I stopped by on my way home from work to do some shopping. Actually, I bought something here yesterday as well. Yesterday, I had the seafood bowl with extra toppings for 750 yen, but I wasn't sure what was actually extra about it. So today, I ordered the regular seafood bowl and a sashimi platter for 650 yen. The sashimi platter had a variety of toppings and felt like a good deal. And the leftover toppings that I couldn't finish, I put on top of natto for a great value meal in the evening. I recommend it.

The donburi here is pretty decent! I usually order the Sasabune Don with less rice and more toppings for around 700 yen. It's convenient and they even offer miso soup instead of chopsticks and soy sauce if you don't need them.

The 525 yen seafood bowl at "Donburi Marudon" is a great value for the money. There are many different options to choose from, so you can't go wrong. If it's your first time, I recommend starting with this place for lunch. You don't need chopsticks or soy sauce because you'll get miso soup. There are so many options that you can decide by looking at the sample photos in the store. The Sasafune bowl I had this time had a variety of toppings which was nice. You can also get a larger portion of toppings for 735 yen, or a larger portion of rice for 630 yen.

If you walk about 30 minutes from Shinkoiwa Kitaguchi with determination, you will find a mysterious family restaurant called Hanaya Yohei, where you can eat a bowl for 500 yen at this one-coin shop. I have used it about three times. There are a variety of bowl options, and it is surrounded by bustling shops such as Minori Kai Shotengai, Hanaya Yohei, Seven-Eleven, and Maruetsu. Even though there are not many people walking around, it becomes crowded at night. It's a very popular restaurant. I use it when I want to quickly buy a bowl with my bike.
