This is a branch of the yakitori restaurant "Doromamire," which is one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants in Japan. A friend made a reservation for me, so I was looking forward to visiting. Location: About a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station. I may have taken the wrong exit, but it seems like it's only a 3-4 minute walk from exits C5 or C6 (EV). Interior: The view from the street shows just the kitchen and a small counter. I was a bit nervous about entering, but once inside, there was a spacious area beyond another door. The grilling area is separated, so there is no smoke or smell transferring to clothes. The calm atmosphere seems perfect for a date or a casual business meeting. Order: Appetizer: Tori Shirayu Soup Yakitori (Negima, Shirale, Harami, Tsukune) Cheese Miso Pickles Special Carrot Salad Kujou Negi Salad Shumai Grilled Daikon with Soy Sauce Golden Peach Sherbet Impressions: The yakitori was delicious! The Negima with Kujou Negi might be the best I've ever had. The skin was crispy, and the inside was juicy. The balance with the green onion was perfect! My personal favorites were the "Carrot Salad" and "Golden Peach Sherbet." The Carrot Salad, mixed with mentaiko, was addictive. I want to try making it at home! The Golden Peach Sherbet was full of peach flavor, as if the peach was frozen as is. They also have a variety of drinks like shochu, sake, whiskey, and sours. The salted tomato sour made with homemade tomato puree was also really delicious. I had a great time enjoying delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere, and I was very satisfied! It's a bit pricey, but I would love to visit again!

In Yotsuya, there is a slightly upscale izakaya restaurant that is part of the Doromameire series, specializing in yakitori. When you pass by the kitchen, there is a floor with tables, each separated for a private and calming atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of drinks. Starting with the chicken white soup tofu appetizer, the carefully grilled skewers and fresh vegetable dishes unique to Doromameire are delicious with the drinks. I came here for the second party. The popular restaurant was fully booked in the back, so I sat at the counter and had a highball with some snacks. Boiled peanuts, green onions from Shimotsuma, and carrot salad. The mentaiko in the salad was delicious. The presentation was also nice. Thank you for the meal!

I made a reservation after seeing it on TV and visited the restaurant. The white liver skewers were delicious. They had no smell and were easy to eat. The chicken broth appetizer was delicious, I wished they would use it to make ramen. The pork and Kujo green onion with ponzu sauce was spicy because of the green onions.

A high-quality yakitori restaurant located near Shinjuku Gyoen that opened last year. This is a sister store of "Doromamire," a top 100 restaurant on Tabelog in Yotsuya. It is about a 3-4 minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station, and the interior is a beautiful and spacious space with a calm Japanese atmosphere. The skewer menu can be ordered a la carte or in sets of 3 (2 chicken, 1 beef), 5 (3 chicken, 2 beef), or 7 (5 chicken, 2 beef). They use Hichinai Jidori chicken and Aichi Kogen beef. This time, I ordered the 7-piece set, which included Hichinai Jidori chicken breast, thigh, Aichi Kogen beef kalbi, white liver, skin, Aichi Kogen beef outside skirt, and tsukune. I also ordered the grilled leek and shirasu with plum, corn tempura, burrata cheese with white peach and fig, and white peach sherbet. Personally, all the chicken was delicious, so I think next time I might just order all chicken a la carte. The corn tempura and burrata cheese with white peach and fig were delicious. There are many other menu items I want to try next time. The Flamingo Orange cocktail was very fruity and easy to drink, with a subtle alcohol kick. Thank you for the meal!

The interior was very clean and the food was delicious. I was surprised by how delicious the salted lemon tomato cup was here. I want to drink many more cups because it was incredibly delicious. I really want to know what they are doing to make it so delicious. I hope they sell it because it was so delicious. I also liked the other dishes, like the grilled chicken dumplings. I wanted to eat about 10 more of them. I've been hooked on shumai recently and I eat it wherever I go, but it was delicious after a long time, about six months. The taste was rich, juicy, and incredibly delicious!

