"Hakata Sushi Takayama" in Hakata, a newly opened Edomae sushi restaurant 3 months ago. This is the second store of a restaurant that has been featured in the Michelin Guide for 5 consecutive years. I visited on the opening day and again after about 3 months. The course content and the chef have changed this time. The chef who made the sushi for us this time was very interesting. I liked the relaxed atmosphere without being too formal. There are many private rooms, so it seems suitable for group use as well. The 24-course meal for 12,000 yen was delicious. - Store Information - Store Name: Hakata Sushi Takayama Hours: 12:00-14:00, 17:00-23:00, Closed at 16:00 Phone: 092-409-7228 Price: Omakase Course (Upper) 12,000 yen Regular Holiday: Irregular Private Room: Available Location: B1F, 3-25-24 Hakata Ekimae, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka. - For more details, please visit: https://lit.link/Ryoki Provided by: Ryoji Yoshida"

After shopping in Hakata, I went to Sushi Takayama, a recently opened restaurant recommended by a friend. I had the omakase course for 12,000 yen, which was delicious and had great value for the price. The atmosphere in the restaurant is elegant and perfect for entertaining or dining with someone special. The meal started with clam soup, tofu, marinated kiss fish, salted squid, abalone sushi, red snapper, fatty tuna, and more. The quality of the food was exceptional, and the service was great. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a special dinner or business use.

This is a common branch of a Michelin-starred restaurant. As it was my first time visiting, I chose the reasonable course (lunch for 4500 yen). In my personal opinion: - The sushi rice was too firm - The vinegar flavor was weak - The quality of the fish was lacking - The dried gourd roll was exceptionally delicious - The scallop sashimi, which I mistook for scallops, was also delicious - The serving time was 20 minutes. Since it was a Sunday, I didn't order any additional special items (Hikarimono). It was a bit disappointing that my favorite mackerel wasn't that great. The dried gourd roll was really delicious...

I forgot to take a photo of the most delicious sardine nigiri I had. The sushi restaurant in the station building was full, so I searched on Tabelog and found this place! I wanted to shout out how delicious the sushi in Hakata is, but it was a quiet place, so I just enjoyed my meal quietly (laughs). The sardine was truly amazing. It was the perfect way to end my business trip. I am grateful to Tabelog for introducing me to this amazing restaurant.

A well-known restaurant from Tokyo has opened near Hakata Station. I didn't know the name of the restaurant, but I was intrigued by the affordable lunch course priced at 3,000 yen, so I made a reservation. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building where a GEO store is also located, and it's a bit dimly lit. However, once you step inside, the interior is beautiful and bright. The meal started with a jellyfish appetizer, which I was happy about since I like jellyfish. Then, we moved on to the sushi course, which consisted of 6 pieces of nigiri and 1 roll. Personally, I didn't enjoy any of the sushi because the fish had a strong fishy smell and didn't taste good to me. However, my boss who went with me said it was delicious, so it might just be my preference. I think the cost performance is quite good, so it might be a good choice for those who like this kind of food.

The food was delicious, with generous portions that I could enjoy in one big bite. I had a great time chatting with the chef. The restaurant, which opened in May, is clean and inviting. There are private rooms available, but I prefer sitting at the counter in the corner, so I made a reservation there without hesitation.

Hakata Sushi Kizan is a sushi restaurant located about 5 minutes from Hakata Station. It is said to be run by a chef who has mastered the art of sushi at a famous Japanese restaurant in Hiroo, Tokyo. The lunch omakase sushi set costs 4500 yen excluding tax. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, making it perfect for those who can eat multiple meals in a row. The set includes: - Appetizer - 6 pieces of nigiri sushi - Rolled sushi - Miso soup Each dish was described as delicious and well-prepared, with unique flavors and textures. The sushi rice had a hint of sweetness and acidity from red vinegar, and the nigiri sushi was made in the traditional Edo-mae style. Overall, despite the slightly small portion sizes, the quality of the sushi was top-notch and worth a visit.

I went with my child, and they secured a space for the stroller so we could eat at the counter! Every sushi and dish was delicious, and the staff were very kind. We didn't drink alcohol because we drove, so the 12,000 yen course felt a little bit lacking.

The sushi restaurant with a counter was welcoming and had a casual atmosphere. They also had private rooms, which would be great for business dinners. The pace of serving the sushi was good, so it was easy to eat and leave quickly. It felt like a place where you can eat good quality sushi without breaking the bank. I enjoyed the meal!

This was my first visit. I made a reservation through Tabelog and came here. I went with one other person and we were seated in a private room. We started with a course of appetizers, which were all just okay. I found them a bit fishy. The sushi was also just okay. I wouldn't recommend it. Thank you for the meal.

