I ordered the Pork Cutlet Curry (928 yen) at CoCo Ichibanya. It's a familiar and reliable taste. For just an additional 150 yen, you can order the hand-prepared pork cutlet curry, a higher-tier menu item, but I always find myself wanting the cheap meat quality and the perfectly crispy pork cutlet on top of the Pork Cutlet Curry that I've been accustomed to since long ago.

I visited the CoCo Ichibanya restaurant near Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station. It's about a 4-minute walk from the station. On this day, I ordered soup curry for the first time! It was a delicious soup curry with lots of ingredients. It gave me the impression of the reliable CoCo Ichibanya. It's great that you can visit without worrying about the time. I feel like eating it occasionally. Thank you for the meal.

When I was a student and short on money, I tried a big eater challenge at CoCo Ichibanya for the first time in a while. I arrived around 12:15 PM and although it was full, I only had to wait a little before being seated. I ordered the pork cutlet curry with a spice level of 3 for 823 yen. The curry sauce was delicious as usual, and the tonkatsu was not as tasty compared to tonkatsu specialty restaurants like Kari Kari and Go Go Curry that I had yesterday. However, when eaten together with the curry, it was not a problem. I mentioned this in my previous review at Keralra, but curry at CoCo Ichibanya is just delicious. Companies like House Foods and S&B have really evolved the home-use curry roux, and even ready-made curry is tasty nowadays. This visit to CoCo Ichibanya reminded me of why I used to only go there for big eater challenges. It's because I can make curry at home that suits my taste better. Well, curry is a tricky thing as everyone has their own preferences. It's understandable why chain restaurants receive lower ratings while individual ones get higher ratings, just like how Korean chain restaurants' owners complain to the site operator.

Today I had lunch at Curry House CoCo Ichibanya at the Tokyo Metro Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station. It was my first time eating inside the restaurant, and it was definitely different from getting delivery or takeout. The curry was hot and spicy, even though I ordered it at a spice level of 2. I wonder how spicy a level 10 would be... I chose the crab cream croquette, and it paired perfectly with the curry. I will probably order the same thing next time I go there.笑

Every year, on November 30th, I went to CoCo Ichibanya to eat Katsu Curry as a good luck charm for the big event on December 1st. The shop is located in Shinjuku Ni-chome, specifically the Shinjuku Gyoen store. I chose the "Tokoton Sammai Curry" from the menu, which is a special curry with two Tonkatsu cutlets. The price was quite high at 1,729 yen, but I felt it was worth it for the occasion. The curry came with a side of spicy seasoning, and I always wonder if adding this seasoning is the same as ordering extra spiciness. The dish arrived with two impressive Tonkatsu cutlets, one made with pork loin and the other with pork fillet. While the pork loin was delicious and tender, the pork fillet was a bit tough for my liking. The curry portion was a bit lacking in comparison to the generous amount of meat. Overall, CoCo Ichibanya's curry is always delicious and unique, and it's a dish I crave every now and then.

Tokyo Metropolitan 1033rd branch name discrepancy registration request for correction. This is Tokyo Metro Shinjuku Gyoenmae Station store. Pork shabu curry bento 763 yen, extra large rice (400g) 107 yen, hamburger 258 yen. Total price 1,128 yen x 1 = 1,128 yen (tax included). It's a bit over 1000 yen. The taste is as good as always at Cocoichi. I prefer takeout over dining in because the food stays at the right temperature. In-store food is often too hot as it's freshly made. This may vary from person to person.

When I leaned on the grass pillow, I found a menu called "Chikibeji" that seemed to be limited time only, and decided to order it. It was a bit luxurious for CoCo Ichi, with "Chikibeji 5 spicy loin cutlet topping" costing a total of 1347 yen. The spiciness had a good punch to it, and it felt spicy and not quite like CoCo Ichi? I quite liked it, and even though the rice portion was normal, I got full. Having curry after drinking, I realized I lost my favorite hat before and after visiting this restaurant. I've been quite forgetful lately, which is not good. Thank you for the meal.

I love Cocoichi!! I came here after a long time. I always order the Chicken Stew Curry with Fried Chicken and Spinach toppings!! I like to change the spiciness level, but today I went with a light level 3 spiciness! As always, it was delicious!

