I visited for the first time. There are counter seats and table seats, and it seemed like there were mostly regular customers at the counter. The menu offers courses of 6 or 9 types of grilled chicken with additional side dishes. I ordered the recommended 9 types of grilled chicken course. The chicken breast was very tender and fluffy, which was a pleasant surprise. I don't usually order chicken breast, but I would like to try different types in the future. The meatball had a chunky texture and was delicious. The potato salad was smooth and had a nice mouthfeel. Everything was delicious. Some of the grilled chicken had a strong flavor of salt or sauce, but it went well with alcohol. I would like to visit again and try the side dishes as well. Thank you for the meal. Lastly, there was chicken soup, but I forgot to take a picture of it.

When I visited Fukuoka, I really wanted to eat yakitori, so I searched and found this yakitori restaurant. The quality was so good that it was difficult to make a reservation, and the grilling was just right! Everything was delicious. What's more, having a sommelier there was amazing! The wines that paired well with the yakitori were all so good. On the way back, they also recommended other great bars in the area, so I had a great time. When I go to Fukuoka again, this is definitely a place I will visit!

The restaurant opens at 5:00 p.m., so I waited outside until then. I added one more dish: chicken breast tataki with ponzu sauce, which was good because it wasn't too tangy. The beef tripe stew was rich in flavor and to my liking. The yakitori course included 9 skewers, with the chicken breast being slightly overcooked. The gizzards were average, while the quail was cooked perfectly between hard and rare. The negima roll was tasty with the sauce, and I personally enjoyed the minced chicken and leek skewers. The chicken skin skewers were eaten with leeks and had bones in them. I also added chicken wings, thigh, heart, liver, and gizzard. I was full after the meal, and while the quantity was satisfying, the taste lacked a special touch.

Yakitori Yoshikawa, a restaurant within walking distance from Subway Watanabe-dori Station, was very clean and had a luxurious and hygienic atmosphere. The Half Course (6 skewers) costs 3,250 yen. They asked about any dislikes in advance and offered to substitute any disliked items with something else. The sommelier also recommended wines that would complement the yakitori well. It's recommended to make a reservation as the restaurant was fully booked. Thank you for the delicious meal.

A stylish yakitori restaurant where you can enjoy a great pairing of wine and grilled chicken skewers. They have a sommelier who will choose delicious wines for you. Their quail eggs and tsukune are unique dishes that you can only find here. The potato salad is so tasty that you'll finish it in no time. The minced chicken bowl might be a bit too salty.

I had a work meeting at the yakitori restaurant "Yakitori Yoshikawa". The interior is authentic and the prices are reasonable. The head chef is friendly and the place was always crowded. I'm glad I made a reservation. The skewers were delicious. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal! (^人^)

I finally went to "Yakitori Yoshikawa," a restaurant I had been wanting to visit for a while. We started with boiled spinach as an appetizer and cheers with beer. Since it was my first time, I opted for the chef's choice course. The skewers in the course were all delicious, and the drinks kept flowing, allowing us to have a great time. I also recommend the potato salad, which was a perfect dish to enjoy in between skewers. Lastly, we finished with soup. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

✔️Yakitori Course/9 skewers (¥3650) + appetizer/9 skewers/potato salad/soup. I visited this highly recommended restaurant for gourmet lovers after making a reservation about a week ago. It was my first time, so I ordered the Yakitori course with 9 skewers. They also recommended trying the minced chicken bowl as a finale, but I had to sadly pass this time as I was already full. They also offer a half course with 6 skewers, so I plan to try that next time and have a rematch with the minced chicken bowl. The yakitori was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The prices are reasonable and highly recommended! This popular spot requires reservations.

For those who like lightly salted, dry grilled chicken, this restaurant's exterior has a luxurious and lovely feel. It is located near Yakuin Station amidst many affordable dining options, so being taken here gives a slightly upscale vibe. The staff were all women on this day, giving off a fresh impression. The grilling was done by a man. I made a reservation by phone again this time and was seated at a table. (Second visit) The grilled chicken at the table was not piping hot and was slightly cold and tough, so if you come here, I recommend sitting at the counter. You cannot choose between sauce or salt grilled chicken. The sauce was not too sweet, more like Kanto-style? The meat was not juicy, which was disappointing.

I visited on a Saturday night. I had the yakitori course for 3500 yen and added drinks, spending a total of about 7000 yen. The yakitori was really delicious! The texture was amazing! I enjoyed items like potato salad, chicken breast, quail, negima, gizzard, skin, liver, tsukune, chicken wings, and soboro rice. Everything was so satisfying. I had 3 highballs, sake, and white wine, totaling 5 drinks which knocked me out (lol). They have a wide variety of sake options, and I drank too much. I will definitely visit again.

