Sushi Hana @ Mita Tokyo, Minato-ku, Shiba 5-31-7 Mita Station Building Amita B1F Tabelog rating: 3.36 Open on weekdays from 11:30 to 13:00, 17:30 to 21:30 Closed on weekends and holidays Choose from a budget of 10,000 to 20,000 yen for the omakase course, which includes sashimi, several dishes (grilled fish, simmered fish), and nigiri selected based on the day's ingredients and the chef's skills. The drinks are also carefully paired with the dishes, offering a variety of flavors at 1,200 yen per glass. The dishes focusing on natural seafood and the exquisite nigiri are wonderful. You can enjoy a luxurious meal at a reasonable price. The grilled fish and simmered dishes were fragrant and delicious. The sashimi and dishes are substantial, so the 5 pieces of nigiri are just right. They also offer unique sake selections like Awanama, perfect for sake enthusiasts. Kappo and sushi restaurant located in a building basement right near Sannomiya Station. Visited for lunch on a weekday. The Foodie score at the time of visit was 3.39 (January 2021). As of January 2021, due to the impact of the coronavirus, lunch is only available on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The lunch menu includes: - Daily special set meal (1000 yen) - Chirashi sushi (1000 yen) - Sashimi set meal (1000 yen) - Nigiri sushi (1320 yen) - Bara chirashi (1980 yen) I ordered the daily special set meal, limited to 5 servings. The main dish of the day was Oyako Don (chicken and egg bowl). The daily special set meal was served about 4 minutes after ordering. It included Oyako Don, rice, miso soup, pickles, a small side dish, and sashimi. The Oyako Don was made with chicken thigh meat simmered in egg, with a rich and flavorful broth that paired well with the rice. The sashimi included tuna and squid, both fresh and delicious. The rice was cooked to perfection, with a nice chewy texture. Despite being located in the basement near the station, it may be hard to notice this restaurant, but if you happen to visit, it's definitely worth it. Thank you for the meal.

On March 6, 2019, I had lunch in Tamachi-Mita for the first time. I had already tried many nearby restaurants, but I stumbled upon this one today. I had never paid much attention to it before, even though I passed by it often. I arrived a little before 12 pm and there were no other customers. I felt a bit uneasy at the lack of customers at this time. I was seated at the counter and ordered the daily special for 1000 yen, which was meat and tofu today. The meal was served in about 10 minutes and it was quite impressive. The meal included meat and tofu, sashimi, salad, natto, rice, and miso soup. The sashimi platter had four types: red meat, swordfish, squid, and octopus. They were all delicious, but the swordfish was particularly tasty. The meat and tofu had a great flavor as well. The salad was not just leafy greens, but a substantial portion. With the addition of natto, I felt like I needed more rice. Before I knew it, the restaurant was already full with customers waiting. It was indeed a popular spot. I left satisfied and full. Thank you for the delicious meal!

There is a restaurant located in the basement of a building near Mita Station. When I arrived at around 12:30, there were three people at the counter and one table was already taken. I ordered the daily lunch special for 1000 yen, limited to 10 servings. It included sashimi, minced horse mackerel, peeled tomato, simmered bamboo shoots, sweet and spicy tuna, rice, and onion miso soup. The presentation was elegant and the portion was generous, making it seem like a luxurious meal for the price. By around 1 pm, the other customers had left, so it was a great opportunity to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely visit again soon.

・Lunch can also be reserved (sometimes empty depending on the day) ・Despite being close to the station, the restaurant has a slightly hidden and cozy atmosphere with a small, clean feel. ・Lunch options include nigiri starting from around 1000 yen, and set meals that look delicious. ・The portion size may be a little small for men? "Bara Chirashi" 1950 yen (including tax) 3.8 ・Reservation required in advance, limited to 5 servings. ・Cost performance is okay. ・The taste is not as good as Sushisho in Yotsuya, but still delicious. ・The rice is firm, with cucumber, denbu, ikura, tamagoyaki, sea bream, horse mackerel, tuna, blue fish, pickled ginger, etc. neatly arranged. ・The miso soup, with Mitsuba and onions, is simple yet has a sweet taste and is delicious. "Daily Chirashi" 1000 yen (including tax) 3.8 ・Tamagoyaki, kamaboko, denbu, ark shell, tuna, yellowtail, octopus, pickled ginger, etc. ・Firm rice, the freshness and quality of the ingredients may not be the best, but the tamagoyaki and kamaboko are quite delicious. ・Comes with yudofu and miso soup. ・Normally, instead of the Bara Chirashi, this option is sufficient.

