Visited on a weekend afternoon with a group of 4. We made a reservation just in case, and it was a good decision as the restaurant was almost full. The way from the station was a bit confusing, but the lunch set with free-flowing drinks was delicious and worth it. There is also a la carte menu, but the lunch set with drink bar + appetizer + main course (pasta, paella, risotto, etc.) is more cost-effective than ordering individual items. For an additional ¥200, you can also add a dessert. It was a bit disappointing that we didn't get any bread even though it's a bakery, but the homemade thick noodles were delicious.

The restaurant operates on a one-drink order system for dine-in customers. You order at the counter and then get seated at a table. They also offer a lunch menu, but it can be pricey, so you can opt to buy bread from the bakery next door and order just one drink for a lunch under 700-1000 yen. Window seats are popular and may require reservations. If you prefer, there are benches and outdoor seating available, which can be nice on a sunny day. It's a great spot for a break during a walk or jog.

A restaurant a short walk from Shin-Toyosu, known for its affiliated bakery. For lunch, you can choose from pasta, salad, and more, with unlimited drinks and bread. Prices range from 1580 to 2500 yen. I ordered the salad lunch for the unlimited bread. The warm soup and hearty salad were delicious, especially the carrot dressing! You can reheat the bread in the toaster. It's a great place for families to relax.

I went for a morning walk at La Vista Tokyo Bay and decided to have breakfast there. When I arrived, I found out that they only offered a drink bar, which I thought wouldn't give me the full experience. So, I decided to go to this other place that opened at 9 am. As soon as they opened, I went in and chose a tomato and olive bread (170 yen) and a cafe Americano (460 yen). I enjoyed the bread first while waiting for my coffee. I sat on the terrace and could hear the sounds of students from Shibaura Kogyo High School and see the amphibious bus waiting for customers to be washed. It was lively with people walking their dogs and kids playing around. The bread was soft with a nice aroma of olives and oil, and the dried tomatoes added a nice touch of acidity and flavor. The coffee arrived, and it was a classic Americano made by diluting espresso. It had a strong bitterness that paired well with the sweetness of the beans. It was a great morning. Thank you for the meal.

This was my first visit for lunch. It is located about a 10-minute walk from Toyosu Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, towards the Shintoyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line. I had seen this restaurant online before, but hesitated to visit as there were no other dining options nearby. On this day, I had some time to spare so I walked for 10 minutes from Toyosu. It is located in a commercial facility called Canal Place TOYOSU, with only this restaurant and a Lawson store and an animal hospital nearby. It seems to be built for the residents of the adjacent tower apartments. I didn't check, but it doesn't seem to have parking, so access by car might be difficult. The restaurant has a cafe and a bakery, with bread displayed on the left and the cafe on the right. Although it is a cafe, they offer a variety of lunch options such as pasta, pizza, and sandwiches. I ordered the "Linguine with Shrimp, Tomato, and Arugula in Lemon Butter Sauce (with drink bar, salad, and soup)" for 1,580 yen. The salad was average, but the white mushroom soup was rich and delicious. The linguine was cooked al dente, with four tasty shrimp. Despite being a cafe, the quality of the food was high. The name of the restaurant is Onthecanal, but it is actually Canalside. It is a bit far from Toyosu Station, with fewer people and a nice atmosphere along the canal. On a sunny day, dining on the terrace would be a delightful experience.

Stopped by for a break on the way back from strolling around the park. I had been curious about this place for a while, but didn't realize it was tucked away behind Shibataka. The cafe along the canal had an average view. I relaxed while gazing at the Blanz Tower in front of me. They asked if my daughter's milk should be warm, which was nice. The cafe latte was okay. The drinks were a bit pricey. The bread was cheap! The rice flour and pumpkin bread was pleasantly sweet and fluffy, very delicious. I'd like to come back again.

I have always wanted to visit this restaurant. They have a terrace seat, and the interior is bright, clean, and stylish. From the terrace, you can see the view of buildings such as apartments and hospitals across the Toyosu Canal, making it feel open and spacious. I went there for brunch, but I would like to try their lunch, cafe time, and morning menu as well! It's a great place to work alone or have a fun conversation with friends or family ☺︎

New Toyosu... There is literally nothing there, not even a coffee shop. So, I found a place called "On the Canal" a little further away. It's in a newer part of town, with an exterior that looks like a stylish marine sports shop. Inside, it's quite spacious, with half of it being a shop and the other half a coffee shop. The shop mainly sells bread, with some baked goods and pudding as well. The bread is on the smaller side, with popular varieties on display. They are well-crafted and taste delicious, just as expected. I had pudding and iced coffee inside, and they tasted just as I had imagined. However, it's more of a fast-food style where you have to carry your own items and clean up after yourself. There aren't many seats, so I think it would be nice if the staff could assist with that. It's a trendy space where you can relax and enjoy the passing time. Locals must love such places. While there may not be many opportunities to visit New Toyosu, if you ever have the chance, I highly recommend stopping by for a cozy experience.

