This day was the World Cup match against Costa Rica. The kickoff was at 7:00 PM, so I didn't want to wait to eat until it was over and risk getting hungry and losing focus while watching. I decided to buy some sushi as a light snack to eat while watching, so I went to this shop in the Nishiguchi Sunrise shopping street. I used to visit this place occasionally before, but there are more options for takeout sushi in this area now, so this was my first visit in a few years. It was around 6:00 PM when I went, and it seemed like many others had the same idea because there were fewer types of sushi rolls than usual. There was no cucumber roll or natto roll. So, I ended up buying three thin rolls of tekka maki, negitoro maki, and kanpyo maki. I went back home, had a second beer while waiting for kickoff, and then switched to highballs. Sushi rolls were the perfect choice as I couldn't take my eyes off the soccer game for a moment. The taste was not bad either. When it comes to thin rolls, I think it was better than the major conveyor belt sushi chains or Umejigaoka chains. However, the wrong move was the unexpected goal against us in the 36th minute of the second half. After the game, I had planned to have a proper dinner, but my appetite disappeared, so I ended up just having a light snack and drinking before going to bed.

Just now, I enjoyed some kake ramen. On my way to Kamata Station through the arcade, I stumbled upon "Chiyoda Sushi" offering half-price takeaway sushi. I couldn't resist and ended up buying the following: Buri (yellowtail) - 390 yen, squid - 290 yen, live-shrimp eel - 390 yen, raw salmon - 390 yen, tuna sashimi - 390 yen. With the half-price discount of -925 yen, the total came to 999 yen including tax. I'm going to enjoy them at home right away. They are all fresh and delicious, but the buri and raw salmon were particularly tasty. Half-price deals are great! Much better than eating at a mediocre conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

I just got some sushi at Kyozutaru on the basement floor of Granduo, but I wanted more sushi, so I visited Chiyoda Sushi, a takeout-only chain store. I was aiming for the half-price discount. When I arrived at 9pm, it was not yet half price (only 30% off), so I walked around Kamata Arcade for a bit and when I came back, it was just in time for the half-price discount. Chiyoda Sushi offers Chio-Ori Sumire for 745 yen, Engawa for 421 yen, and half-price for 583 yen. Chio-Ori Sumire includes shrimp, egg, squid, salmon, green onion with fatty tuna, scallop, tuna, salmon roe, conger eel, and yellowtail. They were all fresh and delicious. The half-price discount was really worth it! It's better than going to a mediocre conveyor belt sushi place. Thank you for the meal!

Just enjoyed some delicious Omurice Katsu! While walking through the arcade in front of Kamata Station on my way to the station, I spotted a sushi place offering half-priced sushi! So I decided to visit "Chiyoda Sushi" for some breakfast (sort of). It's a takeout-only chain store. Here's what I bought: Tamago (egg) - 290 yen each, Ikura (salmon roe) - 390 yen each, Kanburi (winter yellowtail) - 390 yen each, Engawa (fluke fin) - 390 yen each, Hotate (scallop) - 390 yen each, and Fresh Salmon - 390 yen each. All at half price. I ended up eating half of them in the middle of the night (´▽`)ノ Everything was fresh and delicious! The half price deal made it more cost-effective than conveyor belt sushi. The sushi here is consistently tasty. Thank you for the meal! ☆

After eating ramen on the way home, I visited "Chiyoda Sushi" in the arcade in Kamata. This place is a chain restaurant that you often see near train stations! Actually, I stopped by here once before going for ramen, and it was still 30% off. I resisted and went for ramen, and when I came back, it was finally half off! That was close. There was one customer before me and there were 2 packs left, but the customer only took 1 pack, so I got the last one. Chio-Ougi (Chiyoda Sushi Roll) was 699 yen, and after the half off discount, it was 350 yen. I enjoyed it the next morning at my own risk! The ingredients were all fresh and didn't deteriorate even after some time. Sushi at 7:00 in the morning is great! I wish I could have eaten one more pack in terms of quantity. Thank you for the meal ☆

A takeout sushi restaurant located in an arcade near Kamata Station. It seems like they close at 10 PM as there were hardly any items left when I visited close to that time, and they were selling everything at half price. They were actively trying to attract customers. The egg sushi (tax included 299 yen) was half price, making it around 150 yen for a pack of 4. The rice had a subtle vinegar flavor, and the egg was sweet with a good taste. It had the same reliable deliciousness as the egg sushi you find at conveyor belt sushi restaurants. The discounted price made it a good deal.

