Four of us entered a Monjayaki restaurant in Tsukishima as a group! We wanted to go to a nice place, so we decided to check out "Maguroya" which we had heard good things about. Since we all love alcohol, we ordered a course meal which included 2 types of Monjayaki, 2 types of Okonomiyaki, premium Tuna steak, Yakisoba, and a 2-hour all-you-can-drink option for 3800 yen, which was a great deal! If we had ordered individually, it would have been more expensive, so this was a steal. We all left satisfied. Personally, I had the image that Monjayaki restaurants were more traditional, but this place completely changed my perception. It was so stylish and classy, perfect for a date with a girlfriend. I wanted to impress her by cooking well. Even though it was still early evening, there were already about 3 couples there and it was fully booked. It seems like there is a new revolution happening in the world of Monjayaki. I will definitely come back again!

Italian-style Monja with tuna and ginger topping was surprisingly delicious. Before that, we had grilled clams, a simple Monja with plum, pork, and garlic, and finished with red bean paste wrapped in a vanilla ice cream topping. We thoroughly enjoyed the Monja experience! After beer, lemon sour is a must. When eating Monja, I always crave lemon sour or oolong high. I occasionally visit the main store, but this was my first time here and I found it more comfortable.

On a Saturday night around 6:30 pm, we managed to get a table without a reservation at this restaurant. We had seafood teppanyaki, cheers with two beers each, "maguro negi" and "mentaiko mochi cheese" monjayaki, plum and lime chu-hi, and finished with grilled chicken liver and butter on the teppan. I had three drinks and the total bill was a little over 4,000 yen. The tuna was delicious, and all the dishes were tasty! The second floor had tatami seating and the air conditioning was nice and cool, making it a great place to enjoy delicious monjayaki.

It was a large group, but we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and had a pleasant dining experience! The Monja was delicious, and two recommended dishes were especially tasty. We were intrigued by the name of the restaurant and also ordered sashimi, and were surprised by the quality of the tuna. It was as juicy as Otoro.

Third visit to Tsukishima. Due to the rarity of tuna, decided to visit a tuna specialty restaurant. The photos show tuna and shirasu monjayaki, as well as natto curry baby star cheese monjayaki. Cooking tuna on a hot plate itself is a fresh experience, and being able to enjoy the process of cooking and eating is fun. The addition of shirasu and sakura shrimp as hidden flavors works well, and topping it with seaweed is also good. The natto monjayaki had too many ingredients, but the curry flavor was strong. I wanted to add pickled ginger, but overall, the variety of toppings made me satisfied.

A place where you can eat monjayaki with tuna. The seafood, such as oyster teppanyaki, is also delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nostalgic, and it's a perfect place to enjoy monjayaki slowly with good friends. If you don't know how to cook it, the staff will help you. Thank you.

A Monja-yaki restaurant located a 3-minute walk from Tsukishima Station in Tokyo. In addition to Monja-yaki, they offer a wide variety of dishes including fresh seafood directly from Tsukiji Market nearby. The "Sakai Special Monja" from "Maguroya" with mochi and Baby Star costs 1950 yen. Surprisingly, they also offer sashimi like "Squid Sashimi" for 550 yen and "Bluefin Tuna Otoro" for 2500 yen. The Bluefin Tuna Otoro melts in your mouth and is incredibly delicious. Next, they serve a simple yet delicious dish of "Enoki and Shimeji Butter" for 800 yen and "Kalbi" for 1100 yen. The Kalbi, marbled with fat, is incredibly tasty. The Monja-yaki is a must-try, especially the "Sakai Special Monja" with additional toppings like mochi and Baby Star for 1950 yen. The Monja-yaki is cooked to perfection and bursting with flavors. Additionally, they offer a delicious Okonomiyaki for 650 yen. The dishes are full of flavor and the experience is enjoyable. The restaurant also has a signboard signed by the world-famous player, Shohei Ohtani, adding to the excitement of dining there.

Even though it's a Monjayaki restaurant, their specialties are "Bluefin Tuna Cheek" and "A5 Wagyu Sirloin". The prices are a bit high, but being close to Tsukiji, the quality is top-notch. When you want to impress someone a little more upscale, this place is a great choice. The fact that they have autographs from famous people like Ohtani and former prime ministers adds to the appeal. It's not your typical flour-based Monjayaki, but more focused on the ingredients. Perfect for those who want a Monjayaki with substantial fillings. It's a restaurant that will leave you satisfied!

