I strolled around Heiwajima Station for lunch today. I exited the ticket gate of Keikyu Line Heiwajima Station, turned left towards the east exit, and walked towards Daiichi Keihin in front of me. Before the traffic light on Daiichi Keihin, I turned left towards Omori, walked for a while, crossed the signal at the T-junction of Heiwajima-guchi, crossed the signal on the back (towards Omori), continued straight towards Heiwajima Boat Racecourse, turned left at the first signal of Heiwajima Ichome, walked a little towards BIGFUN Heiwajima direction, crossed the pedestrian crossing towards DON QUIJOTE BIGFUN Heiwajima, turned left, and found BIGFUN Heiwajima on the right after a short walk. I went up the stairs, entered BIGFUN Heiwajima, and visited "Kitchen Roma," a Western food and pasta restaurant located in the center of the first-floor food court (3 stores). At 12:25 on Saturday, there were mainly male customers and families in the food court. There was a ticket machine on the left side of the store, where I checked the menu. The menu included various dishes such as beef curry, beef stroganoff spaghetti, thick pork loin set meal, ginger pork set meal, cheese-in tonkatsu set meal, golden sirloin steak set meal, daily lunch special, and more. I decided to try the spaghetti Napolitan, which was the top item on the menu, and ordered it from the ticket machine. I received a buzzer and waited for my order. After about 5 minutes, the spaghetti Napolitan was served with salad and soup. The spaghetti was cooked al dente and had a good mix of sweetness, acidity, and richness from the ketchup. The onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and sausage in the dish provided a variety of textures and flavors. It reminded me of the nostalgic taste of Napolitan I had in a cafe long ago. I enjoyed the meal and finished it with the salad and soup. It was a satisfying experience, and I was glad to have tried the classic Napolitan dish at Kitchen Roma.

On December 28, 2020 (Monday), I visited the restaurant "Roma" located in the food court of the commercial facility "BIGFUN" adjacent to the Heiwajima Boat Racecourse. I ordered the Napolitan pasta (700 yen) which came with salad and soup. The salad that came as a side with the lunch set was surprisingly tasty. The soup had a unique flavor that was hard to describe. As for the Napolitan pasta, the noodles were a bit firm but overall it was good. There were also condiments like powdered cheese and Tabasco sauce available at the counter for flavor enhancement. The dish had a decent portion size with chunks of sausage providing a satisfying texture. While the Napolitan pasta was enjoyable, I felt that it was more of a quick and convenient meal for those visiting "BIGFUN" or the boat racecourse. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I came to Heiwajima Boat Race for a work meeting! It's lunchtime, so I decided to grab some food. I found a small food court near Don Quijote, with a soba/udon shop, a Western and pasta shop, and a ramen shop lined up. I went to the Western and pasta shop, Kitchen ROMA, and ordered the Kirishima pork ginger grilled dish for ¥750 at the ticket machine next to the shop. I received a plastic number card with 74 on it and waited at my seat. There were many staff wearing boat race jackets in the food court. After waiting for about 7 minutes, my number was called. The dish had crunchy onions, flavorful Kirishima pork, shredded cabbage, macaroni salad, and pickles. It exceeded my expectations and was delicious. Feeling satisfied, I took the free shuttle bus back to Omori Station.

A food court stall in Heiwajima that is a favorite among fans. Although it may not stand out on the menu, the Napolitan here has a fantastic flavor. The refreshing sweetness and acidity of the tomato ketchup blend well with the chewy noodles, creating an incredibly delicious taste. It is a traditional style Napolitan. Children are also very satisfied. The large portion is a great deal. Thank you.

■ Atmosphere and Ambiance Located about a 10-minute walk from Oimori Kaigan Station on the Keikyu Line, right next to Heiwajima Boat Race Stadium, this Western-style restaurant recently opened on the 1st floor food court of Big Fun Heiwajima, where there is a Don Quijote and a movie theater. It seems like it may have moved from the 3rd floor restaurant floor of the same building where the Italian restaurant ROMA was originally located. You purchase a food ticket and it is self-service. ■ Cuisine and Taste The main menu consists of several options such as tonkatsu, stamina bowl, curry, spaghetti, and hamburger. The salad that comes with the meal is quite small. The curry was smooth and delicious. ■ Ordered Menu - Pork Curry (600 yen)

On the first floor, there is a Don Quijote, on the second floor there is Heiwajima Onsen, and on the fourth floor there is a bowling alley and a movie theater at BIG FUN. I was at the food court on the first floor, and it seemed like there was construction going on to the left. The ramen shop in the back right was the busiest. The sign says "Western food and pasta restaurant Kitchen Roma," but there is also a sign that says "A hearty restaurant." Looking at the menu on the wall, it seemed like they were more focused on curry than pasta. I hadn't eaten pasta or curry, so I can't comment on it. I was a little hungry, so I ordered some fried chicken (200g) and Asahi Super Dry canned beer. I also ordered the stewed beef tendon from the 300 yen appetizer menu. The stewed beef tendon came with plenty of root vegetables like burdock, daikon, carrot, and konjac. It reminded me of gambling food, especially with the nearby Heiwajima boat race track. The quality was quite good, and I appreciated that they didn't try to make it too fancy with things like demi-glace or red wine. Overall, I thought the stewed beef tendon for 300 yen was worth it. Surprisingly, the restaurant is operated by a subsidiary of Keikyu Development, a company under Keikyu Corporation. Maybe the lady working there is also an employee of the company. It's like a little pocket of a big organization suddenly appearing. The "Keikyu Yatai" under the escalator leading up from the onsen may also be operated by the same company. It seems like the TV personality Shingo Katori, who openly admits to liking gambling, has been to that food stall. Maybe Heiwajima is becoming a new hotspot.
