Just a 1.2-minute walk from the east exit of Kamata Station, past the ward office and on the 5th floor of a mixed-use building, is this izakaya where you can have lunch. It used to be a Chinese restaurant, but now it seems to focus more on Japanese cuisine, as the lunch menu is also mainly Japanese. I ordered the recommended beef tendon stew from the staff. It came with a generous amount of beef tendon, along with cold tofu and pickles. They also mentioned that rice and miso soup are free for refills. The atmosphere is pleasant and the beef tendon is delicious, cooked in a sweet and salty sauce that makes you want to drink up every last drop. Despite the talk of tax increases, the prices are reasonable and the seating is spacious, making it suitable for large groups. This is a hidden gem for lunch in Kamata.
