I went without a reservation after 9 pm on Friday. The counter was almost full, but I was seated at a vacant counter seat. (There were empty seats in the back room.) The grilled dishes are cheap! The salted herring goes well with sake! The grilled rice balls came with miso soup!

Visited on a Sunday at 3:30 pm. Sat at the counter. By 4 pm, it was almost full. The counter has a great atmosphere, a bit warm but fun. Orders kept coming in and the food was being grilled. The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. The fish was good, and the tsukune was also nice. Cash only!

Today, I went on a company outing to Shinbashi for a hot summer party with my colleagues! If you're in Shinbashi, you have to go to Robata Musashi! We arrived early, but the restaurant was already full. Luckily, the manager managed to find us a table (;^∀^) We ordered skewers, yakitori, grilled squid, barbecue, and red sausages! Everything is grilled over charcoal, so it's deliciously fragrant! I wanted to try grilled fish, but unfortunately they were sold out due to it being a Saturday (tears). We also ordered grilled whole squid and squid with butter on foil. The sauce they use for their dishes is really tasty. It goes well with the grilled whole squid, which has a nice chewy texture! I tried the squid with butter for the first time, and it was amazing! We all drank a lot at a fast pace from the first restaurant (lol). It was less than 2 hours, but we had a great start to our hot summer party with delicious robata cuisine! Thank you for the meal!

Gathering around the hearth and drinking is so much fun. I love it. I also love how my face gets dry because the fire is close by. We went to a second bar in Shinbashi for some sake. The sashimi in the photo was around 1000 yen, and the grilled golden eye snapper was about 600 yen. The cost performance is great. As it is a hearth bar, the grilling of the food is excellent, and the concentrated flavor of the golden eye snapper goes well with sake. I think I'll come back when it gets colder.

As it was the fourth shop I visited, I couldn't order too many dishes, but the grilled hokke cooked on the hearth was excellent. There were also plenty of other options like meat and vegetables, making it a fun place just to look at the menu. I was able to get a seat around 5:30 PM without a reservation, but after 6:00 PM, the seats started to fill up quickly, so I recommend making a reservation or arriving early.

When I came to Shinbashi, I decided that I must visit the robatayaki restaurant, Musashi-san! I planned to visit it last as it opens at 4 pm, but it had changed to opening at 3 pm. Since I was at a standing bar nearby, I was able to go in without waiting! Shinbashi is a place where salarymen relax, so it can get quite crowded on weekends, but luckily I didn't have to wait long. Most of the menu items are priced at 310 yen, with a few at 450 yen and 500 yen! It's quite a cheap restaurant in Shinbashi. When I left, there were a few people waiting outside. The dishes are cooked by the grill master with care, and served using the long spatula, a specialty of robatayaki. This performance enhances the deliciousness of the food! Time flies by when you're enjoying the food and drinks with your eyes. It was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

I took a half day off in the afternoon and decided to have a light drink in Shinbashi. It was 4:40 PM and I wanted to choose a place before 5 PM when the salarymen crowd would start coming in. I chose this place because of its atmosphere and it looked inviting. There were about 10% of the seats taken and I was seated at the corner of the counter as I was alone. I ordered a Hoppy white set and chose some dishes. Most dishes were priced at 310 yen, which was quite cheap and they had a wide variety. I decided to choose one meat, one vegetable, and one fish dish. For meat, I had two pieces of grilled chicken with leeks. For vegetables, I had boiled spinach. For fish, I had horse mackerel. The dishes were cooked by an older man sitting in the counter area. The presentation was nice, with the dishes served on a large ladle. The food was delicious and the cost performance was excellent at only 310 yen per dish. Thank you for the meal.

I entered the restaurant around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and it was already full! I was seated in a slightly cramped tatami room in the back. I had a wheat shochu Genkai highball, which was strong and good! The stingray fin was flavorful and delicious! I think it would be even more enjoyable if I could sit at the counter next time I go!

The night in Shinbashi starts here again. It's a Friday night with new students or new working adults bustling around. I was lucky to find a seat at the counter, which felt like a hearth or a grill. The experienced old man behind the counter said, "Please finish in two hours during busy times!" There's no way you can eat and drink for two hours. I started with a draft beer. The appetizer was like bean sprout namul. I asked to have shiitake mushrooms and natto grilled. Then, a long spatula was handed to me. Crispy fried tofu. Hot natto when I took a bite. The shiitake mushrooms were small but flavorful. Satsuma-age. Scallops. Red Vienna sausages, which I never eat. Chicken skin with salt. The satsuma-age was unexpectedly large. The scallops were juicy. You should drink the broth left in the shell. The red Vienna sausages taste the same no matter what. But, they taste good when alternated with bell peppers. A luxurious feast! The chicken skin came in three pieces. Two draft beers and three lemon sours. And it only cost around 3000 yen. I stayed for 40 minutes. It was a relaxed atmosphere where you can eat and drink what you like without breaking the bank. That's the true happiness. I will definitely visit this place again. Full and satisfied~ (*´◒`*)

Visited the famous robatayaki restaurant Musashi. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon or early evening and miraculously found it empty. Despite our sudden visit with four people, we were able to experience the unique atmosphere of the place. Before we knew it, the restaurant was packed with people! For those who have never been, I hope you get to experience this one-of-a-kind space at least once.

