I understand that the illustration on the cup I was served was just a coincidence and didn't have any special meaning, but I have a strong aversion to characters like the one depicted on the cup, so my mood was significantly dampened. The interior of the café, renovated from an old folk house, exudes the warmth of wood. It seemed like it was the staff's graduation day, as there were congratulatory flowers and customers coming to say goodbye, giving off a warm and welcoming atmosphere of a café beloved by locals. I ordered a tea and a white chocolate and marmalade donut sandwich, along with a hot cocoa. There were many tempting options like scones filled with red bean butter, carrot cake, and spiced cheese terrine, but I opted for the unique donut sandwich. It was a donut with tea leaves kneaded into the dough, coated with white chocolate on top, and filled with orange peel and cream cheese - it was delicious! The hot cocoa was also delightful, with a smooth texture and lovely latte art. The café had cute and unique cup illustrations. The seating consisted of bench-style seats for groups and compact counter seats, creating a cozy atmosphere thanks to the old folk house setting. They also had cute items like Yoshida Shoin Cinnamon Biscuits for takeout. I would definitely like to visit this café again.

This place has its main store in Nagoya, and also has branches in Kamakura and Kichijoji, known for their coffee stands in the town. The old folk house-style interior is lined with delicious baked goods. I came here with the intention of eating carrot cake, but when faced with such a variety, it's inevitable to hesitate. After much deliberation, I decided to go for two - the carrot cake and the pound cake with oolong tea and orange peel, white chocolate. Because they all looked so delicious, I couldn't help it. And of course, I had a warm cafe latte as well. I paid first and then found a small seating area inside. It was a luxury to eat two cakes. I started with the carrot cake. The cake was moist with a good amount of nuts and raisins. The spices gradually came through, making the texture and flavor enjoyable. The thick layer of cream cheese frosting was also delightful. The cake was not too sweet, so the sweet frosting complemented it perfectly. Next, the pound cake! It was moist rather than fluffy, with a noticeable texture from the tea leaves and a perfect match of orange peel's acidity and white chocolate's gentle sweetness. It was a delicious choice. And most of all, I loved the cup for the cafe latte! It was so cute. The unique mug from Kannnon Coffee was adorable, and I kind of wanted it. The generous amount of coffee was also pleasing, with a perfect bitterness that suited both the carrot cake and pound cake. I'm curious about the scones, donuts, and other baked goods, so I'll definitely visit again. Matsukage Jinja-mae Station makes me want to stop by even without plans. Thank you for the meal.

Being directionally challenged is tough... I was drawn to a natural-looking renovated cafe in an open atmosphere. Drinking coffee while watching people pass by in the shopping street was great. There were more shared spaces than individual seats, which was unusual and nice. When I went, there were two other solo female customers besides me for dine-in. The interior of the shop has a stylish and cozy atmosphere with a warm wooden feel. I tried the parfait drink fair and chose the "Black Sesame Pudding with Kinako Soy" option. It also had black sesame stick cookies and milk vanilla ice cream. I was in a hurry and when I quickly drank it, the ice had not melted at all. There were too many large ice cubes in the drink and not enough actual drink. I wanted to eat the pudding at the bottom, but the ice was in the way and I couldn't reach it. There was too much ice, even though it was hot outside!
