I was taken to this local restaurant to try the sea bream set meal. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it all, but I also added some abalone sashimi. My companion had the tempura set meal, which was very generous in portion. The sea bream was fresh and had a perfect balance of flavors. The sea bream was so tender and delicious. And all of this at such a reasonable price! I didn't know that there was a lot of sea bream caught in this area. The abalone was also fresh, large in size, and very satisfying to eat. I felt a bit bad for leaving some food uneaten, but I highly recommend coming here. It seems that tour groups also visit this place, as there was a tour bus parked outside on the day we went. I heard that you can dine on the upper floor with a view of the sea, but we dined on the first floor this time. Regardless of the view, we enjoyed a delicious meal. Thank you for the feast!

The sashimi was fresh and delicious! We were lucky to get a seat with a view of the ocean, even though we couldn't make a reservation on the day. It was my birthday and I really enjoyed the food and the scenery. The portions were generous, the quality was great, and the prices were affordable. The ladies next to us ordered live squid, which looked delicious.

I didn't even research it, but I stumbled upon it. The seafood bowl set was very reasonable at 1350 yen. The fish was obviously fresh, and the miso soup was delicious with a nice taste. It wasn't too crowded, maybe because it's tucked away.

The fishing port of Itoshima City in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is known for its red snapper catches. I had a wonderful seafood bowl at this restaurant last time, and it's still on my mind. I had a menu in mind that I really wanted to try next time I visited. Despite it being a bit far, I felt that it was worth going to eat there. I decided to visit on a weekday around noon. As expected, the popular restaurant already had many customers. I ordered the Red Snapper Tea Set for 1350 yen including tax. It's wise to go on a weekday as the restaurant is popular. If you go on a weekend, you can only imagine how long you would have to wait. While waiting for the food to be served, I enjoyed the view of the sea from the second-floor dining area. It was not boring at all. It was clear to see how many people love fish, especially in Itoshima City, where many tourists come for sightseeing. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the food was served. The plate was filled with thick slices of red snapper sashimi, 10 pieces in total. Under the sashimi, there was a slightly sweet soy sauce and mirin-based sauce, along with shiso leaves and wasabi on the side. The side dish was mozuku seaweed vinegar, and for ochazuke, there were tempura flakes and chopped nori. The slightly sweet miso soup contained white fish dumplings and wakame. Now, let's try a piece of the red snapper sashimi. With the sauce on it, I took a bite over the rice. The texture was firm and chewy. This freshness is the characteristic of Itoshima City. If you come to Itoshima City, you must try the red snapper. It felt like a waste to eat this sashimi as ochazuke. I ate 6 pieces as is and the remaining 4 pieces with chopped nori and tempura flakes on rice as ochazuke, but the tea was not dashi, just regular green tea. I personally thought that eating the sashimi as is was better. It seemed like the older customers were enjoying the ochazuke. Just experiencing the firm texture of the 6 thick slices of red snapper was worth the visit. On the way back, I found another interesting restaurant. I must go there next time too!

Those who live in the outskirts of Fukuoka City may have heard of a restaurant that doubles as a guesthouse in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, with a beautiful view of the fishing port in front. I have stayed there several times for work, bringing employees for training. I wanted to introduce Fukuoka to my followers, so I often wander around. I remembered not this restaurant but a nearby branch of the main restaurant. I had planned to visit the branch of Isosakiya, but when I called to confirm, I was told that the branch was not currently open. I had no choice but to go to the main restaurant. I wanted to eat fish, so I drove there despite the distance. I arrived on a weekday just before noon. The second-floor dining area had a noticeable number of female customers. The tables were now chair-style, but they used to be tatami rooms. I was seated at a vacant table and looked at the fishing port view outside while waiting for the food. I decided to order the seafood bowl set for 1350 yen including tax. The wide-mouthed bowl contained white rice, chopped seaweed, four thick slices of red sea bream, Japanese flying squid, red shrimp, and flying fish roe. The variety of toppings was a bit disappointing, but the freshness of the fish was undeniable. The red sea bream had a firm texture that required some effort to chew, but it was worth it. The Japanese flying squid had a unique sticky sweetness, and the small red shrimp was satisfying to eat. The set also included miso soup with one fish ball and seaweed, as well as mozuku vinegar and pickles. The restaurant had fish tanks, so you could enjoy fish caught directly from the fishing port. The place was popular, even on weekdays, so making a reservation might be wise. I left the restaurant feeling satisfied and looking forward to my next visit.

