I thought the medium-sized curry was not as much as I expected, but there was enough food due to the fried items. The cutlet was thin and the meat was tough, the sausage had a crispy texture, and the shrimp fry was crunchy and good.

I also like CoCo Ichibanya's curry, but I also like Go Go Curry. In the end, my love for curry has not changed since childhood, but for me (within Japanese curry), these two are completely different. That being said, when I go to Go Go Curry, I can't help but eat it like this (as shown in the photo). The cabbage topping looks like a "mountain" and is a great service, and I also like how it goes with the curry roux. I end up making it less healthy by adding mayonnaise and sauce on top of the cabbage, but I think it's healthy as I eat it. This time, I asked for extra roux. On days with a "5" in them, you can get a free topping coupon, so it feels like a special day known to those in the know. Thank you for the meal as always.

Located on the second floor just a 1-minute walk from Shinjuku Gyoen is Gogo Curry! This is my first post even though I have visited a few times before, as I usually refrain from reviewing well-known chain restaurants. Some may wonder why I am posting about it, but I decided to do so because I was told that my way of eating is unusual. I ordered the usual Rosukatsu with cheese topping. It was served in about 4 minutes. Then, I topped it with self-serve cabbage until it was completely covered. Some might think this is an abnormal amount, but I disagree. I added mayonnaise and it was complete. The curry is generally thick and rich, so I like to add some crunchiness to balance it out. If you haven't tried it before, give it a shot. Bon appétit!

The other day, I visited Go Go Curry Shinjuku Gyoen Stadium for lunch! The impression is that they focus more on quantity than spiciness when it comes to their curry. You can increase the spiciness by buying a ticket, but when you just want to eat curry without worrying about the spiciness, it's very satisfying! After eating here, you will feel so satisfied that you might get sleepy haha. They offer free refills of Fukujinzuke and mayonnaise, which is just the best. When in doubt, go for Go Go Curry! ε=(ノ・∀・)ツ

Visited the famous Go Go Curry, known for its Kanazawa curry. The name "Go Go Curry" comes from the jersey number 55 of professional baseball player Matsui, who is from Ishikawa Prefecture. The owner, Mr. Miyamori, who is of the same generation as Matsui, was inspired by Matsui's home run in New York and opened the first store in Nishi-Shinjuku, followed by the Kanazawa main store in 2005. They then accelerated their expansion in Ishikawa Prefecture, and in 2006 they even opened a store in New York. Currently, they have 76 stores in Japan and 8 stores overseas, making them a global curry chain. Kanazawa curry was created by Chef Tanaka, a curry champion with multiple stores in Ishikawa Prefecture. The style is as follows: they use silver trays, serve curry sauce that is thick and gooey, top the curry with tonkatsu and pour on a thick sauce, and garnish with shredded cabbage. Today, I ordered the chicken katsu curry with an additional topping of a fried egg. By the way, at Go Go Curry, you can have unlimited refills of shredded cabbage. The curry sauce is black in color and has a rich and thick taste. The fried items are fried after ordering, so they are crispy and have a nice aroma of oil, which pairs well with the thick sauce. The lightness of the cabbage complements the richness of the sauce, and the combination of fried food and cabbage is excellent. Oh, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After several years, I went to Go Go Curry near my office and ordered the classic Rosukatsu Curry for 800 yen. I asked for it to be less thick, and the crispy cutlet with cabbage and rich curry was delicious. I noticed that everyone was saying "Rosukatsu!" at the counter, which I now know is to get a topping coupon that you can receive every time. Looks like I'll be going back to Go Go Curry regularly now. Thank you for the meal.

My beloved Go Go Curry. Whether it's a chain store or not, delicious food is delicious. They have a wide variety of toppings so you can customize your curry just the way you like it. You can also add extra sauce, so you don't have to worry about the balance with the rice. It's the best.

It had been a while since I last had Go Go Curry. I used to be hooked and ate it every week, but it had been a few years since my last visit. As I purchased the pork cutlet curry meal ticket from the vending machine, I couldn't help but think, "Was it this expensive before?" After waiting a few minutes, the curry was served. I noticed that the portion seemed smaller. The balance between the curry sauce and rice was still off, but I couldn't help but feel that the value, portion size, and quality had all decreased. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Today, since I can't drink at the store, whenever I go out, I end up craving carbs. Tonight, it's curry. Maybe it's right before closing? I heard the Pork Cutlet Curry is the most popular menu item, so I splurged. I wonder if the curry roux is pretty salty? Maybe the cutlet too.

I hadn't been able to go to Go Go Curry for a while since the main store in Shinjuku East Exit, which was my go-to place, closed due to the current pandemic situation. However, I finally found some time during lunch and visited the Shinjuku Gyoen store. The bright and clean interior with sunlight streaming in was a nice change from the old windowless store in the mixed-use building in Shinjuku East Exit. I ordered the usual large serving of pork cutlet curry. The system was convenient where the purchase history was linked to the kitchen, so there was no need to show the ticket. When my number was called, I went to pick up my order myself. I quickly finished the cabbage and went for seconds. They happily gave me a large serving again, and when I had finished half of the curry, I went for another refill of cabbage with a smile. This time, it ended up looking like "Curry Cabbage" instead of curry rice. Eating this much cabbage with the pork cutlet curry made me feel no guilt at all, which is the best part of Go Go Curry. Thank you for the meal.

