(Visited in early May 2021) I was grateful for the T-points I received from my previous Foodlog post. So, I made a reservation through Foodlog the day before and visited this place on a weekday afternoon off. I arrived at 13:30 and there were 3 groups of 4 people, all women, so the ratio of middle-aged men was 0%. Due to the state of emergency, alcohol was not served, so I tried to deceive myself with non-alcoholic drinks (laughs). I ordered Asahi Dry Zero @610 yen x 2, which was quite expensive. The dishes we ordered were the Tuna Rare Katsu Don with Chicken Dashi Chazuke for me at 1,100 yen, and the Weekly Set Meal with Chicken and Deep-fried Vegetables in Sauce for my wife at 1,150 yen. The dishes were served in about 8 minutes. The Tuna Don was moderate in size, which was good for me as I am on a 3kg diet. The tuna in the middle was pink in color. It came with miso soup, pickles, and dashi broth in a teapot. The set meal included rice, miso soup, 2 side dishes, and pickles. The tuna was very tender and fluffy in texture. The katsu had a crispy coating on the outside and was fluffy inside. The seasoning on the tuna was light, with no raw fishy taste. The sauce seemed to be a mixture of mirin, soy sauce, a little garlic, and ginger, slightly sweet and elegant. The visual presentation was attractive with chopped seaweed and sesame on top of the katsu. The taste was delightful, and it paired well with the rice. I left a quarter of the rice and 3 pieces of tuna katsu, and made chazuke by pouring the chicken dashi over it. The chicken dashi had a strong impact and was delicious even on its own. It was a shame that the wasabi dissolved quickly, but the saltiness and refreshing taste of the wasabi combined well to make a good chazuke soup. It was a delicious meal! My wife and I exchanged a piece of fried chicken for 2 pieces of tuna katsu. The fried chicken was juicy with a mild garlic flavor, very elegant in taste. It was also hard to resist. My wife, who was not a fan of chicken, was intrigued by the chicken dish. I was left with some leftover dashi broth, which I offered to her. In the end, we both had chazuke for dessert, a double chazuke finish (laughs).