At the end of November, a friend was planning to visit from Tokyo. We were supposed to go on a drive to Itoshima, but she had to cancel the trip due to the spread of infection. Fortunately, my husband happened to take a day off during the week, so we decided to go on the Itoshima drive that we had planned with my friend. After visiting Sakurai Shrine, we asked for lunch recommendations and decided to go to a place called "Isotake Hanare." It has a seaside inn-like atmosphere from the outside. Upon entering, we were directed to the second floor, where there was a spacious tatami room with tables set up for dining. There were already three groups of customers enjoying their meals by the window. We sat at an available table, enjoying the view of the sea like a family game night (laughs). I had the set meal with simmered fish and sashimi for 1500 yen, while my husband had the set meal with sashimi tempura for the same price. The set meal with simmered fish included simmered fish, sashimi, a small dish of mozuku seaweed, pickles, rice, and miso soup. The simmered fish had a slightly sweet soy sauce flavor and was quite substantial. It was cooked to be soft and easy to eat. The sashimi included two types, Kanpachi and another type of fish that was incredibly firm. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, but the simmered fish alone was satisfying enough. The tempura was also plentiful and tasty. We were able to enjoy our meal leisurely while gazing at the sea and a small island in the distance. I think visitors from outside the prefecture would be delighted to dine here. Thank you for the meal. I look forward to bringing my friend here next time.

This is my second visit to Iso no Ya. The first visit was great, so I came with 4 people this time, with high expectations. We had lunch around 12:40, and our orders arrived in about 10 minutes. We ordered simmered fish set, grilled fish set (each 1,000 yen), sashimi and tempura set (1,500 yen), and the "Sazae feast" diver's rice bowl (2,000 yen). The Sazae feast was amazing, with Sazae sashimi, side dishes, chawanmushi (with Sazae on top), 3 grilled Sazae shells, soup, Sazae rice, pickles, seasonal fruit dessert. It exceeded our expectations in terms of taste, it was fantastic. Everyone finished their meals. The grilled fish set took 40 minutes to eat just the grilled fish. We will definitely visit again soon.

The scenery was beautiful and the food was delicious. It's rare to find a restaurant with such a beautiful view. The grilled fish and sashimi were tasty, and I want to come back again. The second-floor seating with tatami mats, tables, and chairs was comfortable. The portions were generous and I left feeling full. It's a bit far from the city, but I would like to visit again.

It was my first visit, but it was definitely a great restaurant. I ordered a seafood bowl (1,200 yen) for lunch after 2 pm, and it arrived in about 5 minutes. The sea bream and amberjack sashimi had the expected freshness and great texture. It was amazing. I will definitely be back soon.

Located near the Akayama Beach, which was selected as one of Japan's "Top 100 Best Beaches" by the Ministry of the Environment, is the long-established ryokan and seafood restaurant "Isono-ya" in Akayama Fishing Port. During the summer, a beach house is set up on Akayama Beach, where you can enjoy a meal while overlooking the calm waves and beautiful sunset. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood dishes such as sashimi, tempura, grilled fish, and simmered dishes at reasonable prices. The reviewer visited the restaurant during a drive through the Itoshima Peninsula for a driving training session. Despite the limited parking space, they managed to park successfully and enjoyed a delicious seafood bowl overlooking the scenic Akayama Beach. The reviewer highly recommends trying the "Sazae Sanmai" and "Kaishu Okimeshi" dishes on their next visit. Overall, they were satisfied with the quality of food and the value for money at Isono-ya.

I want to taste the sweetness of the squid, but the soy sauce interferes with the sweetness.

I visited the restaurant with my boss and colleagues. We arrived just before noon, and by lunchtime, the place was filling up with customers. I ordered the sashimi set, while my boss had the boiled fish head set. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, coming straight from the tank inside the restaurant. My boss really enjoyed his boiled fish head set, which was quite generous in portion and delicious. The restaurant lived up to everyone's praise in terms of taste and portion size, so I would definitely visit again if given the chance.

Located near Akashiyama's Oomon, this seaside restaurant is a bit remote but worth a visit during a drive. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the sea from the second floor seating. I recommend the "Ara-daki set meal" for 1,080 yen, which comes with a generous portion of Ara-daki, miso soup, side dishes, pickles, and rice. The sweet Ara-daki goes well with the rice. My friend said the sashimi here is top-notch, and it's true! The tai is firm and the enagawa is crunchy. With great taste and value, this place is a must-try!

If Tachibana is open... but still, the seafood bowl is okay.