Koto Ward Lunch Stroll Story #86 or also known as the Cafe Stroll Story. Why? Because recently, I haven't been getting enough cafe vibes at all. Sometimes you need to take in some fancy air! Riverside Bakery Cafe in Toyosu-New Toyosu (along the Higashi-Shinonome Canal) is right on the canal. It's named that way probably because it's located in the Canal Place Toyosu complex commercial facility. Quite literal, isn't it? By the way, the bakery "Per E Mer" and the patisserie "SAKURA" in Toyosu are related. Naturally, compared to those two, this place has fewer types of bread and pastries, but instead offers deli-style items like a cafe. During lunch and dinner times, you can enjoy the chef's Italian-inspired dishes. However, on this day, I visited at a very awkward time (around 3:30 pm), so I only ordered 3 types of bread and a drink. But it's nice that they offer light meals throughout the day. - Coffee Tragia Blend Ice ¥418 - Salt Bread ¥108 - Muscat Raisin Roll ¥130 - Toyosu Market Direct Delivery Shirasu Focaccia ¥260 Prices include tax. Oh? Except for coffee, the prices were listed for takeout. I calculated ¥916, but it ended up being ¥924. The coffee was decently strong, with a slightly rough texture and a good flavor. The salt bread was a bit too salty and the dough seemed a bit deflated. The Muscat Roll, with juicy muscat soaked in orange liqueur, was quite tasty. The Focaccia was oily like Peperoncino, with a flavorful anchovy taste. The oily part in the center was particularly delicious. Overall, the quality was satisfactory, but the sadness of them being a bit cold was unavoidable. It would be nice if they lightly reheated them since I was dining in. The service was good, with the staff bringing the water jug for self-service and allowing us to leave the dishes at the table. They also accept various electronic payments, which is convenient. Enjoying the view of Showa Dai-Toyosu Hospital across the river, soaking in the Western moody BGM. Just the right amount of fancy vibes that are so typical of Koto Ward, making me smile. I don't even notice the nearby high-rise buildings.

On this day, I visited the areas around Toyosu, Shin-Toyosu, Ariake, Aomi, Samezu, and Oimachi. I walked from Toyosu Station to get there. Near Shin-Toyosu Station, there is a bakery called "On The Canal". It has a wonderful location overlooking the Toyosu Canal. The place is a winner. It's impossible not to be stylish here. Next, in Toyosu, there is a bakery called "Pelle et Mer". It is part of the same group as the patisserie "SAKURA" in Toyosu. Compared to "Pelle et Mer", this place has a stronger cafe aspect, with over half of the store being a cafe space. The cafe is glass-walled, allowing the sunlight to come in brightly, providing a high-quality space where you can elegantly enjoy the view of the Toyosu Canal. The variety of bread is less than "Pelle et Mer", but they also sell salads, which "Pelle et Mer" does not. The bread lineup is exactly the same as "Pelle et Mer". I had the following items: - Bacon and egg milk bread with bacon on top. The bread is flat and thin. The bacon is not fried. It has a subtle saltiness, perfect for breakfast. - Two cheese buns with red cheddar cheese and natural cheese. There is gooey cheese in the center. It's best when warmed up and melted. - Melon bread, a classic melon bread. It has a soft texture, light sweetness, and a yellow color. - Spicy cod roe ficelle using Yama-ya's spicy cod roe. The baguette dough is slightly soft, and the cod roe flavor is strong. It can be a main dish with its rich flavor. Due to time constraints, I had to take out the food, but it seems like the real charm of this place is in using it as a cafe. Thank you for the meal!

I went for lunch with high expectations based on reviews. The restaurant, which also houses a bakery, was quite casual. The lunch options included a daily pasta and pizza for 1400 yen, a salad lunch for 1680 yen, and drinks and salads were not included and had to be ordered separately at a relatively high price, which was surprising. The place wasn't very crowded, with only about half of the tables occupied, but I had to wait for 40 minutes until the food was served. It would have been nice if they had informed me in advance that lunch would take longer. The pasta and pizza were decent, nothing extraordinary. Considering the price and location, I wasn't particularly satisfied. It's not bad by any means.

Toyosu Gururi Park - I think this shop was developed relatively recently along with the new condominiums. It's hard to imagine a bakery in such a place. Not a resident of the condominiums or someone who happens to pass by. I first learned about this shop shortly after Toyosu Market was established. During one of my visits to the market, I stopped by the observation floor and saw a walkway along the canal. When I actually went to that place, I found out that it was Toyosu Gururi Park, a promenade. It's a course that goes around Toyosu Market from behind Lalaport Toyosu, with the endpoint being the location of this shop. The course is 4.8km long, and half of it offers a good view, so many people are seen enjoying walks, jogging, cycling, fishing, etc. Recently, I often ride my bike around instead of walking, and I found this shop for the first time when I circled around. Since then, whenever I pass by this route, I often stop by here. All of them have a good appearance, and it's a well-made shop in this neighborhood. There is usually a cafe attached, and it seems that you can also enjoy dishes such as pasta and meat dishes.

