Every time I passed by the Italian restaurant that I had been curious about in the neighborhood, I was always too intimidated by its stylish exterior and cute drawings on the walls to go in. But today, being the middle day of a three-day weekend, I mustered up the courage to finally step inside. I looked over the lunch menu and, as fans of mine (if there are any...), you may have noticed, the limited 3-meal Sicilian rice with Itojima pork that I wanted was unfortunately not available today. So, I opted for the pizza lunch set recommended by the staff, which was handwritten on the whiteboard (pizza, mini salad, hot coffee). The mini salad, which I initially thought was Caesar, turned out to have a different dressing, which was a relief, and it was a very delicious salad. Next, the pizza (probably around 30cm) arrived, and despite it being my first visit, I paid extra for more cheese. The dough was fluffy, loaded with toppings, and had a refreshing taste that matched the slightly hot weather today. I was happy that the spiciness came from something other than Tabasco. As I had eaten about 2/3 of the pizza, the staff kindly struck up a conversation with me, and informed me that the "Itojima pork roast pork bento box" was limited in quantity, so I must try it next time!! Hearing that it was limited in quantity, I hesitated for a moment, but immediately placed an additional order, as it was the last one. I had eaten enough with the pizza, and I had initially thought about having dessert, but when the colorful bento box arrived, I couldn't help but feel excited and opened it. The potato salad and appetizer-like items were delicious and had a healthy feel to them. The soft roast pork was sandwiched between garlic butter rice with a slightly tangy onion-like flavor, and the cute olives on top allowed for various flavor combinations. The hot coffee, brewed by "Delonghi," had a strong, espresso-like intense flavor that I enjoyed. Although I couldn't deny feeling like I had overeaten, the lunch was truly delicious, and the staff was so friendly. Even though I am still exploring new places for now, I would love to come back regularly once I settle down.