I came to Monja Street in Tsukishima over 10 years ago. My daughter had been wanting to come for a long time, but we couldn't due to the spread of COVID-19. Finally, her wish came true and we had three types of monja, apricot and red bean paste rolls, and some alcoholic drinks. The name of this restaurant is Maguroya, and as the name suggests, they have monja with tuna in it. We started with the tuna and green onion monja. I think I didn't do it right as there were quite large pieces of tuna. It's better to cut the fish into smaller pieces either before cooking or after it's slightly cooked to get rid of the fishy smell and make it tastier. The red bean paste rolls are difficult to cook, so they cook it for you. Ohtani, who is currently shining, also visited the restaurant. I wonder what he ate! On Friday nights, it's difficult to get in without a reservation.

I took a foreigner to a restaurant and ordered Monja and Okonomiyaki yakisoba. They were delighted with the Ramune and shaved ice. They also liked the Monja. The staff were very kind and attentive.

★Monjayaki with Kamatoro and Red Ginger + Yakisoba (Pork) + Pork Kimchi Cheese (Okonomiyaki)★I ordered the rumored tuna-topped monjayaki with Kamatoro cut-offs, green onions, grated ginger, topped with red ginger! The Kamatoro cut-offs were quite large and chunky, and the fresh tuna on top was tender and had a strong presence. The seafood dashi flavor was also very good, and it was truly delicious. The yakisoba was delicious as well, with just the right amount of sauce and thin noodles that I liked. The Pork Kimchi Cheese okonomiyaki had plenty of kimchi and cheese, with just a hint of spiciness. It would have been nice if it was a bit spicier! I enjoyed it with half soy sauce and half sauce-mayo. It was also delicious to eat them separately! There are many other monjayaki restaurants I want to visit, so if anyone wants to join me, please do! There are two locations, the main store and the Tsukishima Nishi-Nakamise store, and this time the main store was full, so I visited the Tsukishima Nishi-Nakamise store!

Visited Tsukishima with my wife for lunch. Tried to find a place to eat monjayaki but everywhere had long lines. Saw Ohtani Shohei's autograph and decided on Maguroya. Waited about 30 minutes to get in. Ordered seafood grill, Sakai Special (monjayaki), yakisoba, draft beer, cola. It was almost our first time trying monjayaki, so we watched how to cook it and enjoyed the meal.

☆On the last day of the 3-day weekend, I decided to enjoy some sightseeing around Tsukiji and Tsukishima while having a meal, so I visited "Maguroya Nishinakaten" restaurant.★Dishes we ordered・Squid sashimi・Scallops with butter sauce・Monja-yaki (Sakai Special)★Drinks we had・Draft beer (Asahi Super Dry)・Lemon sour☆I have cooked Monja-yaki a few times myself, but this time I wanted to learn the proper way to make delicious Monja, so I asked the staff to cook it for us. The taste was exceptional. The staff explained the process while cooking, such as how to transfer the ingredients to the iron plate, how to chop the ingredients, how to create a levee, and how to pour the broth. I'm glad I had the opportunity to learn. I look forward to trying to cook Monja-yaki myself next time!

I met up with my senior colleague at Tsukishima after a long time. We ate monjayaki and then parted ways, but we had a fun conversation. Daruma-san is famous in Tsukishima, known as the holy land of monjayaki, and it was fully booked. We ate plenty of seafood dishes and enjoyed our meal. It was a shame that they didn't have Hoppy. The Sakai Special, Italian Special, Tuna Butter, and other unique dishes were delicious. There are so many unusual options that you might not get tired of it!

A friend who has started taking care of their elderly parents who live far away was upset when they found out that their monthly bills were automatically set to be paid in installments without their consent. The person who convinced them to sign up for this service only mentioned that it would be a good deal at the beginning, but failed to inform them that they would end up paying unnecessary amounts if they didn't cancel the service after the promotional period. Timing is crucial in these situations. Speaking of timing, the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona has been under construction for over 100 years and is set to be completed around the 100th anniversary of the architect Gaudi's death. Back in Osaka, a friend from there always says, "You never know when it will be finished," when referring to a local delicacy. So, for dinner tonight, we decided to have monjayaki, a type of Japanese pancake. A former colleague who used to work in the same sales department with us left the company, moved to Osaka, changed jobs, and came back to Tokyo. We all decided to meet up at Maguroya, a popular restaurant chain. We went to the Maguroya Tsukishima Nishinaka branch. We started with a dish that contained mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and mochi (rice cake). The City Boys seemed impressed by the way we lightly stir-fried the ingredients and created a mound to pour into the hot plate. Next, we enjoyed grilled tuna, which was pre-seasoned with sauce, giving it a simple yet delicious flavor. We also had Baby Star monjayaki, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba. Some of our group members struggled with cooking on the hot plate, but all the dishes went well with drinks. The all-you-can-drink option for 3800 yen was a good deal, but we ended up going to two more places afterward, so who knows when this gathering will truly end.

