A little from Shimokitazawa Station. A cute red checkered tablecloth and red tent catch your eye. With a large sign that says "Spaghetti," it looks like an Italian dining restaurant, right? I peeked inside and saw the name "Pancotto Maté." I didn't know there were so many branches of this restaurant. I remember trying their spaghetti in Jiyugaoka a long time ago and being impressed by the chewy thick noodles. I always thought it was a cute place and wanted to try it. I didn't realize there were so many branches. There are many pictures of spaghetti outside, making it easy to understand what they serve. The entrance is at the back of the terrace, so you can check out the place without being seen by the staff. The interior is warm with a wood theme, and there are many counter and table seats. It's more spacious than I thought. During lunchtime, there are no discounts, but you can choose two items in addition to pasta. You can also choose from a variety of drinks, salads, bread, garlic toast, large portions, or dessert. It's quite fun, and I noticed that many men opt for the large portions. I chose the salad and dessert. It's nice that they serve lunch until late. The menu is divided into "Italian-based" and "Japanese-based." I ordered the eggplant bacon with tomato sauce, but there was a slight misunderstanding with the staff about the dish. The sauce was a bit confusing, but I like both tomato and meat sauce, so it was okay. The dish had a lot of vegetables, which I don't like, so I was a bit disappointed. The noodles were thick and chewy, which I like. I wanted some water, but I couldn't call the staff because I'm not good at raising my voice. The place was not crowded, so I think the staff might have been new. The dessert and salad were a nice touch, but considering the service quality, I had some doubts about the price. The timing of the dessert was good, and it was delicious.