In the extreme cold, the Lemon Sour didn't go down well at all. We quickly retreated. We wandered around Shinbashi. Every time we went, this place was always full and we couldn't get in. I consider that moment when I say "Oh!" as being invited to the restaurant. And on this day, I was finally invited to "Musashi" (^^) Robatayaki. There is a counter and a tatami area, but the counter is definitely recommended! There happened to be one seat available at the counter. The counter surrounds the grilling area. In the middle, the master, with a craftsman's skin in a yukata, sits up straight. His gaze is sharp. He looks stubborn. I ordered a draft beer. I looked at the menu. A simple menu. 282 yen (tax included 310 yen), 364 yen (tax included 400 yen), 454 yen (tax included 500 yen). The drinks are priced accordingly. There are plenty of seafood, skewers, and meat lined up around the counter. My excitement went through the roof, even though I hadn't started drinking yet, my breathing became rough. First, I had the ankimo (monkfish liver). The rich taste is irresistible. Grilled whole squid. Barbecue, negima salt, and other grilling menu items were lined up and grilled one after another. I sat up straight with my back straight, facing the squid, chicken skewers, and meat skewers lined up on the grill. The sizzling sound. Skilfully flipping them over. The live feeling, just watching the ingredients grill, is the best accompaniment. The smell of grilling, the rising smoke. The perfect grilling. On this day when I finished work in Chiba, I decided to go straight back to the site and have a drink with friends in Shinbashi after a long time. However, the restaurants I wanted to go to were all fully booked! What to do? I wandered around and found this restaurant, decided by the atmosphere I saw through the glass! Luckily, there was an empty seat at the counter when I entered the restaurant. There are also box seats and tatami rooms, but the counter is the most enjoyable when you come to this restaurant. Sitting at the counter in a horseshoe shape with the grill in the center, you can watch the food being cooked right in front of you, and when it's done, it comes out on a big ladle. Cheers with a draft beer, and ordered grilled dishes like beef tongue, shishito peppers, whelk, shrimp, and scallops. Also ordered tofu and ankimo. After a while, the dishes were served one after another on the ladle. However, the food here is cheap. With a wide variety of menu options, it's easy to get lost in choices (laughs). Thanks to the tray set on the table, it creates a strange atmosphere where you feel like you're eating on a tatami mat even though you're sitting on a chair. It's more about enjoying the atmosphere while drinking than the quality of the food! I ate and drank quite a bit, but it cost around 3000 yen per person. Visited the restaurant with a friend on a weekday night. Although I come to Shinbashi quite frequently, it was my first time at Musashi. You can only make a reservation for 4 people or more, so we decided to try our luck as a party of 2 and managed to get seats at the counter. The lively and nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere inside the restaurant, along with the teppanyaki-style serving, was enjoyable! The chaotic and lively atmosphere that I had almost forgotten due to COVID was both good and bad, but it made the drinks go down smoothly. Last time, we had tuna, octopus sashimi, and various grilled items such as shiitake mushrooms, shishito peppers, and corn butter. All were delicious, and surprisingly, the prices were very reasonable! We indulged without reservation, and it was fantastic. I was reminded of the fun of drinking with close friends or colleagues at a restaurant after a long time. We had so much fun that we drank too much and ended up with a hangover the next day, which was unexpected. I will definitely visit with another friend soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Recently, I've been hooked on grilled food, so I finally visited a restaurant I've been curious about. They grill the food right in front of you and serve it quickly. The cost performance is great and they have a wide variety of menu options! I stopped by before 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and found this place open! I didn't hesitate to walk in. This restaurant is best experienced at the counter if seats are available. It really gives off that authentic feel of a traditional Japanese charcoal grill. A young man in a yukata was sitting at the grill, expertly cooking the ingredients right in front of us. The menu offers a variety of fresh fish, shellfish, dried fish, vegetables, and meat, all for around 300 yen each. Even the price of the Sanma fish, which has gone up this year, is no exception. From mackerel to dried conger eel, shrimp, Sanma fish, red Vienna sausages, grilled rice balls - I intended to just have a light snack, but ended up eating heartily. Time seemed to stand still at this charcoal grill. I highly recommend sitting at the counter. I will definitely be back!
