is served. It looks delicious! It has a perfect level of richness, with just the right amount of pork flavor for those who want to enjoy the taste of pork bone. It's not too strong, which I like! The char siu also has a good texture and I am satisfied.

There was a reception paper where you had to write your name, number of people, and car number. Cars were called by their number, so we waited in the car. The ramen had a refreshing taste that would appeal to a wide range of people (recommended for those who don't like heavy flavors). The chashu had no fat at all, which may have been a coincidence, but it had a firm texture and was delicious. The negi chameshi, despite its appearance, had a light taste with a smooth sauce. There were many customers ordering.

Intersection corner store parking lot may have few spaces, be prepared to wait. The noodles were drained well and the taste was like a strong MSG flavor. The chashu was lacking in flavor and a bit dry. Should have just stuck with the regular option. Well, you won't know until you try it. Personally, I won't be going back next time.

It was delicious!! I arrived right at 11:00 am on a weekday when they opened, but the parking lot was already full. I waited for about 20 minutes for a table. The rich pork bone broth was really tasty. The portion size was already big, so I couldn't even get to the extra noodle refill. I want to go again!

This ramen reminds me of the taste of Karatsu. It's really to my liking. It would probably go well with rice, but I can't eat that much. This is my second time trying it, but I'm sure I'll come back at least 5 more times before the end of the year. I wish there were a few more parking spaces, but I guess if that were the case, there would be long lines. I don't like waiting in line, so I think it's fine as it is.

It's a very simple tonkotsu ramen, but after trying various tonkotsu ramen, I ended up coming back here. The taste is always consistent, which is great. This is the best tonkotsu ramen. #Ramen #TonkotsuRamen #KitakyushuGourmet

When I visited Kokura, my friend's classmate took me to a ramen shop. Despite the unique smell of tonkotsu ramen, it was surprisingly light at first, but then a rich flavor spread in my mouth. While eating, I thought, "I want to eat this again!" I wished not to get too full as I continued to eat, wanting to savor every last drop of the delicious broth. (I ended up not finishing it and got angry at myself) I definitely want to go back! I already want to eat it again just by writing this post. lol

I visited a ramen shop that I had been curious about for a while. The restaurant had about 10 seats and there was already a line forming before lunchtime due to its popularity. I wrote my name on the waiting list and waited outside. I ordered the large ramen for 800 yen. The soup looked like it was about to overflow from the bowl, which made me eager to eat. The tonkotsu soup was very smooth and delicious. I quickly finished the ramen as I alternated between sipping the soup and eating the noodles. The chashu was lean and lightly seasoned, making it easy to eat without overpowering the ramen. Despite being in a competitive ramen district with several popular shops nearby, this ramen shop stood out as one of the best.

I had been rejected several times due to holidays, temporary closures, and full parking lots, but I finally made it. The menu is similar to the ramen shops commonly found in Kokura. I was curious about the Negi Chameshi, but considering my recent stomach condition, I chose the mini size. It took over 5 minutes for the ramen to arrive. It felt a bit long, but I realized it's not because they were being slow, but rather because I was being impatient. The ramen that arrived was a thicker type compared to the usual Kokura style. The soup was rich, and the lean chashu was just right. In the Kokura style, some shops can be a bit watery, while others can be too rich, but this shop's rich style was quite enjoyable. The Negi Chameshi was also delicious. It was a taste that makes you want to come back again. Thank you for the meal.

I had been interested in Ichimanken for a while, and when I saw a parking space open in front of the store, I parked right away! (Although the hedge made it a bit difficult to park, maybe that's why it was available, haha) The ramen here is like the old-fashioned tonkotsu ramen, which I really like. It came with three large slices of chashu and the seaweed was also good. I got carried away and ordered a large serving of ramen with an extra helping of noodles - it was a knockout! Thanks for the meal!

Today I had a business trip to Kitakyushu. I visited Ichishinken as usual for a day trip. Lucky for me, the parking lot was empty and there was only one person waiting outside. I was able to enter without much of a wait. I ordered the ramen and negi chameshi (mini). First, a small dish was served, like the one you would get with soba noodles. It had some beans on it. I tried one but it was hard, so I gave up (laughs). When I opened the lid with the beans, there was a small amount of pickled ginger inside. I think it's good because there is no waste. Before I knew it, my meal arrived. The aroma and appearance of the bowl looked great. Oh? It seems there are no wood ear mushrooms on top? That's a shame. Now, let's try the soup. It was a slightly thick soup. The taste was smooth, but the rich flavor of the pork bones came through strongly. However, it didn't leave a lingering aftertaste and was refreshing. It was really delicious! I love this soup. Next, I tried the noodles. They were straight, medium-thin noodles. The firmness of the noodles was default, but they were cooked just right, with a great texture and chewiness. The noodles mixed well with the soup and were very tasty. Yes, it's really delicious! Next, I tried the negi chameshi (mini). It had thinly sliced char siu and chopped leeks. The char siu had a sweet and rich flavor, allowing you to taste the meat's umami and the sweetness of the fat. I slurped the noodles, ate the negi chameshi, and sipped the soup... before I knew it, I had finished it all (laughs). This lunch put me in a good mood for the upcoming business meeting. The ramen was delicious, the staff were all charming and friendly, and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lively but not unnecessarily noisy. Kitakyushu is really a great place. Ramen is so delicious... I need to make more business trips to Kitakyushu (laughs). Thank you for the meal! I will visit again!

I ordered the tamago ramen, onigiri, chashu rice, and extra noodles!! The ramen was incredibly delicious!! It might be the best in Kitakyushu! The rich pork bone soup with a strong umami flavor is amazing! It goes perfectly with the slightly thicker Hakata noodles. It's so delicious! The chashu rice with its sweet and savory sauce is also incredibly tasty! The onigiri has just the right amount of salt. There is also salt on the table, so you can adjust the seasoning yourself if needed, which is great! This place is a must-visit in the Kitakyushu area! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I arrived around 2 o'clock and found one empty space in the parking lot. The restaurant was full of customers, so I wrote my name on a piece of paper and waited for about 10 minutes. I found out they were offering half-priced seasoned eggs during lunch time, so I ordered a ramen with seasoned egg topping. After waiting for about 5 minutes, my bowl arrived. The ramen had a rich pork bone broth aroma that increased my appetite. When I slurped the noodles, they mixed well with the soup and flowed into my mouth. The seasoned egg was delicious with a semi-soft yolk, visually appealing, and had a flavor I liked. I would like to visit this restaurant again.
