Tsukemen at Tsukemenya Musashi after over 10 years. I used to have ramen here before. Today I tried the rich tsukemen. Taste: The rich fish-based soup matches well with the noodles. The braised pork chashu has a strong flavor and is tender, very delicious. Cost performance: If it's just regular tsukemen, it could be priced below 1000 yen.

The president and managing director of a partner company in Korea came to Japan. The president had requested miso ramen and draft beer. However, they had to decline a client visit due to a backlog of work, so the managing director was invited to join instead. It had been a while since I had eaten ramen properly, probably since my last visit to Bunryu in Kyushu. I had tried Musashi's ramen in Akihabara before, but this was my first time trying miso ramen. I chose the Musashi Miso La-Men for 1,310 yen, which came with a generous amount of char siu. The managing director also ordered the same menu. It was rich and flavorful, with a strong salty taste. While I had no problem with it, the managing director found it too strong and diluted it with soup halfway through. Although it was probably meant for dipping noodles, I also tried diluting it towards the end. It changed the taste without losing the umami from the seafood. The noodles were square-shaped, possibly due to being hand-cut, and they had a good texture that paired well with the soup. I personally enjoyed the flavor and firmness of the noodles. I'm not a fan of slippery noodles, but these seemed to complement the soup nicely.

I visited Menya Musashi for the first time, located a short walk from Tamachi station towards Shibaura. I ordered the recommended Musashi Ramen using the ticketing machine inside. The seating mainly consists of counter seats near the entrance, but there are also tables in the back. They offer a complimentary noodle upgrade during lunch hours, so I went for the large size. Although the bowl looked small, it was packed with noodles. The fish-based broth was delicious, and the large slices of roasted pork were excellent. The noodles had a unique texture, similar to soba, and I felt that they were overpowering the broth rather than complementing it. Next time, I'll try the tsukemen to explore more options!

MUSASHI Ramen Jumbo Size for 1260 yen. It's been a year and a half since I last had it. I used to come here regularly since they opened, but this time it didn't taste as good. I wonder if the management has changed, they made it differently, or they changed the ingredients. The noodles were stretchy like cold soba, the braised pork was thin and flavorless, and the soup was bland. The char siu, which wasn't my main focus, was delicious.

I was feeling hungrier than usual, so I ordered the large serving of Musashi Ramen. I always hesitate between getting the Char Siu Ramen or not. I'm not really drawn to the topping of egg, but I always end up getting it. I often think it would be nice if it was Menma instead of egg, but it seems like I won't come across that option anytime soon.

I got really drunk and ended up at Shime's Noodles! Oh no, here I go again. I want to go on a diet, but why do I get so hungry when I drink too much!? And when Musashi is right in front of me, of course I have to go. My brain remembers Musashi, after all. Musashi will win over the diet. Besides, if the prices are the same, it's only natural to order the large size, right? (So, what about the diet? I get that you want to eat, but at least go for the regular size. You're just going home to sleep anyway.) Anyway, my brain that knows the deliciousness of Musashi couldn't stop my runaway appetite, so I ended up ordering the large size again that day. The chewy noodles with rich sauce were a blissful delight to eat. It's especially irresistible after drinking! Thank you for the meal!

I ordered the signature ramen. I can't remember if the price was 12-300 yen, sorry. The soup was a classic double soup style with a strong powdered fish flavor floating on top. It was delicious. I'm not a big fan of pork. I felt like there was a porky flavor or smell. The braised pork belly was the same, and overall it wasn't to my liking. Thank you for the meal!

I usually don't like tsukemen, but after enjoying a hot tsukemen last time, I was torn between ramen and tsukemen tonight. I ended up ordering the 2x serving of tsukemen for 950 yen. Last time I struggled with the 2.5x serving, so tonight I went with 2x. It was still quite filling, but I managed to enjoy it until the end.

Thick tsukemen for 1000 yen. I thought the interior only had counter seats, but there were also table seats in the back, making it surprisingly spacious. There were about 6 people waiting in line ahead of me, but I was seated in about 10 minutes. The tsukemen had a rich seafood broth and was quite delicious. I want to come back again.

