Today, I had a meeting with a business partner in Oimori. The designated meeting spot was "Freshness Burger Oimori Store." The location is on the first floor of a building directly in front of the bus terminal after exiting the east exit of Oimori Station on the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line. I arrived a bit early, so I decided to wait inside the restaurant. However, I received a call saying they would be about 20 minutes late. With some time to spare, I decided to have lunch here while waiting for them. Looking at the menu, I noticed a limited-time "Brand Wagyu Burger," specifically the "Kobe Beef Salt Burger," so I ordered that along with an iced coffee. The staff informed me that it would take some time, to which I agreed. After about 15 minutes, I received a beautifully packaged hot burger in a brown box, along with a container of "Premium Calpis Butter" and a booklet on how to eat it. I opened the box, took out the bun, which had a slight color to it, likely freshly grilled on a hot plate in the store. The patty inside was 100% Kobe beef, no fillers, and I spread the "Premium Calpis Butter" on it before sandwiching it back with the bun. The taste was amazing! The patty was coarsely ground, retaining the texture of the meat, seasoned only with salt and pepper. The added saltiness and rich flavor of the "Premium Calpis Butter" complemented the Kobe beef's umami taste perfectly. With no other toppings or sauce, just the patty and bun, there was no room for deception. It takes confidence to commercialize a product like this, and the bun also needed to be sturdy to balance the Kobe beef patty. Freshness Burger was founded on December 14, 1991, and they are about to celebrate their 30th anniversary. This special burger for the occasion was indeed a confident creation. It was a pleasant surprise to encounter such a unique taste, and it made for a great lunch. The bill came to 1,720 yen for the "Kobe Beef Salt Burger" at 1,380 yen and the iced coffee at 340 yen. Thank you for the meal!
