We visited the Shou sushi restaurant at Toyosu Market with 6 people on a Saturday before 6:30 am. This time, a high school friend who was on a business trip from Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, wanted to visit Toyosu Market, so we set up a meeting and went there. The restaurant opened at 7 am, and we were seated at a table in the back. We enjoyed the sushi prepared by a veteran chef with a friendly smile who had joined the restaurant just 5 months ago. We ordered the Summer Special Omakase sushi for 9,800 yen including tax. It included fresh sea urchin with shells, and it was excellent. The price was a bit higher compared to before, maybe due to inflation. The Summer Special Omakase included items like flounder from Aomori, salted bonito from Shizuoka, horse mackerel from Edo, abalone with liver sauce, plum crystal, miso soup, striped jack from Kochi, tiger prawn from Kagoshima, purple sea urchin from Iwate, sea eel from Tsushima, and egg. The abundance of sea urchin varieties like purple sea urchin from Iwate, northern sea urchin from Baekdusan, and additive-free purple sea urchin from Rishiri Island was a delightful surprise. The sushi was delicious, and everyone in our group enjoyed the dishes like horse mackerel, flounder, abalone, tiger prawn, and fluffy sea eel. The chef also praised the sea eel, saying it had a good amount of fat. Shou at Toyosu Market is a bright and clean restaurant where you can enjoy delicious sushi. Highly recommended! The restaurant has a visually appealing entrance and a sushi chef who looks like a true Edo native. The sushi, being from Toyosu, is very fresh. However, the rice was a bit too mushy and crumbled when picked up with chopsticks, which was disappointing. 12 pieces for 5,000 yen.

Visited "Akira" at the fish market building of Toyosu Market for breakfast for the first time at the opening time of 7 AM. They have both counter and table seats in a spacious interior. Started with a bottle of beer and ordered the Summer Special Omakase Nigiri set. The set included mozuku seaweed, chilled tomato, yellowtail from Kagoshima, fatty tuna from Shiogama, horse mackerel from Nagasaki, cured mackerel from Miyagi, turban shell from Aichi, flounder, daikon with umeshiso, scallop, spot prawn, sea urchin from Aomori, horse dung sea urchin from Hokkaido, additive-free horse dung sea urchin, miso soup, eel, egg, and matcha pudding. The vinegar in the rice was subtle with a mellow texture. The toro with just the right amount of fat for this season was delicious, and the sea urchin tasting was especially enjoyable with rich flavors of purple sea urchin, aromatic and flavorful horse dung sea urchin, and incredibly tasty additive-free horse dung sea urchin. It was a luxurious morning feast!

I had the omakase nigiri with additional sea urchin. The contents included flounder from Hokkaido, bluefin tuna, Irish mackerel, Suruga Bay kohada, Tokyo Bay kanpachi, Nagasaki golden eye snapper, Choshi shrimp, Aichi Isshiki scallop, Sanriku octopus, Sajima salmon roe, Hokkaido sea urchin, Hokkaido conger eel, Matsushima conger eel. The Isshiki natural shrimp was excellent, and the Suruga Bay mackerel and Nagasaki kanpachi were also delicious.

Had sushi at Toyosu Market from the morning. The fact that you can get amaebi in the omakase at this price is amazing! In Tokyo's counter sushi restaurants, you usually have to add amaebi separately. So I was very satisfied!! They seem to be trying out matcha milk as a dessert option, so I visited during the trial period. It was not too sweet and very delicious.

I tried some light snacks at Sushi Sho in Toyosu Market for lunch. The flounder, Aomori bluefin tuna, Shiogama horse mackerel, Toyama swordfish, Kanagawa golden snapper, Choshi shrimp, Aichi Isoshiki scallop, Hokkaido conger eel, Tsushima horse mackerel, conger eel, and Aichi Isoshiki natural shrimp were particularly delicious.

I had breakfast at the local tourist spot, Toyosu Market, at Sushi Sho. I had the Summer Special Omakase Nigiri for 9,800 yen, which was mainly composed of sea urchin. Today's special nigiri was the "Isaki from Goto Islands", which had a delicious fatty texture. The special appetizer of the day was "Abalone with liver sauce mixed with sushi rice", which was so tasty that I ended up getting a second serving of sushi rice. The meal also included dishes like seaweed and tomato with dashi, pickled plums, sea urchin, abalone with liver sauce mixed with sushi rice, flounder, Aomori bluefin tuna, Shio-kama horse mackerel, Yamaguchi kohada, Saga Isaki, Goto Islands shrimp, Kagoshima octopus, Sado Island sea urchin, Rishiri sea urchin, Nemuro eel, and Tsushima sea eel.

The vinegar was just right, the rice was firm, and the fish was fresh and delicious. I was especially surprised by the deliciousness and freshness of the horse mackerel and scallops. The additional purple sea urchin for 1500 yen was rich and sweet without any bitterness. The conger eel was fluffy and delicious. I had 12 pieces of sushi and added the sea urchin for a total of about 6500 yen.

I used this place to guide overseas business travelers to visit Tsukiji Market in the morning and enjoy delicious sushi. I have been here a few times privately, and it is very convenient because there is not much of a line in the morning. Many tourists also come, and it was cool to see the sushi chefs serving customers in English and Chinese! You can get full for around 5000 yen per person, which is great. I want to bring my foreign friends here again!

I came to try the Spring Special Assorted Nigiri. The grilled clams were thick and juicy, and the best nigiri today was the "Chiba Aoyagi" with top-ranking shellfish dominating. The Spring Special Assorted Nigiri costs 7,700 yen and includes firefly squid, flat clams, rape blossoms, vinegar miso, Kashima grilled clams, bluefin tuna, Korean mackerel, Choshi red snapper, Ohara Japanese flying squid, Koshima Botan shrimp, Hokkaido Aoyagi, Chiba Hokkigai, Tomakomai Akagai, Chinese sea urchin, Hokkaido conger eel, and Tsushima Tamago. Ume suimono with mozuku seaweed and nori soup is also included.

