Located on the east side of Kaburi Fishing Port in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, along the Karatsu Highway of Route 202, this seafood and robatayaki restaurant is run by owner Kenji Tsukamoto, whose father founded a seafood wholesale business in the Itoshima and Karatsu area about 50 years ago. The restaurant opened in 2010 and is known for its popular seafood bowls filled with fresh fish sourced from Fukuoka's Nagahama Fish Market, selected with a keen eye developed through their main business. It has become a popular spot for tourists visiting Itoshima, a weekend resort area in Fukuoka. My friend recently got his driver's license, so we decided to take a drive around the Itoshima Peninsula and ended our trip with dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant is like a model house located along the national highway, with parking space for about 10 cars at the back. There is also a covered waiting area for customers in line at the entrance. Luckily, we arrived right at the opening time of 5:30 PM on a weekday evening, so we were able to get in without waiting in line behind a young couple. The first floor of the restaurant has counter seats and traditional sunken kotatsu-style seating, with a modern Japanese ambiance. The second floor seems to be for group reservations. We were guided to our seating area by a friendly staff member and ordered the "Special Seafood Bowl and Tempura Set" for me and the "Itoshima Local Fish Tempura and Sashimi Set" for my friend, both priced at 2000 yen each (excluding tax). We enjoyed some appetizers like "Tofu Noodles" and a "Prosciutto Salad" before our main dishes arrived. My seafood bowl was generously topped with various fresh fish and served with a special sesame sauce, while my friend's tempura and sashimi set featured local fish and a flavorful soy-based sauce. Everything was delicious, from the freshly sliced sashimi to the crispy tempura. Overall, we had a satisfying dinner at this popular restaurant and I look forward to trying their robatayaki dishes next time.

When I arrived at 11:30, there was a line of over 20 groups in front of me... I waited for about 40 minutes, but surprisingly, I was able to get in smoothly! I really wanted to eat the special seafood bowl with chawanmushi for 2300 yen! It had a generous portion with plenty of salmon roe and sashimi, and both the chawanmushi and sashimi were delicious! It may not be as Instagrammable as Itoshima Shokudo, but the staff were friendly, the food came out quickly after ordering, and there are also relaxing sunken kotatsu tables, so I highly recommend it for lunch in Itoshima. ◎

On Sunday afternoon, there were about 20 people waiting, but I was able to enter the restaurant in about 30 minutes. They have a wide variety of seafood bowl options and the restaurant is clean. I wanted to try the tuna cheek bowl, but it was sold out, so I had the marinated bowl lunch instead. The prices were reasonable and the taste was satisfying. The fried chicken was also crispy and delicious.

The moment the seafood bowl arrived, it was a breathtaking sight. Due to a raw shrimp allergy, I ordered the Ultimate Seafood Bowl and simmered fish set for ¥2,900. It had sea urchin, salmon roe, fatty tuna, and salmon - all my favorites. My son was enjoying the fried chicken. My husband was disappointed that the limited quantity tuna cheek bowl was sold out. I decided to aim for the next opening time. The salmon roe and flying fish roe in my mouth were forever popping. Despite the long line, it was worth the wait for this popular and delicious meal. #Tsukamoto Fish Store #Ultimate Seafood Bowl #Limited Quantity Bowl #Itoshima Lunch #Itoshima Seafood Bowl

Since we were in Hakata, we decided not to have breakfast at the hotel and went out in search of a morning meal. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any open restaurants near the hotel, so we ended up driving non-stop to Karatsu Castle. After exploring the castle, we tried to find a place to eat near the castle that served squid from Yobuko, but it was fully booked. We then headed towards Itoshima and finally found a restaurant after some searching. The parking lot was spacious and we were able to park easily. There was a bit of a wait, but after about 30 minutes, we were seated. We ordered two premium seafood bowls, one with sea bream sashimi as recommended by reviews. The squid from Yobuko was fresh and delicious, with a nice texture. The seafood bowls here were the best I have ever had, with a variety of fresh and tasty seafood. I was lucky to have found this place and I would definitely bring my friends here in the future.

Unfortunately, the maguro hoho-don was sold out, but the superb seafood bowl with additional simmered fish was delicious. The simmered fish was especially tasty. It was my first time trying the eel bowl from Kyushu, and it was different from the soft texture in Kanto, a bit firmer, but still delicious. I want to go again, even though it's far. Next time, I want to try the maguro hoho-don. Also, all the rooms on the second floor are private rooms.

During the Obon holiday weekend, I went to eat lunch. I was shaking when I saw the long line from the road, haha. I'm usually not good at waiting in line, but I really wanted to go after seeing it on Tabelog... I arrived around 1 pm and waited for about an hour and a half. I was seated at the counter, and since the main dish, the seared fatty tuna bowl, was sold out, I ordered the marinated tuna bowl instead. The marinated tuna bowl that arrived was shining and looked delicious... I drooled. The marinated tuna bowl came with a raw egg yolk, which was surprising to me as it was my first time seeing a seafood bowl served with egg. However, the combination of this egg and marinated tuna was seriously amazing! I was so impressed by how well the egg over rice and marinated tuna went together... I want to eat this even if I have to wait in line! I was moved while finishing my meal! When I visit Itoshima again, I want to go early and try the seared fatty tuna bowl. Thank you for the truly delicious seafood bowl. Itadakimasu!

