If you want to eat delicious seafood in Kitakyushu, you must make a reservation at Antei!! It's always crowded there. Must-try dishes include dried one-night blackthroat seaperch, live Kawahagi sashimi, Kawahagi miso soup, live horse mackerel sashimi, live octopus sashimi, and cod milt. You will be satisfied with everything else as well.

The squid, mackerel, and everything else I tried was delicious!!! The staff were also very friendly, and this time the squid was a bit small, so they gave me sea urchin as a service! I ate the sea urchin and squid together with salt and yuzu, and it was exquisite!!! It was amazing when paired with sake!!! I will definitely come back when I visit Fukuoka again!

I visited a restaurant during a business trip because I wanted to eat seafood, and found it on Tabelog. Unfortunately, the squid I was looking for was sold out, which was very disappointing, but I ordered fugu and crab instead. They were fresh and delicious, and went well with the sake! I was also curious about jellyfish, so I tried it and it was crunchy and tasty!

The restaurant is always perfect in every way. Everything was excellent as usual. Every dish is delicious, so everything is a favorite. It is recommended to eat salt instead of soy sauce with the white fish sashimi, and it is really good. Even soy sauce lovers will be surprised and should give it a try. Depending on the season, you can enjoy oysters like the ones in the photo, which are also delicious. Reservations are a must, so please be aware of that. You probably won't be able to get in if you just show up without a reservation.

I used it for a night social gathering! It's a restaurant I've always wanted to visit. I had always given up because I couldn't make a reservation, but I finally got to visit. This time, I chose a course with all-you-can-drink option. The sashimi assortment that came out first was so delicious! When eaten with a little salt and wasabi, the sweetness of the fish stands out, so tasty. Various creative dishes were served one after another, and I was very satisfied. It may have been the first time I got so full on mostly fish. The squid sashimi and fried chicken were delicious. The customers were also very happy. It was great! I want my family and friends who come to Kitakyushu next time to experience this restaurant!

I wanted to eat mackerel sashimi so I went to Ajiraku. Located in Kitakyushu, Kyomachi in Kokura, just off Chuginkoji Street. They serve delicious mackerel sashimi. Mackerel is often avoided due to its quick spoilage, but in Nagasaki and Fukuoka, mackerel sashimi is popular. Pacific mackerel often have parasites in their flesh, but mackerel from the Sea of Japan are said to have parasites only in their intestines, making the flesh safe to eat. I also had fugu shirako with the mackerel sashimi. It was a feast for one person. However, it was a bit pricey. It's expected for fugu shirako to be expensive, but it was still a bit high. In that case, let's go to a cheaper casual French bar! The night in Kokura is far from over.

The freshness of the seafood was outstanding. It was a long time since I last felt so glad to have come to a restaurant. The live squid sashimi and sesame mackerel were excellent. I wasn't expecting much from the appetizer, but I was impressed by the delicious fried horse mackerel they served. The speed of serving the food and drinks was just right, and the staff were very friendly. Being able to easily order through a touch panel was also a plus. If you ever come to Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, I would definitely want to go back to this restaurant, and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Visited the restaurant with three colleagues and the company boss. It was a long time since I last visited Kokura, and we had a drinking party. The squid was as clear as in the photo and still slightly moving! We ordered both raw mackerel and sesame mackerel. They were so delicious! We only made a reservation for the table, but we called ahead to order squid sashimi and mackerel. They were very polite and said to call again if we wanted anything else. The total amount spent included the cost of alcohol. I definitely want to go back!

Recently, every time I visit my hometown, I always stop by this restaurant known for its delicious seafood. This time, I arrived late for my reservation and the fresh squid was sold out, but they had another type of squid available. The texture was different from fresh squid, but it was still delicious. I wonder what I should try next time.