This morning, I had a light omakase set of 8 pieces for 3,300 yen. Despite the small quantity, the quality of the ingredients was excellent. Highly recommended for those with smaller appetites. Today's top sushi pieces included "Sajima octopus," omakase kinmedai, Choshi kamatoro, Nagasaki (lightly seared with salt) sardine, Hyogo swordfish, Tokyo Bay mejimaguro, Yamaguchi shrimp, Kagoshima octopus, Sajima anago, and Tsushima (salt) fish.

I visited for the first time on Monday at 11:50 and had to wait for 10 minutes as it was full, but then I was seated at the counter. When I left, there were nearly 10 people waiting in line. There were many foreigners at the counter, with Japanese and English being spoken. I ordered a set of 12 pieces of nigiri, and the sushi was served one by one in a timely manner, allowing me to enjoy it slowly. The fatty tuna was delicious, and the sea urchin was especially tasty. The squid was sliced nicely and easy to eat. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again.

We arrived without making a reservation because we couldn't read the arrival time. We lined up on the first day of the three-day weekend at 9:30 in the morning and were able to enter the restaurant in about 15 minutes, but by the time we left, there was a long line. We ordered the chef's selection of 12 pieces of sushi and a white fish ponzu, which turned out to be clearly bonito. The appearance, texture, color, smell, and even the smoky flavor all pointed to bonito. It was a bit disappointing. The sea urchin was bitter and the shrimp was watery and fibrous, like a sponge. However, the seaweed was very fragrant and had a lingering taste, which was the highlight of the meal. Overall, if this is the quality they offer, I would say Sushiro is tastier. Nonetheless, the rice was delicious, so I was satisfied with it as a breakfast. Thank you for the meal.

The lunch was a bit expensive, but the medium fatty tuna and negitoro were surprisingly delicious! The restaurant is very crowded and it takes time to get a table, but it was worth it. The miso soup and mozuku were not good, the mozuku had no vinegar taste and the miso soup was too light. Be careful with the soy sauce on the table.

I used the nationwide travel support and stayed at Hotel JAL City Tokyo Toyosu in front of Toyosu Market. Although it is within day-trip distance from my home, the accommodation cost was really affordable at 40% off, with a twin room for my wife and me costing only 7500 yen due to the discount. Upon check-in, I presented my vaccination certificate and received a 6000 yen electronic coupon as part of the "Tokyo Plus" campaign, making my actual out-of-pocket expense only 1000 yen. Since mornings at Toyosu Market start early, it was an opportunity not to be missed. This time, I visited Sushi "Sho," a popular spot at Toyosu Market, although not as crowded as Daiwa Sushi. We reserved the chef's choice nigiri set, including Autumn Special Chef's Choice Nigiri for 6600 yen each, and enjoyed it with Heartland beer for 600 yen each. We started with a toast and an appetizer of mozuku seaweed and matsutake mushroom chawanmushi, which was warm and gentle on the stomach. The nigiri sushi began with Kanpachi, offering a firm texture and a perfect balance of umami and sweetness. We also had Chutoro (Kesennuma), Shime Saba, Kobudai, and more. We paired the meal with Yuki Muro Jyukushu Sanchinen sake from Hakkaisan Brewery, which had a smooth taste nurtured by the natural environment and tradition of Uonuma. The meal continued with delicious items like Shiraiika, Hon Mirugai, Botan Ebi, Aji (Kochi), Bafun Uni, Anago (Tsushima), and more. We also tried additional dishes like Kuruma Ebi (Oita). With a stay of just over an hour, we enjoyed a perfect tempo of nigiri sushi at Toyosu Market, savoring the flavors while also enjoying some drinks. The craftsmanship of each piece and the balance of shari rice were exceptional, making it a must-visit spot at Toyosu Market. If you visit Toyosu Market, this is a restaurant you don't want to miss out on!

I had plans to stay at "La Vista Tokyo Bay" near lunchtime, so I wanted to have sushi for lunch in Toyosu. I considered famous places like "Sushidai" and "Yamato Sushi," but I chose this restaurant this time because they take reservations and you don't have to wait in line, and it seemed like a place where I could relax. I visited at 11 o'clock with a reservation. There were customers waiting, so making a reservation was the right decision. The restaurant has slightly cramped counter seats and table seats, but I mainly used the counter seats. I had the following: - Chef's selection of 12 pieces of sushi for 4,600 yen (including tax) - Mozuku vinegar - 12 pieces of sushi (amberjack, bluefin tuna, bonito, horse mackerel, Spanish mackerel, flounder, scallop, spot prawn, sweet shrimp, salmon roe, sea urchin, conger eel) - Rolled sushi - Ume-shiso roll with daikon radish and shiso leaf - Tamagoyaki (sweet omelette) - Soup The sushi may be on the smaller side in terms of the topping and rice, but each piece was of high quality and made me feel happy with each bite. Everything was delicious, but the horse mackerel and salmon roe were exceptional. The rolled sushi was negitoro, and the extra piece of sushi from following them on Instagram was squid legs. The chef was friendly and made the experience enjoyable without being too formal. The restaurant had many customers from Asian countries, and they all seemed satisfied. Sushi Sho. First visit to Toyosu Market. As it was close to lunchtime, I opted for an 8-piece set instead of 12. They serve each piece one by one at the counter in a course style. I had buri, toro, sawara, aji, akami, daikon with umeshiso, kurumaebi, Ishigaki clam, anago, tamago, and tako. I received an extra piece of tako for following them on Instagram. It was delicious!
