Tokyo, Takanawa gourmet! A standing bar that is bustling every day! I reluctantly went along thinking "just one drink..." but the food was delicious, I discovered craft beer that I really like, and the customers were all nice people, so I surprisingly had a good time! UCHU BREWING EARTH was fruity and very delicious! The raw oysters were plump, the fried oysters were juicy, the mixed rice was tasty, and it seems like there's no way to go wrong with any order! It was fun watching soccer during the World Cup with everyone cheering! I might want to go again...

A friend of mine is the manager of a standing bar. It's a really cozy place with overflowing smiles in the small shop. One good thing is that it's cash on, so you can easily come in, have a drink, and leave. It's also rare for a standing bar to accept PayPay, which makes it even more convenient (lol). On this day, I had three lemon sours and pasta.

You need to cross the street from Shirokanetakanawa Station to reach this standing-only izakaya. It's a great place with a friendly atmosphere and a lot of regular customers. They have a wide selection of drinks and the food is also delicious. Even though we just stopped by for a quick bite and drink this time, they also offer heartier options. They have pasta as well, so if you're feeling hungry, be sure to try it! It's delicious.

I've been walking to lose weight recently, Japanese Masshole here. I worked out in Shinbashi that day and walked back home from there! But it was so humid that I wanted a cold drink, it's Friday so I also wanted to drink alcohol, so I made a pit stop at "Airan"! I ended up ordering more than I had planned. When asked "What's your recommendation?" I ordered the fresh oysters. They were refreshing and had a rich flavor, delicious. I ordered the signature dish, lamb dumplings for the first time. They were great, no strong smell, and the juicy meat flavor spread out nicely. The basil and olive oil added to the taste making it even more delicious. I will definitely order this every time from now on. The "Steamed chicken and bean sprout namul" was a perfect match for the alcohol. And the final dish was the Morioka cold noodles. Delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I don't go here often, but I come occasionally. After 9 o'clock, it gets crowded like a lively club, but before that, it's nice and quiet, which I enjoy (laughs). I don't know how often they change the menu, but every time I come, they have new delicious dishes. This time, the dish similar to peperoncino, sardines with plum and shiso, and potato salad were delicious. The classic fried chicken is a must-have. And the cold noodles from Koshigaya were also delicious. Just a heads up, it's not a place for budget drinking. Spending around 4000-5000 yen should satisfy you. If you want to keep costs down, I recommend the Mega Hoppy.

Standing bar in Shirokanetakanawa. Visited for dinner on a holiday. Rare to see a standing bar in the Shirokanetakanawa area. The interior is bright. The crowd is young and lively. Payment is made when ordering. Cash or PayPay is accepted.
[Food]
- Fried chicken: A large portion.
- Koshu wine beef tendon stew: Clear soup. Sprinkle shichimi togarashi.
- Jumbo gyoza: Crispy and chewy skin. Yuzu pepper.
[Drinks]
- Natural orange wine
Despite being a standing bar, all the dishes are delicious. It's more of a lively drinking place than a quiet one.

Standing bars are really great, aren't they? In this area, there are a lot of stylish ones popping up, but the old-fashioned, down-to-earth places are making a comeback here and there. Well, this place strikes a good balance between trendy and traditional standing bars. This time, I tried the fried chicken (600 yen). Oh man, it was so juicy and the burst of meat juice when you take a bite is just irresistible. The drinks are a bit pricey, like the mega highball for 1300 yen. Well, the rent around here is high, so it's understandable. Maybe I should try the Hoppy next time for a cheaper and quicker buzz. Give the fried chicken a try!

☆Shirokanetakanawa Station☆ I visited a standing bar called Rantoran that started serving craft beer and their specialty "Shirokan Fried Chicken". They also have a new recommended sour drink with ponzu, which may be good for your health due to its sourness. The new menu includes Shirokan Fried Chicken with optional seasoning choices, which was delicious. Just be careful because it comes in a size starting from 300 grams. You might also want to try the Chicken Nanban with garlic tartar sauce (600 yen). Thank you for the meal.

☆Shirokanetakanawa Station☆ I visited this standing bar for craft beer and organic wine on a Saturday evening when it was not too crowded. I tried the Watermelon Sour made with watermelon sherbet, which was cold, sweet, refreshing, and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I finally got to visit the restaurant I was looking forward to. It's a quite small store. It's a lovely place that exudes a stylishness that is different from the typical old man standing bar. The signature dish, red wine stew, was delicious as I had imagined. I had Hoppy, then another round, and finished with bottled beer. The menu is diverse, and I look forward to coming back in the future.

I heard from a friend that there is a standing bar in Shirokanetakanawa, and it has a modern concrete exterior. I decided to visit the place with some friends after work. When we arrived, we found a stylish standing bar with lots of paper strips hanging. We ordered some beer and enjoyed some kale chips as a snack. They also had a selection of craft beers, but we opted for red wine instead. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were friendly. It was a short but enjoyable visit, and I look forward to going back to try more items from their kale menu. It was a pleasant surprise to find a standing bar near a train station, and I will definitely visit again!

