[Onigiri and World Cuisine] @ Bakuro-yokoyama A place where living and office are combined + a building like a diversity building has been built, and there is a dining hall on the first floor. - Onigiri set lunch 1,000 yen - Karaage 250 yen I chose the specialities "Onigiri with ginger and lotus root" and "Salmon onigiri". The lotus root and ginger were crunchy, and the large leaf also added a nice aroma to the rice balls. Delicious! For side dishes, there was macaroni salad, pickled oil tofu with egg, and kinpira burdock. They all tasted like home-cooked meals, which was nice. I'm at an age where I crave meals made by others, so it was delicious. I'm starting to feel that the meals I make myself aren't as tasty. I'm getting bored. The pork soup with plenty of ingredients had a gentle sweetness with pumpkin in it, making it very comforting. The karaage was really delicious. The outside was crispy, while the inside was juicy. I want them to teach me how to make it. Good employee benefits, right? I envy those who live there. They are open only on weekdays for lunch from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. I arrived at a place that had some availability for a late lunch around 2 pm on a regular day. They had a set with one onigiri and a set with two onigiri. I chose the one onigiri set, which came with miso soup, side dishes, and onigiri. I think it was 800 yen. It was nice to be able to choose from about 10 different types of onigiri. I chose the mentaiko cream cheese flavor. It arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The miso soup had lots of vegetables, but no meat. The onigiri was quite large. The side dishes were also vegetable-heavy, making it a healthy lunch. As I was eating, children kept coming in one after another, saying "I'm home!" and sitting on the sofa in the middle of the restaurant, chatting with the staff. I'm not sure of the concept, but it seems like the back of the restaurant has a kind of daycare feel to it. It's a mysterious place. Thank you for the meal.

You can also see the kitchen from the dining area! This time, I ordered a set of two rice balls. I chose the pickled vegetables and chicken rice ball. The rice balls were already made, so they arrived in just 5 minutes. The rice balls had a gentle flavor with a hint of dashi broth, and they were delicious! They were slightly larger in size. The miso soup was also hearty with plenty of ingredients that warmed me up. It was nice to get a good amount of vegetables! The side dishes included fried tofu, cucumber and fish cake, and a hamburger. The hamburger was juicy and very tasty! The quality was so good that it could be served at home... that was the only downside... It was delicious! I will definitely visit again!

After the long weekend, I was craving fish for lunch but couldn't think of a suitable place to satisfy that craving. Eventually, I decided to try a place called "Omusubi to Sekai no Gohan" in Bakurocho. This cafe-like establishment caught my attention after watching a TV show where the main character enjoyed changing his set meal rice to onigiri. I ordered a set of two onigiri, choosing the "Gari Shio Saba" and "Salmon Suji Kombu" flavors. I paid using PayPay as they do not accept cash. The atmosphere was stylish and appealing to women, making me feel a bit out of place. The onigiri set, served with miso soup, was decent but didn't quite match up to other renowned places I've tried before. Overall, the experience satisfied my curiosity, but I don't see myself returning anytime soon. (6/10)

The miso soup is like a hearty miso vegetable soup. Other side dishes include croquettes with cheese, fried eggplant, and simmered vegetables. Cabbage with a pickled flavor. I chose the salmon rice ball, which also had shiso leaves. I usually eat two rice balls, so I thought one might not be enough, but I ended up feeling full. However, I wish it was a bit cheaper. The spacious interior is nice, but it might fill up quickly during lunchtime. I realized I prefer rice balls over rice triangles. ^^

However, the main plate had a small portion, with a bit of grandma's pickles and a bite-sized daily side dish. If they reduced the size of the plate, it might be better as the quality of ingredients is great, but for 800 yen, it seems a bit expensive considering there are several delicious onigiri shops in Ningyocho that also use high-quality ingredients. Maybe I'm not conscious enough about food quality?

I had lunch near the company. Walking along Daimon Street from Kodemma-cho towards Ningyocho, I turned left at the corner of Nihonbashi Tax Office, and the restaurant was on the right. I arrived around 12:05 on a weekday and was able to enter without waiting. I ordered the "rice ball set" (800 yen). I thought it might be a cafe-style meal for women, but surprisingly, it was quite filling and satisfying. At times like this, I can't help but think, "I'm getting old." Or maybe nowadays, women can eat just as much as men, I don't know. The taste was healthy and low in salt, which seems to appeal to women. Personally, I welcome this kind of food influence from my wife. The cafe-like interior allows you to eat in a relaxed atmosphere, but I noticed people lining up, so I left promptly after finishing my meal. The miso soup was full of vegetables. The salted rice ball was simple yet delicious. The mackerel rice ball had a satisfying amount of fish, but the set might be a bit small for men in terms of portion size. [Beverages] Various drinks are available. Water is self-service, with a water pot and cups in the center of the store. [Service] There aren't many eateries in Tomizawa-cho, so there seems to be some demand. Although it's not a place I usually go to, the staff were kind, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great, so it was a place I would definitely want to visit again!