We used it for two people during Golden Week. We made a reservation by phone the day before and were able to use it until 19:15. We used it for 1 hour from 18:00. Overall, the ingredients were excellent. It was a restaurant that made us want to go again. Starting with appetizers, we had zaru tofu and squid sashimi, which we also had tempura-style. The fish miso soup made with caught mackerel was a bit sweet, but had good flavor and aroma. The shrimp shumai was very spicy, so just dip a little before eating. The rock oyster was very spicy with grated daikon, so be sure to remove some before eating. The crab miso cream croquette was a bit over-fried. The chicken tempura was made with breast meat and was juicy and satisfying. We ordered too much, so we asked to take some home, and they kindly packed it in a plastic box, wrapped it in aluminum foil, and wrapped it in plastic wrap. Make sure to make a reservation as you can't get in without one!

This is a seafood izakaya located in Kyotocho Gintenkai, beyond the Ogura Chuo Shotengai. The restaurant specializes in mackerel dishes, with mackerel sashimi being a recommended option for additional orders. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that there is a high rate of Japanese sake consumption, with many patrons enjoying cold sake. I visited with two other people and we started with Lager beer bottles, then switched to Ebisu beer bottles, and finally tried the recommended local sake called Tanaka 65 from Itoshima, Fukuoka Prefecture. We ordered a half bottle and found it to be smooth and easy to drink, especially when served cold. I highly recommend it! The sashimi platter cost 3000 yen for 1.5 servings and was fresh and delicious. The Hatoshi, a famous Kyushu fish cake dish, was also outstanding. It resembles a small version of Hokkaido's pan roll and is incredibly tasty. The simmered fish and other dishes were also very delicious. Although we didn't order it this time, they also offer live squid. The prices are on the higher side, but the food is definitely worth it!

Today was my first visit to Ajiraku from Kokura. Even though they were fully booked, I managed to squeeze in at the counter since I arrived early. As I perused the menu, a seafood chawanmushi was served as an appetizer. Delicious!! It included mackerel, clams, and squid. The seafood was incredibly fresh and had a nice texture. It seems like Kyushu is the place for seafood. I was completely absorbed in savoring the flavors. The crab cream croquette was also amazing. I will definitely be coming back to Kokura. It was a delightful meal. Thank you!!

I used it for dinner during my trip to Kokura. I had visited the annex a couple of times before and it was incredibly delicious, so I decided to visit the main branch this time. Everything I ordered was delicious. - Uni Tofu: The combination is obviously delicious, with the sweetness of the tofu standing out. - Live Kawahagi Sashimi: It might be rare for someone to order this alone, but I really wanted to try it. It's great with salt or with grated radish. The miso is rich and almost overwhelming. - Mentaiko Tempura: Crispy on the outside, rare on the inside, and incredibly delicious. - Fishing Mackerel Sashimi: Being able to eat mackerel sashimi is unique to Kyushu, and the spiciness of the wasabi matches perfectly with the deliciousness of the mackerel. - Shirako Tempura: Tempura brings out the fatty texture nicely. It was a moment of bliss.

I visited "Aji Raku," a restaurant in Kitakyushu City known for its delicious fish. Location: It is located in the Kokura Chuo Shotengai, about an 8-minute walk from Kokura Station. Waiting time/Crowdedness: I went on a weekday around 6 pm and it was fully booked with reserved customers. Reservations are essential, and it's best to aim for an early time slot starting around 5 pm. Ordering/Service time: There was a time limit of only 1 hour, so I ordered various delicious seafood dishes, each served in about 5 minutes. - Assorted sashimi: Fresh and delicious sashimi including horse mackerel, flatfish, tuna, sea bream, and striped jack. The freshness and texture were top-notch. - Assorted shellfish sashimi: Fresh and tasty sashimi of turban shell, abalone, and ark shell. - Live squid sashimi: Thick and chewy live squid with a great texture. - Squid tentacle tempura: Tempura made from the leftover live squid sashimi. The freshly fried squid tentacles were amazingly delicious. - Croquette: ★★ - Hamburger steak: ★★★ - Blowfish hot pot: ★★ - Appetizers (shumai, taro, etc.): ★★ Impressions: It's always great to enjoy fresh seafood here. This time, I tried the live squid sashimi that I couldn't have last time, and it was wonderfully delicious. I found this restaurant, "Arakuya," which opens early, in order to catch the prestigious Taiyo Ferry departing at 7:50 pm. I made a reservation for 5:00 pm. Even though I don't drink alcohol and dining alone at an izakaya can be intimidating, I decided to give it a try since I wouldn't be staying for long. I ordered the "Live Blowfish Karaage" for 1600 yen and the "Arakuya Special Seafood Bowl" for 1570 yen. I also ordered a non-alcoholic Chardonnay-flavored drink. The orders were placed through a touch panel, but since I was seated at the counter with the chef in front of me, I asked for a smaller portion of rice. The daily recommendation was ordered directly through the chef. The person next to me asked the chef about the "Natural Blowfish Sashimi" and ordered it. It was said to be delicious during this season (November). There were many solo diners, possibly due to the counter seating. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. They also offer bento boxes, so it might be a good idea to grab one for an early ferry ride.

