I arrived at the restaurant at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. I had made a reservation in advance, but I was informed both during the reservation and upon entering that the kitchen was run by the owner alone, so service might take some time. Despite some reviews mentioning slow service, knowing the situation beforehand gave me peace of mind and I didn't mind the wait at all. The owner even provided an electric heater for me as I was feeling cold, offered to split the Okinawa soba into two bowls for sharing, and gave me recommendations on how to enjoy my first taste of awamori. The food was delicious, and both the dishes and service warmed my heart. I would love to visit again!

It gives the impression that there were many regular customers! I love Okinawan cuisine, and I found this place when I was drinking in Shimokitazawa, so I decided to visit. The Shikuwasa Highball-like drink was incredibly delicious. It had no unnecessary sweetness and had an original taste, which was great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, so it might be a bit unfamiliar for first-time visitors. I was also a first-timer, and the service took some time. There weren't many staff members, and there were regular customers, so it's recommended for those who can enjoy a slower pace.

One of the best value-for-money Okinawan restaurants in Shimokitazawa where you can relax. There are several Okinawan restaurants in Shimokitazawa, but among them, the classic dishes like Goya Champuru and Mimigar are delicious with a home-cooked taste. The Goya is crunchy and the pork trotter soup is collagen-rich and tasty. The vegetables seem to be directly sourced from Okinawa. Overall, the food is not too salty or greasy, but rather healthy. It's a place you'll want to visit again and again. Thank you for the meal.

I found this restaurant while wandering around with my friend as there aren't many places open in the afternoon. The food was delicious and the staff were very kind, even splitting the dish into two portions for us.

The Okinawan dishes at this restaurant are delicious no matter what you order! Today, I had Okinawa soba for lunch. The fresh noodles and gentle broth were delicious. The homemade pork belly chashu was also tender and flavorful! Thank you for the meal♪

The first restaurant I went to unexpectedly had a 90-minute time limit and I was kicked out early, so I was looking for a second place and ended up at this restaurant that seemed to have a nice atmosphere. Despite it being a weekday, the place was quite full. It seems like there aren't many Okinawan restaurants in this area of Shimokitazawa. I was seated at the counter and looked at the menu. The menu was quite limited! They didn't even have the popular dish of deep-fried grouper or stir-fried Shirishiri. It seemed like they were trying to stretch the menu by using the same ingredients in multiple dishes. For example, if you ordered pork belly, they would offer Rafute, a soup with pork belly, and pork belly with green onions, etc. Also, they had simple dishes like grilled thick tofu topped with green onions, which didn't really feel like Okinawan cuisine, more like something you could easily make at home. I couldn't find anything I wanted to order, but I ended up getting some simple appetizers and Okinawan soba. The Okinawan soba was actually good. I've tried Okinawan cuisine at various places in Tokyo, but this was the worst. I won't be visiting again.

Despite being an Okinawan cuisine restaurant, the door is always wide open on snowy days. The stove is refused even if requested by regular customers at the counter seats. Only blankets are provided. The food also takes a while to come out. Quite crazy but fun experience (lol).

When you walk down the South exit shopping street of Shimokitazawa, you will come across a shop with a Okinawa vibe. It has a counter, tables, and sunken seating areas. It's always popular and crowded, but the kitchen is small so the food may take some time. (They will explain in advance so it's not a problem.) It's a rare place where you can enjoy fresh Orion beer. You can leisurely chat while enjoying the gentle flavors of home-style Okinawan cuisine, experiencing a bit of Okinawan time in Shimokitazawa. Ah, makes me want to go to Okinawa! (laughs) Thank you for the delicious meal.

I went to a Okinawan restaurant called "Yukutiya" in Shimokitazawa. It's a place I've known about for a while but hadn't visited until today. I met up with my partner after work and decided to check it out. About 70% of the tables were occupied, so we had to wait a bit before getting a seat at the counter. We looked at the menu, intrigued by the unfamiliar names of Okinawan dishes. We ordered Mimigaa no Nikogori, Pochigi, and Goya Champuru along with a rare Orion draft beer. We enjoyed the unique flavors of each dish, especially the surprising taste of Mimigaa no Nikogori. It had a vinegar-like tang that was perfect for summer. Pochigi turned out to be like Chorizo. We ended the meal with Tebichi, a delicious braised pork dish. Even though the service was a bit slow, the Orion beer made up for it. I'll definitely go back again.

Because it was raining, we decided to go inside. We sat at a raised table and indulged in more food and drinks. Since our stomachs were already quite full, we focused more on drinking. However, the food was delicious, and we ended up snacking quite a bit, especially with the sour shikuwasa drink. I don't remember much because I had quite a bit of alcohol, but the vegetable dishes were tasty, and even the crispy pork, which seemed ordinary, was irresistible. Yes, I think it was a pretty good restaurant. My brain was floating in alcohol, so I probably, but (bitter smile).