I revisited this restaurant because my last experience was really good. It was crowded today, as expected for a delicious and atmospheric restaurant. I went there on an empty stomach, looking forward to the meal. First, I toasted with my favorite genmaicha highball. The appetizer was the same as last time, a gentle and delicious dish. I ordered the Doroyama salad again, which is my favorite. The greens were fresh and tasty, with a dressing that enhanced the flavor without overpowering it. Next, I ordered a set of three yakitori skewers, which were delicious with high-quality ingredients and perfectly grilled. I enjoyed a Hi-ball with Hibiki whiskey, although I felt like the previous one was slightly better. The shumai dumplings were juicy and flavorful, a signature dish of the restaurant. The tomato and mozzarella salad was like a fruit, with sweet tomatoes and high-quality mozzarella. The marinated flavors did not overpower the ingredients, making it really delicious. I had a plum sour cocktail, which was made with good quality plum, unlike typical izakaya drinks. The seasonal corn tempura was crispy, sweet, and delicious. The young corn was grilled perfectly, bringing out the best of the ingredients. I also ordered the salted menchi katsu, which was light, juicy, and delicious. I ended the meal with a lemon sour, which was also different from the usual izakaya drink and very tasty. Lastly, I had the celery soba, which was a perfect ending to the meal with its refreshing taste and delicious broth. Overall, everything I ate was delicious, made with high-quality ingredients, and I felt good about having a healthy meal. The staff was polite, and the restaurant was clean. I left the restaurant fully satisfied once again. I highly recommend this restaurant, but I have a feeling it might become harder to get a reservation in the future due to its increasing popularity. I will definitely visit again.

This new branch, "Doroyama," focuses on vegetables and mountain vegetables. It is a more upscale concept compared to the previous Doromamire restaurants. The yakitori set includes 5 skewers, with an order of Kujo negi (Japanese leek) and grilled dumplings. The set costs around 2000 yen, reflecting its higher price range. The yakitori is served alternately with 3 skewers of Hichinai chicken and 2 of beef, providing a variety of cuts. I have visited this place 4-5 times (counter right after entering, counter inside, 4-person table inside). The location is a straight 3-4 minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoen. There are a few counter seats near the entrance, and inside, the seating is spacious and relaxing. It's perfect for 2-3 people to enjoy comfortably. Similar to Doromamire in Yotsuya-Sanchome, the gyoza and yakitori are carefully made and very delicious. Since it's a new restaurant, it hasn't received high scores yet, but it's definitely a place with the potential for high ratings. It would be even better if they had craft beer options.

The entrance gives the impression of a small shop with a counter and four tables, but as you go further inside, you'll find a stylish and beautifully decorated interior with a playful touch. The interior design seems to have had the most investment in the Doromamire group. The menu offers a stable and reliable taste typical of the Doromamire group. Instead of the usual gyoza, they serve a chicken soup with homemade tofu. The "7-piece chef's choice skewers" include a combination of beef and chicken. Even after 10 pm, you can enjoy high-quality skewers. The skewers include chicken (thigh meat, liver, gizzard, wings, and meatballs) and beef (belly and frank). The carrot salad is served in a carrot shape and mixed with spicy cod roe, which is quite interesting. The "Yodare chicken" is made with bone-in thigh meat that falls off the bone. They also offer duck hot pot, although we didn't try it this time. The drink selection is also impressive, with a variety of options including sake. This is a new branch of the popular yakitori restaurant Doromamire located in Yotsuya-Sanchome. I had been looking forward to visiting this new establishment in the Shinjuku area, as they have changed their menu to focus on their signature Doromamire dishes. Upon entering, I was impressed by the spacious and stylish interior, with a cozy atmosphere and beautifully decorated counter seats adorned with bonsai and fresh flowers. As it was my first visit, I decided to try their famous carrot-shaped salad, a skewer platter featuring Hinai-jidori chicken and Aichi beef, as well as some ala carte items like liver and salted minced meat. The skewers were all perfectly cooked and juicy, showcasing the high quality of the ingredients. The carrot salad was fresh and sweet, with a delicious mentaiko dressing. I also enjoyed the juicy salted minced meat and the elaborate appetizer. The staff, including the manager, were friendly and provided excellent service throughout the meal. However, I found the prices to be slightly higher compared to other Doromamire locations, which gave the overall experience a slightly expensive feel. Despite this, the upscale and stylish ambiance makes it a great choice for a date or a second stop for drinks and snacks. I hope to see more unique signature dishes added to the menu in the future to further distinguish this branch from the others in the Doromamire chain.