This is a takeout sushi restaurant located in a shopping street at the west exit of Kamata Station. The store has a showcase-type refrigerator with products directly visible from the street, as there is no door for customers to enter the store. The shop is not very large in size, but it appears spacious due to its design. The menu mainly consists of nigiri sushi, with single portion packs being the main offering. Despite being located near the station, the shop also offers larger sets for two people, possibly due to the residential area a little further away from the station. The menu includes a variety of options, including single packs of sushi items. One recommended item is the "Chiyori Miyabi" (999 yen), a slightly luxurious single portion with tuna, sea urchin, and salmon roe. The tuna used in the sushi is of high quality with a rich flavor. Another recommended item is the "Grilled Mackerel Stick Sushi - Kin" (250 yen), which comes in two types - "Silver" and "Golden." The mackerel used is plentiful and of good quality, with the "Golden" version being grilled to reduce the fishy taste typical of mackerel. Both versions are well-made, but the "Silver" version has a stronger mackerel flavor. The mackerel stick sushi is a specialty of the restaurant and highly recommended.

This is a takeout sushi shop I discovered while walking around Kamata for errands. This time, I bought a natto roll for 210 yen. In terms of cost-performance, it's definitely cheap.
Vinegar flavor: 3
The vinegar flavor was just right, as usual. It was quite noticeable.
Rice: 3
The rice grains were standing firm, as usual.
Ingredients: 3
The natto was soft and sticky.

I walked from JR Kamata Station West Exit to an arcade street called Sanroad. Within 2 minutes from the arcade entrance on the right side, there is a takeout sushi chain store. In the evening, they have a time sale, and I couldn't resist trying their "bintcho maguro tekka maki for 210 yen", which caught the eye of a tipsy old man with an empty stomach. On top of that, it was 30% off from the regular price, making it even more appealing. Even at the regular price, it was a good deal considering the standards in Kamata, but with the discount, it was hard to resist. The taste was just average, and I felt like they didn't really need to offer it at a discounted price.

On this day, I bought sushi at Chiyoda Sushi. I purchased three items: two kinds of assorted sashimi with black condiments, a summer seasonal assortment, and a tuna and pickled radish roll. I used a little bit of the black condiments, which was spicier than black shichimi. There were many refreshing sushi options, and they were quite delicious.

Located just a 4-minute walk from Kamata Station, this restaurant is tucked away in a shopping street not too far from the station. I visited on a Sunday around 5pm, and they were already offering discounts of 10% to 20%, making it feel like a good deal. I ordered sushi and rolls on this day. Both were delicious and satisfying.

As I was casually walking through the city at night, I stumbled upon a nostalgic sushi restaurant! It reminded me of the one that used to be in Akebonobashi where I used to live. It was just before closing time and they were offering everything at half price, so I decided to buy some to take home! The quality was surprisingly high for a takeout, which is a testament to the delicious food you can find in Edo.

After leaving the previous shop, I stopped by a restaurant outside of the scope of Tabelog and decided to have some noodles at Mitsuyado Seimen. It was a little past 10 PM on a weekday as I walked through the Sunrise Kamata Arcade. From this shop, I heard a voice saying, "Right now, everything is half off," and I couldn't resist checking it out. This place is a take-out only sushi restaurant located in the Sunrise Kamata Arcade. Just a few shops down, there is also Shinbashi Shinoda Sushi, so it's a tough environment, but this shop is doing its best. There were quite a few sushi items displayed in front of the shop. So, I decided to get the Chiyori Nigiri and Datemaki & Inari (usually 899 yen, now 450 yen) and the Datemaki and Inari (usually 199 yen, now 99 yen). They even provided a cooling pack, so I felt comfortable stopping by another familiar shop before taking the sushi home. Both items had an expiration date of 3 AM the next morning, so I had plenty of time. They were both delicious. I used to admire the scene in an anime where a tipsy father brings home a sushi bento, and now I can do it affordably at this shop. Although the image of a tipsy father choosing half-priced sushi during a sale is a bit off-putting...
