龍馬の子孫?
Visited on April 11, 2019 (Thursday) around 7:45 am. The restaurant is located about a 4-minute walk from the Keikyu Main Line "Aomono-yokocho" station, heading east on Ikegami Street. Across the road, there is the "Oniyanma Higashi Shinagawa Store" and a new standing soba shop near Yasio High School, so there are plenty of breakfast options nearby. There are two entrances, and only one ticket vending machine for ordering. There is also a counter for takeout on the right. The interior of the restaurant has a unique counter seating for about 16 people. At the time of my review, the restaurant had 8 reviews with an average rating of 3.01 points. There were 5 customers before me and 7 customers after me. The staff, possibly from a continental background, consisted of two individuals, a man and a woman. The touch panel ticket vending machine has become quite common now. They also accept electronic transportation cards. I selected the "Sausage and Egg Set with Premium Beef Side Dish for 400 yen (tax included)" from the menu. The breakfast sets at Matsuya are appealing because you can choose from various side dishes like premium beef, natto, cold tofu, etc. The sausage and egg set includes one egg and one sausage. The sausage is microwaved and then lightly grilled on a hot plate. The shredded cabbage on the side is a nice touch. The size of the seaweed has changed from Matsuya's unique large size to a more common size, which is a bit disappointing. The miso soup is now served from a dispenser, but they dissolve miso paste in hot water, making it much tastier than the powdered instant miso soup from Yoshinoya. The pickles are a special size for the breakfast set, as Matsuya's regular meals do not come with pickles. If you order them separately, you get a larger portion. The breakfast was satisfying and consistent in taste for 400 yen including tax. The total bill for that day was 400 yen. Thank you for the meal.
Visited on April 1, 2019 (Monday) around 7:30 am. On this day, I ordered the "Grilled Fish Set with Premium Beef Side Dish for 450 yen (tax included)." Matsuya's grilled fish is salmon, which used to be microwaved, then placed on a hot plate for a light grill before serving. However, there was a notice stating that the cooking method had changed since the beginning of the year. To confirm the changes, I ordered the dish. The change turned out to be that the fish is now served directly after being warmed in the microwave, without being placed on the hot plate. It seemed like they reverted back to the previous cooking method. The set includes a piece of salmon, but unlike the Sausage and Egg Set, it lacks fresh vegetables, which is a bit disappointing. Of course, compared to Yoshinoya's grilled fish set, Matsuya offers better value for money, even though Yoshinoya's set has fewer items. The total bill for that day was 450 yen. Thank you for the meal.