The personal impression of the Monjayaki restaurant in Tsukishima was not very good in terms of atmosphere and service, but this time everything was completely overturned. Firstly, the staff were very polite. I felt like I wanted to go back again. I ordered the Sakai Special Monjayaki and Oyster Yaki. The Monjayaki was seasoned on the stronger side, which went well with beer. The oysters were large and satisfying to eat. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again next time!!

I visited "Maguroya" after a long time. I had dinner on a holiday with friends. The cost was around $50 to $60. I tried various dishes such as Maguro Negi (monja) with tuna and green onions, Mentaiko Mochi Cheese (monja) with spicy cod roe and cheese, Buta Kimchi Cheese (monja) with pork kimchi and cheese, Natto (monja) with tuna, shank, and green onions, Tako Butter with octopus in butter flavor, and Enoki Shimeji Butter with enoki and shimeji mushrooms in butter. The atmosphere was clean with tables on the first floor and tatami rooms on the second floor. The service was a bit cold, but it didn't bother me much. The overall cost performance was good. I would like to visit this restaurant regularly.

The main store is located down a narrow alley, but this branch is easy to find on Monja Street and is not too crowded, so you can feel free to visit. As the name suggests, Maguroya offers Maguro Monja on the menu, but they also have a variety of other dishes available, so it's recommended to eat what you like without feeling pressured. I ended up ordering the Maguro Monja, but they provide detailed instructions on how to cook it right on the table, so even beginners can enjoy it without worry. Although I didn't order it this time, I think it's worth trying the Anko Roll dessert at least once. One notable thing is the high return rate on their stamp card. After one visit, you usually accumulate enough points for a 500 yen discount on your next visit, which makes you want to come back again. Despite that, it's a conscientious restaurant where you can leave satisfied every time without getting tired of the taste.

When you don't know where to go for a meal, it can be hard to decide what to wear. But since I knew we were going to have monjayaki that day, I opted for comfortable clothes - a blouse that can be easily washed and doesn't mind picking up smells. It was my first time trying monjayaki in Tsukishima, and it was quite exciting. We went to a place called Maguroya, so I thought I should try the tuna, but ended up having scallops, oysters, and butter-fried instead. It seems like monjayaki is best enjoyed with three or four people, as the portions are quite generous for two. We had a seafood okonomiyaki with a bit of tuna, and finished with a pork and kimchi monja. It was my friend's first time trying monjayaki, and she let the staff do the cooking because she wasn't confident. It was amazing! The pork and kimchi monja was a great choice. I loved the crispy edges. I can't wait to come back with a group of friends once the pandemic is over, so we can try more varieties together.

I made a reservation for the bamboo course because I wanted to eat fatty tuna for lunch. It was my first time eating fatty tuna, and it was delicious with the fat. However, I was satisfied after just 2 or 3 pieces. The grilled oysters in foil were plump and the pork tongue was thick and the kalbi was tender and delicious. We also had okonomiyaki, but it was a bit difficult to cook ourselves. The cabbage was cut into squares, so it was especially difficult to chop finely with a spatula. I wonder if they would have done it if I had asked... We had okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and flour dishes for the full course, and finished with anko rolls! I was quite full. Thank you for the meal.

I came to Tsukishima after a long time, so I made a reservation at this monjayaki restaurant for lunch. I sometimes eat monjayaki in places other than Tsukishima, but it just tastes better here. It's hard to say what exactly sets it apart from other monjayaki, but I think the atmosphere and the feeling of being in Tsukishima play a part in making it taste so good. Among all the options, my favorite was the mentaiko cheese monjayaki. I also enjoyed the curry monjayaki. Lastly, I had some yakisoba to finish off the meal. Everything was delicious. I definitely want to come back again.