My favorite restaurant among Okinawan cuisine restaurants. When I lived in Shimokitazawa, I used to drink here until morning many times. It is a delicious and warm restaurant where you can recall the taste of the local food. In particular, the Somin Champuru made by Niini is exquisite. They also make Goya Champuru, soba, and if you have any requests, they will make snacks for you! There is also a wide variety of alcohol, so if you want to experience the atmosphere of Okinawa, I recommend you to try it. The regular customers are friendly and you can enjoy drinking with them. I always go there when I go to Shimokitazawa. Thank you for the meal.

I was taken there by an acquaintance. It was easy to find near Shimo-Kitazawa station. They have a wide variety of awamori, and the explanations of the flavors were friendly and easy to understand. I was also taught how to drink in the Okinawan way, which was delicious. The dishes are authentic, made by the owner from Okinawa. The prices are reasonable, so I will definitely visit again.

Champon, Okinawa soba, and mozuku are all delicious, but keep in mind that the dishes may take some time to prepare since the restaurant is managed by just one person. Despite the longer wait, the food is worth it. I recommend trying these dishes, but please be aware that not everyone may find them to their liking. The service and value for money may not be the best, but if you are not in a hurry, I suggest visiting this place. Champon costs around 500 to 680 yen, soba is priced at 600 yen, and they offer a variety of awamori and beer options such as Orion and Ebisu. For desserts, they have ice cream only. The atmosphere created by the Okinawa-born owner allows you to experience a taste of Okinawa in Tokyo.

This is a cozy Okinawan restaurant that perfectly fits the atmosphere of Shimokitazawa. It may feel a bit cramped, but it allows for warm interactions between people. The menu includes various Okinawan dishes such as Champuru, Soki Soba, and sea grapes. The dishes are made to order, so it may take some time for them to arrive, but they are delicious. The selection of Awamori is quite extensive, so even those knowledgeable about alcohol will be satisfied.

At one point, Shimokitazawa was on the verge of becoming a fierce battleground for Okinawan cuisine. Stores like Go-ya and Okinawa soba disappeared, leaving only a few good ones remaining. In the midst of this, a new restaurant has opened here. All the staff, including the manager, are from Okinawa. Perhaps it's the unique Latin blood of Okinawa that has brought so much energy to this place. I ordered Goya champuru, sea grapes, nakamijiru, so-ki soba, and Rafute. I spotted carrot shirishiri on the menu! I tried it for the first time recently and liked it. It's not very common, so this was a happy find. Carrot shirishiri is a dish like stir-fried carrots, with the main ingredient being shredded carrots. The seasoning here was strong, complementing the sweetness of the carrots well. The Goya champuru was somewhat westernized, with relatively few bitter melons. The taste was quite ordinary. I found the nakamijiru a bit fishy. The seasoning and fat in the So-ki and Rafute were both strong. It might be better to boil them a bit more to reduce the fat. The dishes were not bad, but they all left a rather average impression. The interior of the restaurant is quite small. The tables are close together, so if you're two women, you'll likely end up talking to the male customer next to you (laughs). On this day, the man next to us was a salaryman, so he kept trying to start conversations (^^;;). It may not be suitable for a leisurely chat. However, the staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant are bright and energetic, so if the dishes become more appealing, I might end up coming back often. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive despite the tough times.

I visited this place around 6 pm on a weekday for the first time! I was torn between a nearby Okinawan soba shop and this one, but ended up here. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cozy and homey. The handsome master greeted us warmly. My companion ordered awamori (they had a wide variety) and I ordered a sour shikuwasa sour. We ordered a lot of dishes -> The appetizer was a variety of vegetables and pork stew (similar to motsu-ni, with plenty of vegetables and delicious!), stir-fried carrots (carrot stir-fry with spam, rich and tasty), half portion of island tofu salad (even though it was a half portion, it was full of volume, with tightly packed island tofu, tomato, and lettuce!), tuna tamago (tuna and egg omelette, fluffy and creamy!). Of course, we had to finish with Okinawan soba! The noodles were slightly thin and went down smoothly. The meat was light, more suitable for women maybe. All the dishes were reasonably priced and we left with full stomachs! They have a fun game where you roll dice and win a prize based on the number rolled. We won a free appetizer! The person next to us won a rare prize - a photo with the manager! There's a lot of playful spirit here. It gets crowded quickly, so it might be best to make a reservation before going. I didn't have time to check all the details, so I definitely want to come back and try again!

The owner is entertaining and the atmosphere of the restaurant is great with a lively vibe every day. The Rafuti (braised pork) is tender and very delicious. It's a nice restaurant where you can feel the essence of Okinawa.