Leave it to the chef for both the sake and sushi. You can enjoy their specialty dishes. It's conveniently located near the station, has a nice atmosphere, and comes highly recommended.

Located just across the signal on the Mita side of Tamachi Station is Sushi Hana, downstairs. Take the stairs next to Fuji Soba and go all the way to the back. On rainy days, you can use the elevator directly from the subway. Today's special is limited to 10 servings - Daily Set Meal for 1000 yen (tax included), available on weekdays except Mondays. Be sure to go early as it may sell out. Today's set includes simmered dish, salad, sashimi, natto, miso soup, and rice! The simmered dish is chicken and mushroom in soy sauce base, with very tender chicken. The sashimi is tuna red meat! It's always exciting to see what will be served. A very satisfying lunch at this sushi restaurant! If there's no daily special, I opt for the sashimi set meal.

The daily special is limited to 10 servings. I tried to go a few times because someone was eating it and it looked delicious, but it was always full... I finally managed to get in when I went early. I ordered the daily special for 1000 yen. It took a little while, but it finally arrived. It looked delicious - sashimi, two kinds of simmered vegetables, simmered fish, rice, and miso soup. It was very luxurious. And the fish was delicious! The simmered dish was tender and flavorful, very tasty. It's always crowded and limited, so I'll try to go again. I went after seeing a review in April 2015, wanting to eat bara chirashi, but it was only available by reservation for 1980 yen. I settled for a regular bara chirashi for 1080 yen. It was a decent portion, just right for women. The fish was fresh and delicious as expected. The daily special is limited to 10 servings for 1080 yen, with simmered fish and small side dishes, and it definitely seemed better than the bara chirashi. The spacious counter is fine for dining alone, and the small store has a cozy atmosphere. The lunch menu offers bara chirashi and daily specials. I plan to make a reservation and try the bara chirashi someday. I wonder when that will be...

Today, I had a business trip to Minato-ku, Shibaura and wanted to grab a quick lunch before preparing for the afternoon work. I searched for a lunch spot near Tamachi Station on Tabelog and found a photo of the "Bara Chirashi" dish at this particular restaurant that caught my eye, so I headed there. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I found out that the "Bara Chirashi" dish requires a reservation, which was not mentioned in any reviews I read. It was disappointing, but I didn't have time to look for another place, so I decided to have lunch here instead. I ordered the "Edomae Nigiri Sushi (Ume)" for 1,620 yen, which included 8 pieces of nigiri sushi and a roll. It was simple and satisfying. The tuna in the nigiri sushi was glossy and delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the thinly sliced cucumber roll for its refreshing texture. The miso soup with tofu and onions had a homey and rustic flavor, reminiscent of my family's miso soup. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel at home, and I could imagine having a great conversation with the chef over drinks and more sushi in the evening. I look forward to visiting again for dinner.