I visited CoCo Ichibanya in Shinjuku Ni-chome. There are also Go Go Curry, Nino-ya Curry, and Aries, making it a hidden curry restaurant hotspot. One of the features of CoCo Ichibanya is its extensive menu. House Foods owns more than half of CoCo Ichibanya's shares. I heard in class that there was no other way to get a large amount of curry spice, but I'm not sure if that's true. The restaurant has table and counter seats. I've never seen a line, but there always seems to be a decent amount of customers. The curry menu is quite affordable, with dishes like Katsu Curry priced at 774 yen. The ordering process involves choosing the type of curry, rice portion, spiciness, and sweetness, similar to ordering ramen. There is a spicy spice on the table that allows you to adjust the spiciness as much as you want, but I wonder what motivates people to pay to make it spicier. The reason for my visit to CoCo Ichibanya is a big job I have every December, and I always eat Katsu Curry before that job. For example, two years ago, I went to Azemichi in Harajuku and found a special product called "Ton Katsu Curry." The price was nearly 950 yen, but the tonkatsu was very impressive. The curry has a unique taste that is liked by people of all ages and genders. It is a curry with a mysterious flavor that is not showy but has a unique taste. The next day, as a superstition for continued success, I visited again and ordered the same Ton Katsu Curry. For those who don't like spicy food, adding cheese topping makes it milder. Cheese topping is a great choice. Regular customers may opt for shrimp topping. CoCo Ichibanya is an amazing restaurant.

I don't go to Cocoichi very often, but when I went after a long time, I was very impressed by how delicious it was! I prefer the unique dishes like the one in the photo over simple curry. It's better to order with toppings at Cocoichi. I recommend getting a curry set in the 1200 to 1500 yen range! Also, you can adjust the spiciness, so try to find your preferred level of heat!

I went to a nearby Coco Ichibanya where it's always easy to get a seat and tried their large cutlet curry menu. I ordered it with a spice level of 5, but I could have handled it spicier! The rice portion was normal, but the cutlet was big and filling. Thank you for the meal.

On the way back from drinking on 11/4, I had 300g of pork curry with a level 2 spiciness topping of scrambled eggs & crab cream croquette. It was quite filling after drinking, I didn't need 300g... Either topping would have been enough.

ザ・激辛日記!!

Today, I went to CoCo Ichibanya. Since CoCo Ichibanya has branches everywhere, I thought it would be easy to convey the spiciness based on CoCo Ichibanya. Another reason is that this place is kind of like my home ground. This is because, as a curry lover, I used to work at CoCo Ichibanya 20 years ago when I was a university student (laughs). Of course, it's not the same store I visited today. Due to these reasons, I was excited about what menu to order even before going to the restaurant. After contemplating for a while, I decided that I couldn't miss the pork cutlet curry. I usually add cheese, natto, eggplant, or vegetables, but this time I chose vegetables. So, I ordered the pork cutlet curry with vegetable topping, and the spiciness level was a normal 10 out of 10!!!! By the way, this was my first time ordering a level 10 spiciness. I used to go for around level 7, which I already found spicy, so I had some expectations. After waiting for about 5 minutes, it arrived! The curry seemed thicker than usual and looked quite spicy, giving me high hopes. Suppressing my excitement, I first tried it with Fukujinzuke (pickles) on top and took a bite... Huh? It's not spicy at all... maybe? Second bite... Huh?? When they brought it earlier, did I say level 10 spiciness? I checked the order slip, and it indeed said level 10. I thought to myself, hmm... But it was delicious. I continued to eat eagerly, but it wasn't very spicy, and I was quite disappointed. Nevertheless, I did break a little sweat, so it seemed to be somewhat spicy, but I hardly felt the spiciness. If I were to rate it on a scale of saffron being 10, it would be around 2. I finished it in no time. It was delicious, but in terms of spiciness, I felt a bit let down. I suspect that maybe the staff made a mistake in adjusting the spiciness. I'll challenge it again someday. After drinking the Pork Curry at this restaurant, I heard that you might crave something salty. However, the saltiness in this dish is really strong. I wonder if it's okay since other customers are also eating the same curry. No one seems to be saying anything. When I mentioned it to the staff, they said they taste it every day so it's fine. But I don't think it's good for your health. I've seen similar topics posted online.
