Friday evening, when I left the office, it was raining outside. Due to the high humidity, I decided to choose a restaurant where I could go without using an umbrella for dinner. I ended up choosing this restaurant, which I hadn't visited in about two years. I arrived around 6 o'clock, and the place was already packed with many customers. The only available seats were at the counter facing the wall, so I sat there. However, even that seat was quickly filled up after I arrived... The popularity of the place hasn't diminished! I ordered the "Special Rosu Katsu Set" that I had tried before. It was a "limited" item that seemed like a good deal. It took about 15 minutes to arrive, probably due to the crowd. At first glance, it looked the same as before... but when I took a piece with my chopsticks, something felt different. In the past, you could see that a lot of egg was used to bind the breadcrumbs, as the egg would turn yellow, but this time it was missing... The breadcrumbs easily peeled off. The crispy texture had changed to a crunchy one when I took a bite... The amount of meat was the same, but I felt like it was tastier before... I don't think they lowered the quality of the meat, but... I was quite hungry that day, but I didn't feel as satisfied as before... The rice and miso soup were the same as before... but refills were no longer free. However, the rice was still free for upsizing, so I went for it. But I feel like the rice was tastier before, maybe I'm just being too picky? I ordered a large serving of rice, so I was full after finishing it, but in terms of satisfaction, it was a bit iffy, as mentioned earlier. In a time when prices are increasing everywhere, I respect their decision not to reduce the portion size or raise prices. However, if adjustments are made that make the taste seem to have declined... Also, considering the weather that day, I wish they had adjusted the air conditioning a bit... Frying food in the humid heat makes it lose half its deliciousness... Thank you for the meal.