The balance of the dishes at this restaurant is what gives me the highest satisfaction. While I may be able to eat even more amazing sushi if I pay close to 20,000 yen, I have not found any other place where I can enjoy such delicious dishes and sushi for just 10,000 yen. It's no wonder, considering the head chef's background at Kyubei. I first visited around March 2010, shortly after moving to the area and looking for a good sushi restaurant nearby.----------------------------------------------------<First Visit>It was a Saturday. I made a reservation just in case. When I arrived, there were no other customers, just the head chef and a young person at the grill. The head chef seemed reserved and had a cool, sophisticated vibe. I thought his training must have been strict. Since it was my first visit, I decided to be quiet and elegant while enjoying the meal. (laughs) I initially ordered the omakase sashimi and abalone grilled with seaweed, but the head chef started recommending various dishes as he observed my reactions. I ended up leaving it up to him. One dish that left a strong impression on me was the grilled fugu milt with sea urchin. I had eaten sea urchin before, so I could imagine the taste to some extent. But what was served went beyond my imagination.※Memorable dishes from the first visit-The tuna was incredibly delicious. It was packed with the richness of tuna and had zero roughness. It was the first time I realized that the tuna I had eaten before had some roughness after eating this tuna.-The conger eel was seasoned with salt, not sauce. It was fluffy and lightly crispy on the outside. I usually don't like dishes with sauce because they tend to cover up the flavors, so I was impressed by this dish.-White sea urchin. People from Hokkaido tend to prefer red sea urchin (bafun uni), so it's a matter of personal preference. I preferred the white sea urchin because it was very transparent yet flavorful. Red sea urchin is too rich for me, it lingers in the mouth. (Personal preference)Moreover, sea urchin in Tokyo is typically soaked in alum, which some people dislike due to the amount and quality of alum used. Sea urchin is a seafood where the quality of the inside cannot be determined until the shell is cracked open. The white sea urchin served here is carefully selected by Hokkaido sea urchin professionals, graded by opening the shell, and brought to Tokyo with high-quality alum. The sea urchin is selected by professionals and served to customers, so I believe that as long as the sea urchin is properly selected, the alum doesn't matter. (Personal preference)※Impressions of the restaurant from the first visit-The cost-performance ratio is excellent! The fact that you can get these ingredients, dishes, and amount of sake for just a little over 10,000 yen... Ordering individual items can easily exceed 20,000 yen, but there is a course for just 10,000 yen. The recommended dishes of the day are served, and the price is quite reasonable. Highly recommended.-The sake is delicious! While I haven't tasted all the sake available, I can say that the selection here is impressive. There are sake brands I've never heard of before... It seems like the head chef has tasted and selected all the sake at the brewery. The sake varies depending on the season, but I think the head chef here prefers refreshing types of sake. It may not be suitable for those who prefer rich and sweet sake.-The dishes are amazing! The head chef often says, "We're not just a sushi restaurant." He has a background of training at a Kyoto kaiseki restaurant, Kyubei in Ginza, and then opened his own restaurant in Tamachi. The dishes leading up to the sushi are incredible. By the time the sushi is served, I'm already full. He mentioned, "Sushi is just about having good ingredients and a little bit of skill in molding. Cooking requires a lot more time and effort." It makes sense, there is some truth to it. (laughs)

After finishing work in the morning, it was already past 12:00. I didn't feel like waiting at a popular restaurant, and I didn't feel like having ramen today. I searched for "sushi in Tamachi" and found "Sushi Hana". I visited the restaurant located in the basement of a building in front of Tamachi station. As a first-time customer at a non-rotating sushi restaurant, I felt a bit nervous entering through the curtain. I opened the heavy sliding door and entered. The restaurant has a total of 20 seats, with 10 seats at the counter and 10 table seats. The stoic head chef was in the midst of preparing. There were no other customers yet. I sat at the seat furthest from the counter. I ordered the "Bara Chirashi for 1,470 yen". Being alone with the head chef was a bit nerve-wracking. The head chef skillfully prepared tuna and conger eel. Jazz or fusion-like Western music was playing in the background. Finally, ikura, sesame seeds, and shiso leaves were sprinkled on top to complete the dish. The "Bara Chirashi" in a large bowl was like a work of art. At the same time, the "red miso soup" was brought to me. I took a bite of the "Bara Chirashi" with a wooden spoon. The tuna and conger eel danced gently in my mouth. The aroma of myoga, shiso leaves, and sesame seeds was delightful. The remaining ingredients included gizzard shad, octopus, cucumber, egg, shiitake mushrooms, and fish roe. The vinegared rice was subtly seasoned. The "Bara Chirashi" had a generous portion, so the light seasoning was probably to prevent it from becoming overwhelming. In contrast, the "red miso soup" was well-seasoned. I think the balance was very good. The price of 1,470 yen is not cheap, but it was a leisurely lunch. Sometimes, having this kind of lunch is nice. Starting tomorrow, I'll be on a budget with beef bowls from "Sukiya"!

