The set meal with simmered fish head for 1500 yen was delicious. It included simmered fish head, konjac sashimi, chawanmushi, miso soup, and rice. The simmered fish head was cooked in a perfectly sweet and savory sauce, and I couldn't stop eating until the end. I was worried I might get bored halfway through, but it was amazing. I would love to have it again while enjoying some drinks. I visited around 1 PM on Saturday and was lucky to find a seat at the counter. The table seats were fully booked with reservations.

I visited during the day on a regular weekday, there was no line. The restaurant was almost full inside. I ordered the sashimi set meal. For an additional 400 yen, you can change it to 3-4 pieces of sushi, but I didn't do that this time. The sashimi included flounder, sea bream, squid, and amberjack, all of which were fresh and delicious. The crunchy texture of the amberjack was particularly good. The sweet and savory flavor of the sea bream head soup was extremely tasty! I wish there was more meat on the sea bream though. It was so good that I wanted to order more. The soup and rice were also delicious, and I finished everything in no time. Thank you for the meal!

From Fukuoka. The final stop of the arena tour. Arrived at Fukuoka Airport and decided to try a top-rated seafood restaurant in Itoshima along the coast. However, there was a long line surrounding the restaurant, so we had to look for another option. We found another restaurant nearby, but it was reservation-only for the day. Disappointed, we returned to Hakata to search for a place to eat. We came across a restaurant that served Taimeshi set meal. The meal was served on a large tray with a big piece of sea bream, teeth and all. The seasoning was just right and delicious. In addition to the sea bream, the set meal included rice, miso soup with sea bream, pickles, chawanmushi, vegetable salad, and sliced konjac in miso dressing. The menu mentioned a price increase, but at 1500 yen, the set meal was very satisfying and generous. The restaurant seemed big at first, but it turned out to be very reasonable. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

While driving, my husband found and decided to try this restaurant. It has a spacious parking lot and looks like an established place. They offer a lunch menu, including sushi options. I opted for the sashimi set meal (1,600 yen including tax) which surprisingly came with both sashimi and simmered fish. The sashimi included items like sea bream, squid, and something called "mabayaki." The simmered fish had a sweet and savory flavor, but I wished there was more meat on the fish head. The meal also included small portions of chawanmushi, mayonnaise-dressed vegetables, and a soft fish paste. The miso soup was delicious and the rice was shiny. The pickled vegetables were made with fresh seafood and were quite popular among locals. Overall, the meal was satisfying, but I wished there was more meat in the simmered fish. The total cost for two people was 2,900 yen (cash only).

We had lunch with the family of the bride at Genkai-san. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Hatae Station on the JR Chikuhi Line. We held a small gathering with our family for the first time in a while in a room on the second floor that could accommodate about 15 people, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We enjoyed a variety of dishes including sashimi assortment, tempura set meal, nigiri sushi, seafood bowl, chirashi sushi, simmered fish head, and local chicken tataki. The chicken tataki was particularly unique and delicious. For locals, it may be common, but the fish from the Genkai Sea is truly delicious!

I visited a restaurant in search of fish dishes and arrived around 1 pm, but they were still preparing. However, a staff member approached me and said, "We were full, so we were preparing. But now we have a table available, please come in." I was seated in a private room at the back. I ordered the boiled fish set meal, which arrived in about 10 minutes. It was huge! I took a bite and it was delicious! The boiled fish had a great flavor and the rice was really good. I managed to eat all the meat. Thank you for the delicious meal.

We used this restaurant for a celebration of someone's 88th birthday. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were only 13 family members present, but they gave us a large room that could seat about 30 people. It felt spacious and comfortable. We ordered a set menu for around 5,000 yen, and it was so filling! The meal included thick sashimi, tofu salad, steamed egg custard, shrimp, cutlassfish, 2 turban shells, tender and delicious meat, tempura, simmered sea bream head, chirashi sushi, and soup. For dessert, we had ice cream. The staff were all very kind and willingly took photos for us. Thank you for taking care of us.

February. Valentine's Day. And yet... it's hot? On the way back from Fukuoka, the heated train was unbearably hot, like hell... Finally arrived at Hatoyama station for work in the afternoon. When it comes to lunch around Hatoyama station, I usually just go to the same restaurant, but on this day... I stopped by this place that I passed by on the way back from work. "Genkai" restaurant. It's about a 5-minute walk from Hatoyama station. I've visited a few times for gatherings with old men, but this was my first time having lunch there. I've been wanting to visit for a while. I arrived just before lunchtime. "Is it still okay?" I asked as I entered. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter. It's a sushi restaurant counter. Nice atmosphere. I was served hot tea in a nice teacup. I looked at the menu. The lunch menu includes set meals, rice bowls, and kaiseki dishes. I decided to go with a rice bowl. Seafood bowl, Tekkadon, Tempura bowl, Uni bowl... Hmm, I'm torn. I remember how delicious the tuna was when I came before. So, unusually for me, I ordered the "Tekkadon" (1,200 yen). It arrived soon after. The main Tekkadon was served. Along with a side dish, miso soup, pickles, and soy sauce. The chawanmushi was still being prepared. I dug into the Tekkadon. It looked beautiful and luxurious! First, I spread wasabi evenly, poured soy sauce, and dug in! The thick-cut tuna was delicious! Tuna, rice, and shredded seaweed... Ah, magnificent. I'm not a big fan of tuna, but this was really good. The side dish was a delicate vinegared vegetable dish. It was delicious too. The chawanmushi was cute and the miso soup was also delicious. It was a satisfying lunch. For 1,200 yen, it was a great deal. Thank you for the meal. The portion was quite generous and I left satisfied. A little luxury for lunch. Nowadays, it's not uncommon for ramen sets to cost over 1,000 yen. In terms of cost performance, this is top-notch. Sushi restaurant lunches are great! I might get hooked on this. 【2019.02.03】Today, I attended a family gathering for a memorial service with close relatives. The food served was as expected, as I had tried it before. ①The nigiri sushi was fresh and delicious, served with chawanmushi. ②The rolled sushi and inari sushi were tasty, but there was a lot left over. ③The assorted fried chicken was more than enough for six people, and there was also a lot left over. Overall, the food was satisfying.

【2019.01.12】I came to choose the dishes for my uncle's memorial service with my mother and aunt. The restaurant seems to be thriving, so I came to taste the food to make sure. ①Sushi: The freshness of the sea bream, squid, mackerel, fatty tuna, flounder, sea urchin, and salmon roe is excellent, with a firm texture. It comes with clear soup. ②Inari sushi: The seasoning is great! I ordered it to taste, but my mother and aunt didn't eat it. After returning from Ajya Beach, we planned to go to another restaurant for lunch, but my husband took a wrong turn and ended up finding this place instead. Sushi live fish cuisine Genkai. It was a nostalgic old-fashioned restaurant that seemed to be frequented by locals. The menu consisted mostly of sushi, with options like simmered fish and tempura for lunch. We decided to splurge and ordered the Chirashi Sushi for 2,200 yen. It came with miso soup and chawanmushi. The Chirashi Sushi was loaded with fresh sashimi - amberjack, tuna, squid, sea bream, flounder, sea urchin, and salmon roe. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, the best I've had in a while! The Chirashi Sushi had an elegant taste and was delicious. The miso soup was a bit on the salty side, but my daughter loved it and almost finished it. The dashi must have been really good. I was nervous about walking into this place without knowing much, but it turned out to be a great choice! I would love to visit again when we're in the area. They have self-serve tea, but you have to ask for children's plates and water. There didn't seem to be any high chairs. There were tatami seating and a counter. The restaurant was full of customers, indicating its popularity.
