Hello, it's RamenWalking! Today is Gelato Day, so I visited Cafe Latte in Nishiin and had some gelato. Despite eating while walking and sweating during my walks, I've noticed my weight increasing lately. Analyzing my behavior pattern, I realized it goes like this: lunch -> walking -> sweating -> craving something cold -> visiting a sweets shop. Today, I couldn't resist visiting a new gelato shop for something cold after lunch. I arrived at 12:40 and ordered a triple gelato with vanilla custard, peach (+50 yen), and pistachio (+50 yen). The gelato is made by an Italian gelato artisan using natural ingredients, which really brings out the flavors of each flavor. The vanilla custard had a rich and mellow flavor, perfect for starting with. The peach gelato was made with seasonal fruit, ensuring a delicious taste. And the pistachio gelato had a distinct nutty flavor with a hint of sweetness, and the texture was amazingly smooth. Cafe Latte, thank you for the treat! Today's steps: 11,730. Calories burned: 385 kcal.

Less than 10 minutes from Saiin Station. A gelateria that makes you feel like you're in Italy. The prices are on the higher side as they use authentic Italian ingredients, but the portions are generous, so it's worth considering. The additional charge for premium flavors is modest at 50 yen. I tried pistachio, peach, and mascarpone & baked fig flavors. The peach flavor was more like peach milk than actual peach, but still enjoyable. The baked fig added a nice accent when eaten together with the other flavors. The pistachio flavor met expectations.

On Friday at 6:00 PM, I visited "Cafe Latte" in Nishijin. I ordered a double scoop (2 flavors) for 680 yen, with "peach" (+50 yen) and "yogurt & raspberry sauce". I enjoyed them in the eat-in space inside the cafe. The "peach" flavor was delicious! It tasted just like a real peach, not artificial at all. It was worth the extra 50 yen compared to the regular menu. The "yogurt & raspberry sauce" flavor was also great, with a refreshing yogurt taste and a hint of raspberry sauce. The gelato had a smooth texture with a rich milky taste. It's no wonder this place was chosen as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. It was a delightful experience. Thank you for the meal.

The Italian owner, who has walked the path of a gelato artisan, makes "fluffy fresh gelato" without using preservatives or artificial colors. Even though I don't usually eat gelato much, I became captivated by the gelato here. On my first visit, I was looking forward to trying the peach flavor, but it was sold out. So I had a double scoop of salted caramel & walnut, and mascarpone & fig. The next day, I went back for the peach flavor and it was incredibly delicious. It felt like I was eating a real peach. On the same day, I had a triple scoop of peach, yogurt & raspberry sauce, and rum raisin. It was amazingly delicious, especially the yogurt & raspberry sauce. I will definitely go back to try more flavors! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Visited this gelato shop that has been recognized as one of the top 100 gelato shops. The shop was opened by an Italian gelato artisan. The owner seemed to be Italian and spoke Japanese fluently, giving a friendly impression. The lady, who I assume is his wife, provided polite service. I ordered a double scoop of "Mascarpone & Amarena Cherry" and "Raspberry White Chocolate" for 680 yen. You can choose between a cup or a cone for eating in, and I chose a cone. However, looking at the other customers in the shop, most were eating from cups, which looked more stylish with the presentation and plates. I regret not choosing a cup. The gelato itself was rich and had a high viscosity, making it a truly indulgent and delicious treat. There are many other flavors that caught my interest, so I plan to revisit for a cup or affogato next time. The presence of a Vespa parked outside the shop and the availability of alcohol definitely added to the Italian vibe.

This day was the Friday before a three-day weekend. I took the day off and went to the lively city of Kyoto for the Gion Festival's Yoiyoiyama. For lunch, I had the amazing Omi beef sirloin steak and hamburger, and then walked to Katsura Station under the scorching sun. Since I had some time before checking into the hotel, I decided to go for dessert. I took the Hankyu line, got off at Saiin Station, and walked for less than 10 minutes to caffellatte, a cafe that serves homemade Italian gelato. I had seen a friend post about it on Instagram and it looked delicious, so I had been wanting to try it. I entered the shop and looked at the display case. I ordered a double scoop in a cup, with pistachio for an additional ¥50 and peach sorbet for an additional ¥50. They quickly scooped it into a glass cup and brought it to my table. I started with the peach sorbet... Wow! It was surprisingly sweet! But then the flavor and aroma melted in my mouth, leaving a refreshing aftertaste. I felt like shouting "wow!" The pistachio was the same. It had a rich and sweet flavor, but it melted smoothly in my mouth, with a fleeting aftertaste. I definitely want to come back and try different flavors in different seasons. It was really delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I visited a top 100 ice cream and gelato shop located between Saiin Station and Yamanochi Station. I arrived around 4 pm on a holiday, and while there were empty seats, the gelato selection was limited. I wonder if many people came earlier? I'm glad I came to this shop! I ordered a Gelato Double for 680 yen, with Premium Chocolate and Matcha Sorbet & White Chocolate. You can choose between a cone or cup, and if you choose a cup, they serve it in a large glass. It was very filling and satisfying! The chocolate was smooth and creamy with a rich flavor. It was quite sweet, so it seemed like it would go well with coffee. The matcha sorbet and white chocolate were delicious, with a rich matcha flavor and sweetness. While the white chocolate flavor wasn't very strong, the matcha flavor and sweetness stood out. This gelato is sweet and filling. It provides a sense of satisfaction when craving something sweet. The staff were also friendly, and I was happy that they kindly assisted me when I was indecisive. It became a memorable and enjoyable part of my trip! (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*.