This is an underground sushi restaurant located a short walk from Tamachi Station or Mita Station. The location is convenient, but I couldn't get a signal due to the Docomo antenna being underground. I ordered the maple leaf sushi. The ingredients are seasonal, but I found the rice to be a bit too firm. I prefer lean tuna over fatty tuna, so I wish they had more lean tuna available. As for the eel, most places use farmed eel, but this restaurant had wild-caught eel. It was amazing to find wild eel at a sushi restaurant. The wild eel was tender and not greasy like farmed eel, with a crispy skin. If it was just for the sushi, I would rate it a 3, but the wild eel elevated the rating significantly. The experience of tasting wild eel is unforgettable.

Lunch sushi for 2940 yen. Edo-style chirashi for 1050 yen and a limited edition mixed chirashi for around 1500 yen. I decided to explore the evening atmosphere by trying the nigiri at a sushi restaurant near Tamachi. I sat at the counter and commented on the large wasabi in front of me, to which the chef replied, "It's a 5-year-old wasabi. We use ice instead of water to maintain its freshness." The chef showed his dedication to quality. Inside the restaurant, a young man served us tea while the dedicated chef prepared the limited edition chirashi for the previous customer. The process was meticulous and time-consuming. I couldn't help but wonder how long it would take for our nigiri to be prepared if there were only two chefs in the kitchen. As I chatted with a friend, we waited for about 15 minutes before the chef began cutting the ingredients for our nigiri. The careful preparation of the ingredients stored in the refrigerator was evident in the taste. The flavors were well-balanced, and the attention to detail in the preparation was reflected in the taste. The miso soup could have had a bit more depth, and there was a slight lack of cohesion between the miso and clear soup. The ingredients, such as konbu-jime fish, aoriika, hirame, and maguro, were of high quality and not compromised for the lunch menu. However, there was a lack of value for the price of 2940 yen for only eight pieces of nigiri. It felt like the combination was based on the price limit of 3000 yen for lunch. Ideally, they could focus on offering just the mixed chirashi for lunch. With only the chef working and the staff assisting with tasks like serving tea and clearing plates, the lunch service may be too slow due to the limited number of staff. While the quality and attention to detail were evident, the lack of efficiency may make it not the best choice for a quick lunch.

Long time no visit. It seems like there has been quite a gap since my last visit, as the lunch menu has changed... The daily special set meal is gone, and in its place, there is a limited edition bara chirashi, only 10 servings available! Additionally, there are only three types of lunch sushi available now. It was an early lunch for me this time, but I seemed to have timed it well. So, of course, I went for the bara chirashi (^▽^*) Most of the ingredients were already prepared and cut, except for the akami and one other type which were being sliced on the spot. The bara chirashi was beautifully arranged with ingredients like red clam, egg, cucumber, lotus root, flying fish roe, ikura, octopus, conger eel, scallop, tuna akami, among others. Although it wasn't necessarily a texture to fully enjoy the freshness of the seafood, it was still a good balance of various ingredients for the price of 1470 yen. Personally, I really liked the well-balanced portion of rice. Just to be sure, I asked if it was okay to take photos this time, and the kind owner smiled and said, "Please go ahead^^," which was lovely. [Previous Review] Feeling a bit dark, I was either going to zone out with a pendant or immerse myself in a "Japanese" atmosphere, so when browsing through Tabelog, I came across the intriguing "Japanese" mentioned in tta005's review. It was next to Mori... Oh, I remember seeing this place before. Yes, being next to Mori must mean this is also a good restaurant♪ So, with my expectations building up, I decided to visit. Since I left work early, I was the first customer when I arrived, and I opted for the limited edition set meal as I had arrived early. I tried the "Daily Special Set Meal" (1000 yen). [Food - ★4] The set meal from yesterday included ikura rice, boiled vegetables, salad, stir-fried pork and glass noodles, miso soup, and large strawberries. Each dish was carefully prepared and had a gentle taste that was very delicious♪ Although I momentarily regretted ordering a menu that wasn't focused on sashimi in a restaurant known for handling fresh ingredients (my fault for not asking about the menu beforehand), I was completely satisfied with the meal contents. [Ambiance - ★4] The Japanese atmosphere was calming and very relaxing. It's very similar to Mori. My heart felt at ease, and Japanese ambiance is truly wonderful♪ However, the slow jazz music playing in the background was a bit... why? [Service - ★3.5] Since taking photos of the food was not allowed at Mori, I wondered if the same rule applied here. So, I asked, "May I take photos?" and the lovely owner replied with a smile, "The menu changes daily, but please go ahead~^^" (Unfortunately, I couldn't get a great angle for the photos.) The other staff at the restaurant also provided pleasant and friendly service, which made me very happy♪ [Cost Performance - ★3] It's a bit pricey for lunch, but considering the taste and ambiance, it's definitely worth it! While I was there, a few customers trickled in, mostly older regulars. (And they all ordered the daily special.) But if you can have a variety of delicious side dishes that change every day, it's understandable why one would want to become a regular... I might become one too (laughs) I will visit again soon to enjoy sashimi and chirashi☆

