This is a restaurant located on the B1 floor of the Yuito Building, directly connected by an underground passage from Mitsukoshimae Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. It used to be a place called Ikken Sansai until June this year, where you could enjoy dishes like Hishio Karaage for lunch. However, they relocated to Otemachi, and this new restaurant took over the space. The interior remains mostly the same, so you might not notice much of a difference. I visited during weekday lunchtime. Upon entering, I sanitized my hands with alcohol and was seated at a vacant counter. The lunch menu mainly consists of set meals ranging from 1000 to 1200 yen, with items like fresh tuna and Sendai beef tongue priced higher. Options include mackerel bento, hokke fish bento, pork miso marinade grill, maguro buts chicken karaage bento, chicken karaage bento, chicken steak bento, pork shabu bento, natural fresh tuna sashimi bento, Sendai beef tongue grill bento, and braised pork bento. For an additional charge, you can add side dishes like natto, cold tofu, and grated yam. You can choose between white rice and brown rice. I went with the braised pork bento and brown rice. The meal included two large pieces of braised pork, simmered radish, and vegetables as sides. The salad or side dish was a bit lacking. The side dishes were okra, bamboo shoots, pickles, and miso soup. The rice was served in a small portion initially but was refillable. The braised pork was tender and easily fell apart with chopsticks. The fatty parts were particularly delicious. I enjoyed it with the accompanying spicy mustard and radish. While it may be challenging to offer lunch at a chain izakaya price point, the food was tasty, and it was nice to see dishes like the chicken steak being prepared right in front of you.
