First time visiting this store. The spacious interior with high ceilings has heaters everywhere. It looks unattractive, like the air conditioning is broken. Thanks to the heaters, it's warm, but the neatly arranged interior feels weird. Waited about 20 minutes for the order to arrive. Loyho is slow to serve. Maybe because they're particular about how they make it. This time I ordered the set with hamburger, sausage, and chicken. Comes with rice and onion gratin soup. The onion gratin soup is hot and delicious, but it feels like there's less cheese than before. It's small, so satisfaction is low. The hamburger is consistently delicious. The sausage is as good as always. The chicken would be better if it was cooked more to get rid of the slimy skin feeling. However, the rice was mushy and not tasty, which made everything feel mediocre. Overall, it's delicious, but there were disappointing aspects here and there.

One night, I wanted to go to "Royal Host" with my husband. I really wanted to eat their Onion Gratin Soup. My late mother used to make it by caramelizing onions, toasting French bread and cheese in the oven for a long time. It was quite a process. I loved my mother's Onion Gratin Soup. When I tried it at the restaurant, it reminded me of my mother's soup. During dinner, we drove to the restaurant with my husband. In a quiet corner where Hitomi Street and Renjaku Avenue intersect, there is a chain restaurant familiar as Royal Host. This inconspicuous Royal Host seems to be the first store in Tokyo. It is always bustling with customers, even though it is not in a prominent location. I visited on a weekday around 9 pm, and despite the late hour, it seemed fully occupied. However, the staff's service was lackluster. The food service was incredibly slow. Perhaps the number of customers is a factor, but it was still a bit slow. They also sell takeout ice cream and cookies, which is not common in other family restaurants. They even offer cookie samples, which I found interesting. The cookies were similar to Country Ma'am in texture. As for the food, I ordered the Scallop, Shrimp, and Red Snapper Paper Hot Pot Set (1480 yen + tax). At first glance, it lacked volume and seemed plain. The miso soup was notably watery. The main dish consisted of butter soy sauce with fried shrimp, scallops, red snapper, mushrooms, and spinach. The shrimp and red snapper didn't absorb the flavors well, unlike the scallops. The rice was cooked on the softer side, which wasn't to my liking. Overall, I felt that it didn't justify the price. It made me realize that Royal Host is more suited for Western cuisine.

They even provided vinyl aprons for the kids, which was better than the paper aprons my child had torn up at another family restaurant before. As for the food, when I think of Royal Host, I think of curry, and sure enough, they were having a curry fair. Among the variety of menu items, I chose the Beef Kashmir Curry, which seemed to be the spiciest. And it did not disappoint – it was indeed spicy! Royho visited this Mure store for the first time, attracted by the morning menu available from 7 a.m. Recently, many restaurants have been cutting back on services like morning menus due to cost-saving measures. The store was operating with just one floor staff member, and there were only three other customers present, all elderly. The menu included a 724 yen salmon breakfast set, which arrived in less than 5 minutes. The set included a 16cm salmon fillet, two pieces of tamagoyaki, grated daikon, a small side dish of spinach and tuna, roasted seaweed, rice, and miso soup. The salmon was delicious, better than what Royho had previously experienced at other family restaurants. Royho recalled a friend mentioning that higher prices often mean better quality, and this experience with the salmon confirmed that. Royho ordered an extra serving of rice for 84 yen. Despite having a tight schedule, Royho was able to enjoy a satisfying breakfast in just 15 minutes at the store.

On a day off, we went for a walk and had brunch at Kufuru and Royho. We had sautéed watercress and bacon (a bit crispy), French fries, Kirin Classic Lager, and Codorniu Clasico Seco. I had onion gratin soup (sweet), clubhouse sandwich (lettuce, tomato, roast chicken, ham, bacon, on crispy toast) with fries and cucumber pickles on the side, and a slightly bitter café jelly for dessert. My partner had onion gratin soup, Asian coriander salad (coriander, lettuce, tomato, avocado, carrot, sesame, steamed chicken, oriental dressing), Maharaja chicken curry, and yogurt chutney. Our daughter had onion gratin soup, Angus sirloin steak 200g with warm vegetables, and chestnut affogato. We were full and satisfied, and took a taxi home.

On a leisurely early evening weekend, I decided to stop for coffee on my way back from Musashisakai to Suginami and stumbled upon a Royal Host. It was a bit tricky to enter the parking lot due to traffic congestion and a right turn right after merging, but I managed to park safely. The parking lot was spacious. The restaurant was about 30-40% full, and I was seated by the window. I ordered coffee and a parfait. The background music was unexpectedly loud, making the atmosphere a bit unsettled even though there were plenty of empty seats. I asked the elderly waiter who brought me my coffee to lower the volume a bit, and they promptly did so. Strangely, as the music volume decreased, the overall noise level in the restaurant also lowered, creating a more calming atmosphere. This was the kind of ambiance I had hoped for at Royal Host. It had been a while since I last visited a Royal Host, and I wondered if all family restaurants were bustling like this nowadays, or if it was just this particular store, or maybe I had changed. I thought about visiting other family restaurants, including other Royal Host locations, to see if they were similar. Family restaurants where you can easily park and enjoy coffee or sweets are very convenient, so I would like to use them when the opportunity arises. In an era where you can get delicious coffee at convenience stores, I imagine running family restaurants must be tough. I wonder how family restaurants will evolve in the future. It gets very crowded during lunchtime. The parking lot is quite spacious. There are also many bicycles parked outside. Among the chain restaurants, I like Royal Host the most. I enjoy their corn soup because it's rich and tasty. The menu changes depending on the season. They have a drink bar. I use this restaurant casually as it's easy to reach by car.