◆Fukuoka Umai Mon Meguri The ingredients are great, and the young owner, with extensive experience in grilling, has exceptional grilling skills. The cost performance is unbelievable. It's already difficult to make a reservation, and it's bound to become even more challenging in the future. I was recommended by the president of a leading company in Fukuoka and a gourmet, and I was extremely satisfied! ▪︎ Yakitori Yoshikawa (Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka) Yakitori Course: 3000 yen Large Soboro Donburi: 600 yen Potato Salad: included in the course Various wines available ◾︎ Food Beast Maro http://instagram.com/maro.j.maro https://ameblo.jp/korinai-menmen/

This time we are at Yakitori Yoshikawa located at 2-3-27 Watanabe Building 1F, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. The exterior exudes a sense of luxury and a calm Japanese atmosphere. Upon entering the restaurant, there is an L-shaped counter and table seating. Inside the counter, there is a grilling area and a wooden display case for skewers. There is also a private room available, making it suitable for various occasions. Let's start with a toast with a draft beer! The menu includes a Yakitori course (appetizer, 9 skewers, potato salad, soup) for 3000 yen, and a half course (appetizer, 6 skewers, potato salad, soup) for 2500 yen. Individual skewers come in 12 varieties, each priced at 300 yen for orders of 2 or more. There may also be rare cuts available depending on the day. With a variety of dishes available, it seems like there is something for everyone to enjoy. I decided to order the Yakitori course. The order was: appetizer, chicken tenderloin, potato salad, liver, gizzard, quail, scallion and chicken, meatball, chicken skin, bonjiri (tail meat), chicken wing, and soup. The chicken tenderloin had a nice rare finish. The liver had minimal gaminess and was fresh. The standout items were the scallion and chicken skewer and the meatball. The scallion and chicken skewer was wrapped around the skewer and glazed with sauce, resulting in a juicy and flavorful combination. The meatball was made from ground meat and grilled to perfection, offering a hearty and meaty flavor. For dessert, I had a minced chicken rice bowl with pickles on the side. The bowl was topped with a quail egg yolk and plenty of minced chicken, with seaweed inside. The seasoning was not overpowering, allowing for a light and enjoyable meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Today, I visited Yosikawa recommended by an acquaintance for entertaining a business partner. We had a course meal in a private room, with each dish carefully prepared on skewers. We started with the Wasabi Chicken Breast skewer. The chef recommended trying the Chicken Liver skewer with Sansho pepper, and it was delicious as suggested. We then had Potato Salad, Gizzard, and Quail skewers. The Quail skewer was cooked to a perfect medium rare, giving it a unique and fragrant taste. We ended the meal with the recommended Minced Chicken Rice bowl. The chef has trained at a famous yakitori restaurant in Fukuoka and was young and energetic. I had a great experience and look forward to coming back. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Yoshikawa in Yakuin is a high-class yakitori restaurant with a beautiful exterior. The interior has a sushi restaurant-like atmosphere. I tried my favorite yakitori and chicken tataki, which were delicious with a perfect balance of saltiness and umami. I ordered a sweet sake among the mostly dry options available. Considering the atmosphere, excellent service, and taste, I think this restaurant offers great value for money. It is a great place for business meetings, dates, or as a second stop for the night. The cost was around 4,500 yen per person. Restaurant information: Name: Yakitori Yoshikawa, Hours: 17:00-23:00, Phone: 092-401-0782, Closed on Tuesdays, Private rooms not available, Location: 1F, Matador Building, 2-3-27 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka.

This time, I visited the restaurant with my colleagues for lunch. We made a reservation and arrived at the restaurant at noon. The restaurant was fully booked by 6 pm, so walk-in customers were being turned away. We ordered the 3000 yen yakitori course. The course included chicken skewers, gizzards, salad, quail eggs, green onions, thigh meat, chicken meatballs, liver, and chicken wings. We also ordered chicken sashimi and soup as extras. The chicken sashimi was tender and moist, cooked just right. All the yakitori dishes were flavorful and delicious. The charred parts of the skewers were cut off with scissors, showing the attention to detail by the chef.