Visited on a weekday night. It's almost 10 PM, but there is a huge line! Despite the large interior, this place is incredibly popular. I didn't hesitate and waited in line to enter. I was a bit indecisive at the ticket machine, but ended up choosing the spicy tsukemen with medium noodles. It was great that they accept various electronic payment methods. I was seated at the counter after a 10-minute wait. The spicy appearance caught my eye. The garlic chives looked delicious. The chashu here is like braised pork, very tender and tasty. The soup had a nice spiciness but also a rich flavor, and it paired well with the noodles! I finished the medium portion in no time. I regret not getting the large size. It's tricky to judge the noodle portion for tsukemen as it varies by restaurant. I'll definitely come back soon. Thank you for the meal!

Salt ramen, or rather, Shio ramen. The soup was clear yet had a deep flavor. Each branch of Menya Musashi has its own unique characteristics, making you want to visit all of them. They offer both ramen and tsukemen, so you'll have to visit quite a few times to try them all (laughs).

I had Musashi Ramen. After taking a bite, it tasted refreshing, but you can still taste the flavor of dried sardines in the soup. That's the secret to its easy-to-eat appeal. Even the regular size portion was enough to make me feel full. It also comes with a boiled egg, so it feels quite worth it. I will definitely go back again!

The noodles at Mita Seimen are similar in taste and richness to the dipping sauce. The chashu is excellent, with two varieties available - the block type has a tender, melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes you want more. What surprised me was that you can get up to 3.5 times the regular portion of noodles for free. Next time I visit, I want to go beyond the large portion I had this time.

I came the next day in the evening, just like having ramen after drinking. I usually get the regular 1000 yen rich tsukemen, but this time I ordered it 2.5 times the normal size. I remember feeling uncomfortable halfway through eating a size 3 before, but today with the 2.5 size, my stomach was really struggling. The thick square chashu, like braised pork belly, is definitely delicious. The regular round chashu is good too, but it tastes a bit bland. When I asked for it to be extra hot, it was really hot. In the summer, it might be nice to have it with cold noodles for a refreshing experience. The staff is lively and attentive, and both the taste and service are good. The miso ramen is also delicious, but if you prefer a stronger flavor, it might be good to ask for it to be more concentrated in advance!

JR Tamachi Station (Shibaura Exit) is a 10-minute walk away. This is the simple second branch of "Menya Musashi," following Shinjuku. They have spacious table seating available. I recommend the rich Musashi tsukemen (double portion for 1,310 yen). It comes with two types of chashu - one is firm in texture, while the thicker one is soft and delicious. The dipping sauce is slightly thinner compared to other shops, with a hint of fish powder. Personally, I prefer the one in Hamamatsucho nearby. With a double portion, you'll leave feeling satisfied.

I went there a little before noon and there were 4 people waiting inside the restaurant. Luckily, I was seated in about 5 minutes. I had the regular ramen. The braised pork was delicious as always. I think adding roasted pork as a topping would make it even more satisfying, so I would like to try that next time I visit.

This is a personal story, but I went on a business trip overseas and decided that when I returned, I would eat ramen. I usually go for the light soy sauce flavor, but this time I decided to try a strong soy sauce base with a mix of animal and seafood flavors. I chose to go to Ramenya Musashi, which I like but rarely eat. I was surprised that I chose Musashi upon returning to Japan, but it was the right choice. The combination of broth and strong soy sauce flavor was something that can only be experienced in Japan. It was delicious, and the noodles had a great texture. I also ordered gyoza, which was also delicious. I felt like a true Japanese person. I have felt this way before, but I wonder if the slight acidity I sense comes from the char siu pork. As an amateur, I'm not sure, but this is where my usual preferences diverge. It was a moment where I truly felt Japanese.

This is Menya Musashi located in Shibaura. It is along a big street, a 5-minute walk from JR Tamachi Station Shibaura exit. I was able to enter without waiting in line around 1 pm on a weekday. The fish soup consists of a rich and hot double soup made mainly from chicken bones and pork bones, and a fish-based soup made with bonito flakes and dried sardines. The smooth thick noodles go well with the soup. I ordered the regular Ra-men (920 yen) with a free large portion, and the chashu was very thick but tender, melting in the mouth. I thought the price was a bit high, but it was a satisfying lunch. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant near my company for the first time and tried the spicy and rich tsukemen with double the noodles! The noodles that came out were beautiful and glossy. Since it was my first time, I ordered it as is, but I think it would have been better if I had asked for the noodles to be cooked harder. The turnover was fast, so I might want to go again.