Rarely do I give a 5-star rating, but this restaurant was worth the 1.5 to 2 hours wait under the scorching sun in the middle of summer. The seafood bowl was delicious with fresh sea urchin, but what really stood out was the live squid from Yobuko. The squid was firm, transparent, thick, and had a satisfying chewiness, making it the best squid I've ever had. I devoured it in no time and I definitely want to come back again.

The restaurant had a great taste and atmosphere. We arrived at 11:30 on a weekday and had to wait for about 20 minutes. I had the superb seafood bowl, and every type of fish was delicious, making me feel like I was in Hokkaido. My husband didn't want the shrimp sashimi, so it was deducted from the 2300 yen bill. The pickles, chawanmushi, and miso soup that came with the meal felt like they were worth more than the price. However, the ginger ale had lost its carbonation and tasted like it was from a drink bar, which was a shame. It's a bit far for us, but we would like to visit this restaurant again.

I had always wanted to visit Itoshima, and my assignment in Kitakyushu finally gave me the opportunity. I was torn between Itoshima Shokudo and Tsukamoto Sengyo-ten, but after reading reviews and looking at photos, I decided to visit Tsukamoto. There was a large parking lot behind the store, and despite it being a Sunday lunchtime, I was able to get a table in less than 30 minutes. The deluxe seafood bowl was amazing, and I left feeling very satisfied.

On a sweltering day, I visited this highly rated restaurant. There were over 10 people waiting 30 minutes before opening. I thought I would be seated right away, but they were operating with spaced-out seating, so I had to wait a while. I decided to try their premium seafood bowl. Personally, I could do without the gold flakes. The dish was delicious, but the balance between rice and seafood was a bit off. The chawanmushi was a bit disappointing. In terms of value for money, it's a bit ??, but considering it as part of the travel experience, it's a thumbs up.

It was a normal day, but I waited in line for about 30 minutes to get in! I wonder if it's even busier on days off. The seafood bowl with tempura was around 2,300 yen. It was delicious, but apparently it used to be even better value for money in the past, so I wish I had come back then. Also, since this area is known for its delicious seafood, I think they could compete by using local fish in their bowls to make them visually appealing as well!

I had a strong craving for delicious tempura rice bowl, so I made the trip to Itoshima. The quality and quantity were both outstanding. It was great that the sauce was served separately, allowing me to adjust the flavor to my liking. It was definitely worth the 2300 yen. I will visit again.

During a drive trip to Itoshima, we stopped by this restaurant. It was a little after 2 pm on a Saturday, but we were able to enter without any issues. The seafood bowl set was excellent in terms of cost performance! It even came with chawanmushi and tempura, all at such a reasonable price. The interior of the restaurant was very cozy, and you have to take off your shoes before entering. The menu also had a good variety of dishes, so I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I arrived 10 minutes before the usual opening time and found a line already formed. The staff informed me that the same menu is available at their second location (a 2-minute drive away), but I chose to wait at the main store. I waited for about 30 minutes for my turn. I was seated in a tatami room and placed my order using a tablet. I ordered the Deluxe Seafood Bowl Tempura Set for 3,100 yen and also ordered a Uni and Ikura Bowl for around 6,000 yen. The Uni was a whole piece from Hokkaido, and there was plenty of it! Since it is a fish market-run restaurant, the food was fresh and delicious!

Must line up! I went to the restaurant at opening time, but had to wait for about 30 minutes. The seafood bowl, loved by locals in Itoshima, was the most delicious I've ever had. The tuna cheek bowl melts in your mouth and disappears instantly. I definitely want to go back to eat again. It's totally worth waiting in line for.

A popular seafood restaurant in Itoshima. The seafood bowl is a favorite, and there is always a line at lunchtime. The seafood bowl is very luxurious and reasonable, with fresh and voluminous seafood. I prefer using it as an izakaya at night. You can also make reservations by phone. The live squid sashimi in the photo was the most luxurious and beautiful I have ever had. The large squid made for a very voluminous tempura dish as well.

I had a seafood bowl and it was delicious. My child wanted to eat sushi, so we also tried the grilled nodoguro sushi. My child was amazed by how delicious it was and couldn't stop expressing how good it was as soon as they took a bite. We would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

I arrived around 11:30 on a weekday. There was a line of about 15 groups, but surprisingly I was able to enter the restaurant quite quickly, in about 30 to 40 minutes. The restaurant was very clean and I was seated on the second floor. I ordered the premium seafood bowl, the special seafood bowl with fish head soup set, live ark shell sashimi, and oyster sashimi, all of which were very fresh and delicious. The chawanmushi had a gentle flavor, and the addition of white balls was a nice touch. Most importantly, the premium seafood bowl was only ¥2300, making it very cost-effective. Highly recommended.

I came for lunch because I wanted to treat my husband (*´ω`*) The portion was so big that we couldn't finish it, and I regretted getting the extra large size haha The sea urchin was really delicious, as expected ♡ Just a heads up, there are bowls without sea urchin, so be careful when ordering ( *´︶`*)

I visited during my trip to Fukuoka. After waiting in line for about an hour, I finally got inside the store. The street where this store is located has various shops and is bustling. The taste was very delicious. However, there were two types of sauces, soy sauce and sesame sauce, and I was drawn to the novelty of the sesame sauce, but the soy sauce was actually tastier...
