I received Inokashira Senbei from a colleague at work. They always go out of their way to prepare thoughtful gifts, and I feel grateful for that. Even when I say "Don't worry about it!", they insist, "I want you to use it!" They have a great attitude of choosing delicious local products instead of mass-produced items. This was my first time trying Inokashira Senbei, which is shaped like a well. It has a crispy texture that I like. There was also one shaped like a fish, with a shrimp flavor. It's different from Kappa Ebisen, with a rice cracker texture and a strong shrimp flavor with soy sauce. The shop is Hanami Senbei in Musashino City, Tokyo.

I have been a big fan of Inokashira Senbei, which is shaped like the character "井", for about 15 years now. I often buy it for myself or as gifts. There are many types of rice crackers available, but nothing beats Inokashira Senbei! I highly recommend it. The unique shape always catches people's attention and sparks conversations. And it tastes delicious too! It has a good reputation, so I always choose it as a souvenir. It's light, reasonably priced, has a good amount, and lasts long. However, recently they have raised the price from 100 yen per piece to 140 yen. It's getting harder to buy in bulk now.

Yesterday, I went to Kichijoji and decided to check out this rice cracker shop near the south exit. The atmosphere was lovely. Oh, and my favorite artist, Ms. Sakuramomoko, apparently visited here too. The interior has a nostalgic Showa era charm, which is quite rare. It feels warm and inviting. I bought some cherry blossom rice crackers in a salad flavor. They were light and easy to eat. Crispy and delicious. Despite being surrounded by many restaurants in the building, this place offers a taste of the Showa era. Give it a try! ❤️

Inogashira Senbei is a shop that has been in business since 1958, which makes it 65 years old. They sell senbei for 160 yen.

I found a shop on my way back from cherry blossom viewing at Inokashira Park. Intrigued by the sign for "Hanami Senbei" (cherry blossom viewing rice crackers), I decided to take a look inside. It was a classic rice cracker shop. Since I was already there, I bought the Hanami Senbei. They were rice crackers shaped like cherry blossom petals, coated in white and pink. They were so cute. When I gave them to my acquaintance as a gift, they were delighted.

The grass-flavored senbei is not too hard and delicious. For those who like it harder, I recommend the Genkotsu (fist) flavor.

When I visited Kichijoji, I happened to stop by this shop. Inside, there were hand-baked rice crackers in glass jars and packaged rice crackers lined up. There was a regular customer or someone being served inside, so I had to wait a bit. The rice crackers were on the salty side, with a soy sauce flavor. I bought them by the gram, and they turned out to be surprisingly heavy and pricey. Thank you for the meal.