Around midday on a weekday in March, the weather was starting to warm up and the terrace seating was becoming comfortable. Children were outside enjoying their bread. Inside the restaurant, there were many types of bread for sale, and there was a cafe area at the back. I ordered the Fresh Salad D'ailleurs Lunch (soup, drink, bread included) for 1,680 yen excluding tax for dining in. After about five minutes, a platter of three types of bread was served. The first one was warm focaccia, which I enjoyed with olive oil. The second one was a bacon and cheese bread with plenty of sesame seeds and poppy seeds. It had two types of cheese, with a strong cheddar flavor. The third one was a whole wheat walnut bread, soft and not as dense as it looked. Next, the soup was served, a regular vegetable soup with potatoes, carrots, zucchini, and cabbage. The main course, the Salad D'ailleurs, was satisfying with spring vegetables cooked in plenty of oil. The soft bamboo shoots, the bitterness of taranome and fukinotou, and the generous amount of mussels were highlights. The crunchiness of snap peas added a touch of spring. The yellow dressing had a crab flavor. The post-meal coffee was a regular pre-made coffee. After 12:00, the restaurant became crowded with many customers, mostly ordering bread for takeout. The ambiance was nice, but the prices were a bit high. Overall, it was a delicious meal.

On a holiday at 8:30 am, after finishing running at Toyosu Gururi Park, I bought breakfast here. This place is run by the same management as Sakura-ya in Toyosu. They had the Sakura Pudding that I bought at Sakura the other day, and it was delicious. I bought the following items: - Mountain Bread (280 yen)... I lightly toasted it and ate it. It's normal but delicious. - Curry Bread (200 yen)... Yes, the curry flavor is strong and delicious. - Melon Bread (150 yen)... The typical melon bread. It's been a while since I had it, so it was delicious. The outside was crispy. There is also an eat-in space inside the store, and I would like to sit by the window, drink coffee, and enjoy the bread.

I went to lunch but it was full. I only bought a bun. Salt bun for 100 yen, chocolate croissant for 180 yen, orange roll with 3 pieces for 260 yen. The photo is of the orange roll. The salt bun had a mild salt taste. The chocolate croissant had a chewy texture with plenty of chocolate. It was a very satisfying dish. The orange roll had a chewy and fluffy dough. The prices were reasonable considering it's near a luxury apartment in Toyosu.

On a Sunday evening, I was looking for a place to have a drink at Lalaport, but couldn't find a suitable spot. I remembered a cafe I had seen online before and decided to give it a try. They warned me that there might be a one-hour wait due to Happy Hour and families having dinner, but I still wrote my name on the reservation board. While picking out some bread from the adjacent bakery (which was allowed to bring in), I was seated in about 20 minutes. The atmosphere was casual and stylish, like a cafeteria. Most of the tables were occupied by families from nearby apartments, but it was not noisy at all. I ordered a Happy Hour draft beer and used the bread I bought as a snack. The bread was delicious and reasonably priced. The cafe had a nice view of the canal, but for some reason, it lacked a special feeling. It felt like they could have done more with the wood deck area and the large windows. Overall, it was a nice place, but it felt like it had more potential.

Before going to teamLab Planets, I had lunch at Canal, which is named after the nearby canal. I imagined it would be a light meal since it's a bakery, but they had hearty meat dishes like chicken thigh and pork loin. I ordered the chicken thigh and pork loin mains, which came with bread, salad, and a drink for around 1500 yen, I think. The bread was all-you-can-eat, with various types of small bread to try. The sauces for the mains were both like hamburger sauce.

[Purchase] - Rum fig and cream cheese 230 + tax - Fruit nuts 350 + tax [Entering the store] Around 5 pm on weekdays, from Toyosu Station, go straight along the Yurikamome Line for about 5 minutes. From Yurikamome Shin-Toyosu Station, also go straight along the Yurikamome Line for about 5 minutes. Enter Toyosu Rokuchome Second Park and continue straight for a while, and you will come out to Toyosu Canal as shown in the first photo. Right in front of it, you will find a store named "On The Canal". It has a cafe inside and can accommodate about 20 people. It was not too crowded in the evening on weekdays, and there were still some bread left. The hard type fruit nuts sandwich includes nuts such as almonds, walnuts, and raisins. It was delicious after reheating. The rye sourness was not very strong. The rum fig and cream cheese sandwich is made with a bread similar to ciabatta, filled with rum figs and cream cheese, topped with sesame seeds. The bread was soft, and the texture of sesame seeds was quite good. They also serve dinner Italian dishes at night, so it might get lively in the evenings as well.

I visited after a long time. There were seats available in the cafe inside, but the terrace seemed quieter and more relaxed, so I chose to sit there. If you use the terrace, you can purchase drinks and pastries from the takeout counter. It was around 3 pm, past lunchtime, but the tables weren't cleared quickly, and the operation didn't seem very efficient. It seems like they are understaffed, so maybe it would be better to make the cafe a self-return system for dishes. It used to feel like a hidden gem, but with the nearby construction completed and a new Daiei opening soon, it looks like foot traffic will increase, and the relaxed atmosphere might diminish.