I feel like eating Go Go Curry after a long time, so I took a little detour from work. It's a nostalgic taste that I used to eat a lot during my university days. The Kanazawa curry has a rich and flavorful curry sauce with cabbage on top, and pork cutlet, chicken cutlet on the sides, along with sausage and boiled egg, making it a Champion Curry with a satisfying volume. Eating this will definitely decrease work efficiency in the afternoon.

I had a strong craving for food due to my hangover, so I went to Go Go Curry. The thick and flavorful curry, paired with refreshing pickled radish, was irresistible. I also added sausage as a topping. I devoured it all. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having curry for lunch for the first time in years, so I decided to revisit a famous restaurant that has been featured in the media. It received an overall rating of 49 points (out of 100): Food Quality 60 points, Service 20 points, Cleanliness 55 points. I ordered the highly recommended Rosukatsu Curry Small for ¥780 at 12:30, and the food arrived in 5 minutes. The menu ranges from ¥500 to ¥1000 with endless topping options. The presentation was nice with neatly arranged cabbage, curry, rice, and cutlet. The taste seemed to have become richer compared to a few years ago, maybe they are using a machine to mix the curry now? The sauce was a bit too strong, or maybe I poured too much? It felt spicier than before. In terms of satisfaction, it used to taste better, but now it seems a bit overpriced. The self-service system where customers have to lower or pick up their own orders is common in this restaurant, so maybe they could consider lowering the prices a bit.

I visited Go Go Curry after a long time. I usually order Chicken Katsu Curry at Go Go Curry or CoCo Ichibanya. The crispy coating of the chicken is delicious. The cabbage at Go Go Curry helps offset the guilt.

I tried the curry at the new restaurant "幸福堂カレー" but it didn't suit my taste, so I left half of it uneaten and left the restaurant. I then went to a nearby restaurant called "ゴーゴーカレー". I ordered the Rosu Katsu Curry (small portion) for 750 yen, with an additional 100 yen for extra spiciness. I also unconsciously bought a ticket for an extra Rosu Katsu topping for 250 yen, perhaps as a reaction to not being able to add Katsu topping at "幸福堂". I handed the ticket to a foreign staff member who seemed to be from South India and requested not to put sauce on the Katsu. After about 6 minutes, my order number was called, and I picked up my meal from the counter. The portion looked small due to the small rice serving, with only two visible Rosu Katsu pieces. The Rosu Katsu was about 0.8 cm thick, weighing around 90g each, and had a good quality and crispy texture. The curry at "ゴーゴーカレー" had a prominent sweetness from the vegetables and a thick consistency, more like starch-thickened. Even though I ordered extra spiciness, it was only slightly spicy in the aftertaste. The curry paired well with the crispy Katsu and especially with the shredded cabbage. Despite my unexpected and unsatisfactory curry experience, I felt a sense of calm after eating at "ゴーゴーカレー". There are many curry specialty restaurants in Tokyo with high customization options and spiciness levels, but it can be challenging to find the perfect one. I look forward to trying out more new restaurants without fear of failure.

I felt like eating curry, so I went to Go Go Curry at Shinjuku Gyoen Stadium. It is famous for its Kanazawa curry, but Go Go Curry started in Tokyo and then returned to its roots. It is a bit richer compared to typical Kanazawa curry, but the cabbage helps balance it out and it is delicious. Thank you for the meal.

After leaving the yakiniku restaurant and walking to my accommodation, I still felt a bit hungry, so I kept stopping in front of various shops. I had sushi, gyoza, and yakiniku, so the only options left were ramen or curry! Then I found a Go Go Curry near my accommodation! I had never tried it before, so this time I visited the "Go Go Curry Shinjuku Gyoen Stadium" store! I was unsure about the ticket machine, so I ordered the Economy Rosukatsu Curry. I sat down and waited, then when my number was called, I went to pick up my order. The curry looked thick and rich. Surprisingly, they gave me a fork instead of a spoon. I wondered why, but I tried it anyway. The thick and creamy curry was quite delicious! I prefer the curry and rice over the katsu, so next time I might skip the katsu. This was our fourth stop of the day for our year-end party, and we finished with curry. Thank you for the hearty curry meal!

The workplace is nearby so I couldn't resist stopping by! I had the pork cutlet curry with mayonnaise on top. It was delicious and very filling, but even the regular size was tough to finish in the last two bites. I'm getting older. Next time, I'll try the small size. Thank you for the meal.

Kanazawa curry is delicious when I occasionally eat it. I understand that it's not particularly special, but it reminds me of the taste of my hometown.
