1. What is "Due Italian"?
"Golden Salt La Mian Due Italian" opened in Ichigaya in 2009. The owner chef, Kazuo Ishizuka, was originally a successful Italian chef, but he was amazed by the intense passion for ramen of the ramen master, Minoru Sano, whom he met on TBS's "Gachinko Ramen Michi," which became the trigger for starting ramen. The ramen he creates, leveraging his Italian background, is something that ramen enthusiasts could never imagine. Among them, the "La Mian Formaggio" using cheese remains a signature dish at Due Italian. The first time I noticed Due Italian was through the "Calm Tomato Collection." When I saw this on Twitter, I was shocked and went to Ichigaya. It was not only visually appealing but also delicious. Later, I visited "Ramen Due Edo Japan" in Hibiya several times. I have tried several dishes there, which I have summarized in an article, so please check it out if you are interested. Hibiya "Ramen Due Edo Japan" Foie Gras! Cheese! Tomato! Currently, Due Italian is operated by MIG Holdings and has expanded to franchising. As a result, I found about 15 stores in Tokyo, as well as in Osaka, Kyoto, Aichi, Kanagawa, Saitama, Tochigi, Shiga, and others on Tabelog. There is also one store in Taipei. I heard that "La Mian Due Italian GINZAGUCHI" opened in Shinbashi on March 10, 2022. I visited it immediately and found that the atmosphere was very stylish, similar to other branches. The signature dish, La Mian Prosciutto e Formaggio, was very delicious, and I was impressed by the quality maintained across multiple locations.

Shinbashi Station Ginza Exit. It's a bit tricky to reach places like the nearby "Sugi Pharmacy" in one go. I had to cross the pedestrian crossing twice to get to Due Italian. Due Italian is conveniently located on the first floor. Exterior of La Mian Due Italian GINZAGUCHI The location was just before Ginza 8-chome. There is a menu with photos displayed at the storefront. Menu with photos displayed at the front of La Mian Due Italian GINZAGUCHI La Mian Formaggio is priced at 980 yen, while Prosciutto e Formaggio is 1,180 yen. However, I was surprised by the female-only service. [Female-only services at La Mian Due Italian GINZAGUCHI] - Half-price ramen every Monday - Half-price dessert with order of La Mian - Free change to low-carb healthy noodles When I saw this, for some reason, I remembered the New Zealand athlete who competed in women's weightlifting at the Tokyo Olympics claiming to be a woman despite looking like a man. I won't claim to be a woman, of course, but the half-price offer is a surprising service to attract more female customers. There is also a photo of the ramen master, the late Minoru Sano, at the storefront. The noodles used are from Chinatown-style ramen shops. Also, it seems that Arita ware bowls are used, also from Chinatown-style ramen shops. Speaking of which, the use of "La Mian" instead of "Ramen" is in the Chinatown-style. There is a strong sense of respect for Minoru Sano, who gave the owner the opportunity to enter the world of ramen. I was a little surprised when I entered. A woman in a suit greeted me. It was the same as Due Italian's main store in Ichigaya and Due Edo Italian in Hibiya, but it's impressive that the same style is maintained even with the expansion of stores.