Today's visit was to a gelato shop in Kyoto, which has been newly selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog. I arrived at 3:30 PM on a Sunday and since the eat-in area was full, I opted for a take-out of a double scoop of "Mascarpone & Amarena Cherry" and "Rum Raisin". The Mascarpone & Amarena Cherry gelato had a rich mascarpone flavor combined with the tartness of Amarena cherries, creating a sweet and intense taste. The Rum Raisin flavor had plenty of large raisins in it. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited to try the seasonal limited peach. In addition to the single scoop price of 420 yen, there was an additional charge of 50 yen. As soon as I took a bite, I could feel the peach flavor, making it the number one gelato experience. I would love to go back again.

Located about a 7-minute walk from Hankyu Nishinomiya Station, this shop is known for serving authentic gelato. I had been curious about it for a while and finally had the chance to visit. The gelato is made by Italian gelato artisan Eddi. I ordered a single scoop for 420 yen and added Pistacchio for an extra 50 yen. It was a hot day, so I enjoyed it inside the shop. The cup had more gelato than I expected. The Pistacchio flavor uses 100% DOP pistachios from Bronte, Sicily, giving it a rich yet easy-to-eat and delicious taste. They also have gelato flavors that incorporate Kyoto's tea, which I would like to try if I have the chance.

Order: Single Pistachio (420 yen). Congratulations on being selected as one of the top 100 shops. I visited as soon as the top 100 shops were announced because it's close to my home. The classic ice cream. The hospitality of the owner was excellent, so I was able to use it comfortably.

I was hoping to get peach gelato, but unfortunately it was sold out. Instead, I tried the seasonal melon flavor. It was refreshing and perfect for hot days. This shop is known for their rich gelato made with milk, so I will definitely visit again.

I took the Keihan Gara line to Kyoto. It's amazing that this train is free! I transferred at Katsura and headed to a new town, Nishiiin. It seems like a comfortable place to live. The interior of the shop is dark like in the homeland (laughs). But unlike the homeland, the interior is very clean. After much deliberation, I ordered salted caramel & walnut and matcha sorbet & white chocolate. It was surprisingly smooth, with just the right amount of sweetness and very delicious. I would like to visit regularly. Thank you for the meal!! Next time, I would like to try fruit and nut flavors too!

I walked for about an hour from Kawaramachi to satisfy my hunger. When I arrived, there were already two groups of customers. I quickly placed my order: a triple serving with yogurt vanilla, mango, and mascarpone cherry, and my companion ordered a single serving of matcha white chocolate. The total came to 1100 yen, and they served it in a glass dish. The portions were quite generous. Although they were a bit on the sweet side, everything was delicious. Personally, I thought the mascarpone cherry was the best! It had a nice cherry flavor. I might not come here often, but I would definitely like to visit again! After us, more and more customers started to arrive.

I have been using this place occasionally for over 10 years. Most of the time, I get takeout instead of dining in. Initially, I purchased a special foam box and bought a pack of three. I used to enjoy tiramisu and rich chocolates, but lately, I've been opting for fruit-based options that vary by season. This time, I had a fruit double and iced tea (lemon) in the store. I ordered the strawberry gelato and lychee & raspberry gelato. The strawberry gelato tasted like crushed strawberries mixed with milk and sugar, using strawberries with a moderate level of acidity. The lychee and raspberry gelato had a strong fruit flavor, with the raspberry's characteristic tartness coming through. I usually take my gelato home and store it in the freezer to enjoy over the next few days, but this time, having it fresh in the store made a big difference. The flavors were vibrant and delicious. While there is some acidity, it's best when the gelato is fresh. The store is located about a 5-6 minute walk from Hankyu Nishinomiya Station, with no major tourist spots nearby. However, many people come by car or bicycle to get takeout from this place. The menu changes daily and seasonally, making it a place worth revisiting. Fruit-based options may be divisive among those around you, so it might be safer to choose dairy-based options for gifts. The total bill for two gelato cups (680 yen) plus an extra 50 yen for the strawberry and a lemon iced tea for 440 yen came to 1170 yen.