This is a restaurant opened by a young owner who honed his skills at a Fukuoka City Chuo-ku Daimyo restaurant that follows the tradition of the long-established yakitori specialty store "Isehiro" in Tokyo. Therefore, there is no pork belly or pig feet like in Fukuoka-style yakitori restaurants (laughs). The chicken skewers, cooked carefully by each part, are served in a course style, paired with sommelier-selected wines and sake, offering a slightly luxurious adult-like yakitori experience. The restaurant is located about a 4-5 minute walk from Nishitetsu Yakuin Station and Subway Yakuin Station, and is also close to Subway Watanabe Station. It is located along a street lined with restaurants behind the electric building. The emergency declaration was lifted, and I had a meal at "Yakitori Yoshikawa" selected by a friend I hadn't seen in 11 years. The atmosphere is upscale, but thanks to the attentive and cheerful service of the owner and young staff, it doesn't feel intimidating. The interior has counter seats as well as table seats, and is spacious and suitable for the era of living with COVID-19. First, I enjoyed a delicious draft beer. The appetizer was boiled spinach. In the a la carte menu, chicken tataki seems to be a regular item, but on this day, they had sashimi, so I had a sashimi platter of chicken. It included chicken breast, gizzard, liver, and heart. It is eaten with soy sauce with quail eggs or sesame oil. They were all fresh and delicious. Normally, I just have one canned chu-hi at home, but on this day, it was a special dining out occasion, so I was in a celebratory mood! I had a variety of drinks including beer, sake, wine, and whiskey. I think these fresh chicken flavors and cooking are well suited for sake and wine. Senkei Junmai Daiginjo Genshu Bagged Hanging Tokkuri Surrounding Unfiltered Fresh Sake On this day, I had the yakitori course. It consists of appetizers, 9 skewers, salad, and soup. Rice dishes are not included, but if you want, they have a minced chicken rice bowl on the menu. In Fukuoka-style yakitori restaurants, the appetizer is cabbage with vinegar dressing, and the skewers are placed on top of the cabbage, but here, each skewer comes out on a plate. I sat at the counter in front of the grill, so I could see clearly, and they were very carefully cooked, with each skewer perfectly cooked to match the meat quality. The course starts with chicken breast. Lightly grilled with salt and topped with wasabi. Gizzard. Lightly grilled with a light sauce. I ordered a potato salad from the a la carte menu. It was a light salted potato salad, perfect for a palate cleanser. Sand liver. Grilled with salt. The course includes a salad. Quail egg. The yolk is a nice semi-soft texture. Wine is available by the bottle, but they also have a daily selection of white and red wines by the glass. Italian white wine by the glass. Negima. Thinly sliced chicken thigh wrapped with green onion, grilled with sauce. In between are shishito peppers and shiitake mushrooms. Italian red wine. Dango. A chewy texture without any fillers. This is probably heart. Grilled with sauce, it has a firm texture. Skin. Grilled with salt, crispy and juicy. Bonjiri. Juicy and delicious. Tebasaki. Easy-to-eat wings skewered open. Chicken soup. For those with room, they offer a minced chicken rice bowl as an additional order, which is perfect for finishing off the meal. Thank you for the meal.【Restaurant Name】Yakitori Yoshikawa【Address】1F Mato Tori Building, 2-3-27 Watanabe-dori, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture【Business Hours】17:00-23:00 *Please confirm【Closed】Tuesday *Please confirm*About a 4-5 minute walk from Nishitetsu/Subway Yakuin Station/Watanabe-dori Station. I visited this restaurant because a young chef from Mashiko, who was highly praised for his meticulous work, was working there. The result was excellent - not only was the food delicious, but the cleanliness of the restaurant, the atmosphere, and the staff's excellent service were all highly rated. In particular, during the order confirmation, when one staff member said "○○ has been added," the other staff members responded crisply with "Yes!" It was very pleasant to hear and showed that they were well-trained. We had the yakitori course, which included 9 assorted skewers, salad, and soup. We also added chicken tataki and duck ham skewers, and finished with soboro rice bowl. Everything was as delicious as the reviews said. The seasoning of the salt was especially to my liking. Each dish was so tasty! I was surprised. I have a personal image that yakitori is slow to come out, but here, the timing of each dish was perfect. I will save the detailed reviews of the dishes for my next visit. Because I definitely want to come back to this restaurant.

This is my first time posting a review, but I have been to this restaurant about 4-5 times. I have been to many yakitori restaurants, but considering the cost performance, I think Yoshikawa is the best. The chef trained at a famous restaurant in Mashiko. The wine and sake selection is good and they change seasonally. The staff, including the chef, are very friendly and provide excellent service. They offer half and full course options, and I always go for the full course with additional orders. The skewers with sauce are my favorite. They go well with the pepper and are quite addictive. They have a good selection of sake, so I recommend pairing it with your meal. The restaurant has counter seats and calm table seats, making it suitable for business dinners or casual outings with friends. It is a very convenient restaurant for various occasions. I highly recommend visiting when you are in Fukuoka.

Gourmet dinner with sophisticated friends. They selected a wonderful restaurant, Yoshikawa, run by someone from Mashiko. The restaurant had a traditional Japanese atmosphere. We reserved a course of 9 skewers. They recommended the chicken sashimi, which was surprisingly cold at first, but became deliciously tender after a while. The ponzu sauce was not too sour and complemented the dish well. Then came the 9 skewer course, which seemed like a lot, but we managed to finish it all. Our friends even ordered an additional minced chicken bowl and enjoyed it. The skewers were all delicious, with a gentle grilling technique. The chicken breast, liver, and quail were particularly moist and tasty. The negi roll was a new experience for me, made with thinly sliced chicken thigh wrapped in white leek. It was juicy and flavorful. The drink selection was varied, including wine, sake, and shochu. Our wine-loving friends chose a German Riesling that paired perfectly with the skewers. Each skewer was substantial, so if you're unsure about your stomach capacity, the half course might be a good option. We ended the meal with a soup, and it was a delightful gathering. Thank you for the feast!