After finishing my business trip, I called the restaurant around 5 p.m. and was told that they could secure a seat until 7:30 p.m. I arrived at the restaurant around 5:45 p.m. and was guided to a tatami room on the second floor, where I quickly placed my order using a tablet. I wanted to try squid sashimi, but due to bad weather the day before, they couldn't prepare sashimi, so they offered me a variety of fresh fish instead. - Bonito sashimi (back, belly): ★★★★★ Fresh and delicious with just the right amount of fat. - Octopus sashimi from Kanmon: ★★★★★ Tastes amazing with sesame oil. - Horse sashimi: ★★★★ The perfect balance of fat when eaten with the white fatty meat. - Fresh oysters: ★★☆☆ Topped with sea urchin and salmon roe, it was elegantly presented. - Assorted sashimi: ★★★★★ Striped jack, flatfish, tuna, sea bream, turban shell. After returning from Beppu Onsen and transferring from Sonic to the Shinkansen in Kokura, I had some time to spare so I decided to have a drink in Kokura. I wanted to eat delicious fish and squid sashimi, so I went to Ajiraku. The squid sashimi was delicious as expected, and the Spanish mackerel and flatfish were also tasty. They have a wide selection of sake, which is great. The squid sashimi was sold out by 6 o'clock, so I recommend going early. When there is rough seas due to a typhoon, they may not have squid. If you have time during your transfer, I would like to go again.

Course plus all-you-can-drink for 8000 yen. All dishes are delicious. Luxurious ingredients such as blowfish sashimi, blowfish hot pot, spiny lobster, and mackerel, and even the rice is perfect. The portion size is satisfying, with each serving being substantial. The service is good. Drinks arrive within 2 minutes of ordering. I would definitely like to visit again.

I had a seafood bowl for 1000 yen including tax at a restaurant not far from here. The fish and oysters were delicious. I had been here at night a few years ago, and it was also good at night. The thick slices of sashimi were firm and chewy, which was excellent.

I want to come back again. I am truly grateful to the stylish staff. This was my dinner on the first night of my trip. I had been looking forward to it for over two weeks. The Fukuoka sake, Tanaka Rokujugo (only available now, unfiltered "nama"), was very delicious. The fatty whale sushi paired well with ginger and sweet soy sauce, and was very tasty. I added one more order at the end. The dishes were even more delicious than I had imagined, and I realized later that it was all thanks to the stylish staff. My stomach was full, but my heart was also full, and I had a happy night. Thank you very much.

I went to "Ajiraku" in Kokura. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was a line of about three people. The most popular seafood bowl comes with small dishes, salad, soup, and pickles, and if you go at night, you can get it for 1000 yen instead of 1570 yen, which is a great deal! Seafood bowl 1000 yen, bottled beer 600 yen. Not only is this seafood bowl cheap, but the combination with the hot spring egg is effective, and the fresh sashimi was deliciously firm. Also, the miso soup had a strong fish flavor and was incredibly delicious. I was very satisfied.