From my second visit since reopening after winter break, I tried the Mascarpone & Amarena Cherry gelato for the first time. I had never encountered this flavor in ice cream before, so it was a new experience for me. With just one bite, my mouth was filled with the rich taste of cherry. It was a very intense cherry flavor that I got to savor. It felt very spring-like. The price was ¥420 for one flavor.

After having Italian food on Nijo Street, I went to the area around Saiin in search of gelato. It's a shop run by an Italian gelato artisan. When I entered around lunchtime, there were a few customers already inside. The owner was chatting with customers in English, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The display case was filled with delicious flavors, making it hard to choose between a single or double scoop. 《What I ordered》 〇Double... 700 yen (Pistachio +50 yen) *I love pistachio and couldn't pass it up. They use pistachios from Bronte, the famous pistachio-producing region. *I debated between mascarpone & amarena cherry and salted caramel, but went with this one. The double scoop was generously piled into the cup. I sat at a tall table near the entrance, enjoying the view outside while savoring the gelato. The subtly served lemon water was refreshing with each sip. The rich flavor of pistachio and the creamy mascarpone & amarena cherry were delightful. The mascarpone was a bit sweet for my taste, but it had a deep and delicious flavor that I finished. The generous portion left me quite satisfied. It was a gelateria where I felt comfortable throughout, and I would definitely stop by again on a whim. Thank you for the meal.

Passion White Passion Fruit gelato is sweet and sour with a rich flavor, and the addition of creaminess in a marble pattern makes it exquisite ♡ The nameless mascarpone-based gelato with walnuts and dates is rich and irresistible for those who love whipped cream!

Ever since I was deeply impressed when I tried Cafe Latte's gelato for the first time, I have been wanting to try it again. Their salted caramel and pistachio flavors are more delicious than any other gelato I've had. They are not just sweet, but incredibly rich and tasty! Especially the pistachio flavor, which I think is the best I've ever had. However, when I realized that a double scoop costs 650 yen and the pistachio flavor is an additional 50 yen, making it a total of 700 yen, I thought it might be a bit pricey compared to other places where you can get a double scoop for around 500 yen.

Visited the shop around 2 pm on a holiday. There was only one group of customers before us, so it was not crowded. The interior of the shop was a bit dark, which gave it a somewhat dull atmosphere. After having curry at "Spice Curry Kiteretsu" and "Taiyo Curry," we decided to give our taste buds a break with some gelato (lol). [Parking Information] Not available. Total bill was 1390 yen. *Payment with PayPay is accepted. - Triple (950 yen): ★★★★☆ Tasted like eating a real peach, very satisfying! The additional 50 yen was worth it. - Lemon: ★★★☆ Refreshing lemon flavor, perfect for hot weather. However, it was a bit too sweet for my liking, which was a bit disappointing. - Rum Raisin: ★★★★ Tasted like sherry wine? The rich vanilla flavor was also great. Espresso Doppio (440 yen): ★★★☆ In Italy, it's called "Doppio" instead of double. The rich espresso extracted from a genuine Brazilian espresso machine was delicious! [Overall Impression] This is an authentic gelato shop run by an Italian owner. However, the dim lighting inside made it a bit hard to enjoy the gelato experience fully. I wonder if it's just me feeling this way. The atmosphere was a bit disappointing.

Cafe Latte in Nishijin, a bit far from Kawaramachi, was recommended to me by a friend as the best cafe she had ever been to. I finally went there and tried their Salted Caramel for ¥400. I ordered a single scoop, but they gave me about 1.5 times the usual amount, it was piled high! The Salted Caramel was absolutely amazing, with just the right balance of saltiness and sweetness. I was so impressed, I've never been so moved by ice cream before! I also couldn't resist ordering the Pistachio for ¥450, which was equally delicious. It was so rich and flavorful, the best Pistachio ice cream I've ever had! The cafe is run by a lovely couple, with the husband being Italian. They were both very friendly, and despite the distance from Nishijin, I definitely want to go back. They mentioned that their menu changes daily, so be sure to check their website for the flavors before you go!