I've been getting addicted to sushi vinegar recently. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 10/09 Revisited I revisited to eat the bara chirashi, limited to 10 servings a day. The lunch menu seems to be almost set, with two types of nigiri accompanying the bara chirashi. The nigiri is priced at 3,500 yen and 5,000 yen. The prices for nigiri for dinner are also displayed at the counter. The seafood comes from various regions of Japan, and the prices for each nigiri are quite reasonable. The bara chirashi is served in a large bowl with a thin layer of rice, topped with a colorful assortment of ingredients. There's ikura, anago, akami, hokkigai, hotate, tobiko, tamago, shime saba, and more. The portion of chirashi is more satisfying compared to the Edomae chirashi I had last time. Overall, considering the quality of the ingredients and the prices, I think it's a good deal. I also like the bara chirashi at Sushi Takumi in Yotsuya and Tatsuhiro in Shinjuku, but I would definitely add this place to the list. On 09/08, the shop is located right near Tamachi Station. It's next to Mori to, quietly nestled in the basement of a building. The shop has been receiving high ratings on Tabelog recently, offering sushi with good value starting from 10,000 yen for dinner, so I decided to try their lunch first. The interior has a clean counter and a tatami area, and most customers seem to be ordering the bara chirashi. There are quite a few female customers. Today, I went aiming for the highly praised daily limited set meal, but it was temporarily suspended as indicated on the menu, which was disappointing. The Edomae chirashi was a bit pricey at 1,480 yen, so I ordered the 1,000 yen one instead. The master carefully prepares each plate, so it takes some time for the dishes to come out. The Edomae chirashi includes hokkigai, hotate, aji, maguro, tobiko, tako, kamaboko, and more. The shari is firm, with a slightly strong vinegar taste. The ingredients are overall fresh. It may seem like there's a bit less shari for men, but I think it's just the right amount for women. I personally felt a bit unsatisfied with the portion. The presentation of the bara chirashi is beautiful, and the bowl is slightly larger, so I would like to try it next time. Judging from other reviews, the dinner performance seems impressive, so I would like to visit for dinner someday.

Today, I stumbled upon an amazing sushi restaurant for our year-end party. Sushi Hana is located in the basement of Mita Station Building Amita, near Shiba Koen in Tamachi. The appetizer was Tonburi, and the icefish and spear squid were exceptional. The chef's dedication to quality ingredients was impressive. The Sawara was the best I've ever had. The pricing was transparent, and the Sawara Daikon was a standout. The Buri Daikon was a unique and delicious dish. The Hinai Jidori chicken hot pot with Kirintanpo was mind-blowing. The restaurant may not be well-known, but the food is beyond amazing. I would love to have such a year-end party all year round at this place! However, it's strange that this restaurant is not easily found on food review sites or search engines.