Standing bar izakaya located in Shirokanedai. Visited Zero. Since it was early, there were no other customers. They operate on a cash-on style system, but you can also use PayPay. Started with a red hoppy set, homemade kale chips, and red wine stewed beef tendon with bread. The homemade kale chips were crispy with a hint of salt, not too bitter, making it a perfect snack. The red wine stewed beef tendon was on the sweeter side, so I added shichimi spice. Refilled my hoppy quickly and chose quail pickles from the side dish zone. This also paired well with the alcohol, and the hoppy was gone in no time. Since the main event was a bit of a distance away, it's time to move on from here.

I revisited the restaurant a week after my first visit! It's still easy to get into, and the fact that they accept PayPay makes it convenient! This time, I ordered red wine braised beef tendon, kale chips, and stir-fried pork and kale stamina dish. The kale chips were perfect as a snack with alcohol, seasoned just right! The stir-fried pork and kale stamina dish was a mix of pork and kale, and surprisingly the bitterness of the kale matched well. The red wine braised beef tendon had a rich flavor and was quite good. However, I wish there was a bit more meat in it. It would be great for those who like offal, but I would be happier with a bit more regular meat. There are still many items on the menu to try, so I will definitely be coming back!

Last year, around the end of the year, a rare "standing bar" opened here in Shirokanetakanawa! Another drinking establishment has been added to the Fish Blue Sakashita area. It's a glass-fronted place, so you can immediately feel the lively atmosphere inside. Quite a few people were there. While they do offer plenty of down-to-earth drinks, this is Minato Ward. This is Shirokanetakanawa. They also offer craft beer and even have "kale" on the menu. There are also some "gourmet menu" items that are not just typical junk food. However, I stuck to my usual choices like natto omelette and black hoppy set, typical standing bar menu items! The hoppy set costs 400 yen (200 yen for a small glass), which is higher than the average at Shinbashi Market, but this is Shirokanetakanawa. Can't be helped. The food is quite substantial. Yodare chicken - moist thigh meat topped with a chili sauce. It's light but very satisfying. Fried horse mackerel - a generous portion with small horse mackerel on top of tartar sauce. Rather than the horse mackerel, it was the tartar sauce with plenty of ginger that left an impression. I liked it. This tartar sauce. Seared cured mackerel - I'm not a big fan of cured mackerel, but the fatty fish with the searing process really enhanced the flavor. Natto omelette - as delicious as expected. This will surely become a staple. The staff are young, energetic, and always smiling. Excellent customer service. I was uplifted by their energy. I'll definitely come back!

Cash-on is a standing bar stand that opened in Shirokanedai. They offer a wide range of drinks from organic wine and rare craft beers to sours and hoppy. The snacks are all delicious, with a touch of extra effort put into each one, all at a very affordable price. The highly recommended dish is the water dumplings topped with cilantro, which I believe had lamb meat in it. Despite the small number of staff members, the service is impeccable, with everyone making sure that all customers have a great time. I think this attention to service is the main reason why this place is so popular.

I visited the restaurant shortly after it opened, so there may be improvements in the future, but I will review it as it is now. It is a rare standing-style izakaya in the Shirokanetakanawa area. The fishan slope bus stop on the Toei bus route is very close by. The restaurant was crowded, with many regular customers. The food menu ranges from 300 to 700 yen. We ordered from the cheapest menu to the most expensive and unique ones. Since the drinks were busy, we ordered a bottled beer to ease the load on the staff. Although the medium-sized bottle in a standing bar was priced at 650 yen, we had high hopes for the food. For snacks, we selected cheese marinated in soy sauce and nagaimo (Chinese yam) marinated in soy sauce, both priced at 300 yen. The nagaimo was served about 10 minutes later, which felt a bit slow for a simple dish. The taste was quite good. The cheese arrived 15 minutes after ordering. We also ordered the Wagyu beef carpaccio for 700 yen, the most expensive item on the menu, but it took 26 minutes to be served. However, the quality was not great, with small, thinly sliced pieces of meat that were tough and poorly seasoned. It was a disappointment. We also ordered the unique menu item, "Peyang natto," but it was not served, and the kitchen staff were seen chatting with regular customers instead of preparing orders. It took about 30 minutes for it to be served, and it turned out to be a small portion for 400 yen. The waiting time was long, and we ended up spending nearly an hour there. Standing for a long time made our legs tired. It might be best to stick to a 300 yen menu item and a drink for a balanced experience. With improved operations in the hall and kitchen, the comfort level may increase. I look forward to seeing improvements in the future.

This is where I first tried Ponzu Sour and I liked it. The food is also delicious, and it's a casual standing bar where you can easily drop in.

There is a standing bar that also offers craft beer. The garlic tartare is delicious and perfect for a quick drink. Payment is easy with PayPay each time you order. They have a wide variety of craft beers, making it a fun place to visit. The only downside is that the glass for draft beer can sometimes smell a bit musty.

There wasn't a shop like this in the area, but that's fine. The appetizers start at 300 yen. These kale chips seem like a simple menu item, but they seem good for the body. The taste is salty, light, and delicious.