The 3,000 yen lunch course was delicious, including edamame tofu, striped jack, spear squid, flathead fish, turban shell sashimi, sardine sushi, dried gourd roll, egg, and red miso soup. The female staff and the chef were friendly, and we had a great time dining. There were private rooms at the back, and a Chinese family with children was also dining. There were about three couples at the counter seats. The sushi was delicious and reasonably priced, making us very satisfied. The taste of the sushi was fantastic! It was a great memory of my trip to Fukuoka! Thank you~! I'm glad I chose this restaurant.

The first thing I said when I entered this restaurant was "You'll understand once you go." Among the sushi restaurants in Fukuoka that use top-quality fish, this place stands out. I was amazed by the amazing atmosphere at first, but the professionalism of the chefs and the delicious menu made me feel comfortable. Not only the sushi, but also dishes like chawanmushi were excellent from start to finish. I used to go to conveyor belt sushi places often, and they are great too, but I think you and your family, parents, or loved ones will be happy if you take them here. As a side note, I initially thought I would come here once every six months, but when I left, I had already decided that my reward for working hard next month would be a visit to this restaurant. Definitely, once you go, you'll understand. Whether you go or not is up to you.

My friend came from Bangkok to Tokyo, so we decided to try the Edo-style sushi at Sushi Taka-san, a Michelin-starred restaurant that recently opened in Fukuoka in May. We had high expectations as it is known for serving Edo-style sushi. The restaurant is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from Hakata Station, with a cozy and calm atmosphere underground. The Edo-style sushi is aged carefully, so there is no fishy smell. The rice is served at body temperature. Every piece of sushi was delicious, but the eel was highly recommended! It was so soft that it could be swallowed without chewing. The meal also included chawanmushi and red miso soup, which left us satisfied. The chef was friendly, and we ended up staying longer than planned. My friend couldn't stop praising how delicious the sushi was and finished everything in no time. It was a very enjoyable and fulfilling dining experience at Sushi Taka-san in Fukuoka. #Taka-san #sushi #Edo-style #nigiri #chawanmushi #Hakata Station #Fukuoka #hidden gem #gourmet

As a native of Kyushu, I always thought that sushi should be eaten with soy sauce. I realized that the true flavor of the fish stands out in Edomae sushi. The sea urchin and blackthroat sea perch were particularly delicious! The atmosphere of the restaurant is not overly luxurious, making it a casual and friendly place to visit.

I had a delicious and great value lunch for ¥6,000! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get in without a reservation, but luckily the bad weather worked in my favor and I was able to walk in without waiting. The sushi was seasoned with red vinegar, giving it a slight sweetness and acidity that was just right. The rice was not too soft or too firm, melting in my mouth with each bite. The texture of the toppings was unique to traditional Edo-style sushi, with a touch of purple ink added. The squid was refreshing with a hint of salt and yuzu, allowing me to savor the sweetness of the squid. Thanks to the rain canceling my golf game, I had the best Hakata lunch! The conversation with the chef and the beautiful hostess added to the experience, and I found myself enjoying sake in the middle of the day. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

A Michelin Guide-listed restaurant that has been featured for 5 consecutive years opened in Fukuoka on May 1, 2023! This time, we tried the Chef's Choice Course (12,000 yen): - The clear soup with clam broth was really flavorful and comforting. It was said to be good for our livers since we were going to eat a lot. The edamame tofu was more like agar than tofu. - 5 kinds of appetizers included dried mullet roe, salted squid, and winter melon stew. The salted squid had a unique deliciousness as it was marinated in broth. - 2 kinds of sashimi were bluefin tuna and gurnard. The bluefin tuna was so delicious that I couldn't help but compliment the chef, who seemed pleased. - 11 pieces of nigiri sushi included squid, medium fatty tuna, spear squid, striped jack, spotted halibut, Thai clam, shrimp, sea urchin, fatty tuna, and simmered conger eel. The seasoning like soy sauce and yuzu was already done perfectly by the chef, so there was no need to add more. The squid was in season and incredibly tender, while the medium fatty tuna and fatty tuna melted in my mouth. - The steamed dish was a steamed egg custard with whitebait, clams, and fresh seaweed, with a savory egg flavor. - Other dishes included burdock roll, sweet rolled omelette, red miso soup, and melon for dessert. This is not a revolving sushi restaurant, but the friendly chef makes the sushi experience enjoyable. The drinks were also carefully selected and delicious. The interior has a calming atmosphere with a counter and private rooms where you can watch the chef's skills or enjoy sushi in a private setting. Perfect for entertaining, dates, or special occasions! The chef selects ingredients from the market daily to create exquisite dishes and authentic Edo-style sushi. Be sure to try this course and experience it for yourself!

Today was supposed to be udon day, but after seeing this delicious review in the morning, I changed my plans and decided to go for sushi instead. I made a reservation through Tabelog for the lunch omakase sushi set priced at ¥9000 (tax included). I also received Tabelog exclusive T-points. The meal included clam soup, various types of sushi, sashimi, cooked dishes, and dessert. The quality and cost performance were outstanding. I was impressed by the elegance I learned from customers in Tokyo and the spirit of challenge in Hakata. A wonderful dining experience at NICE Sushilunch. Thank you for the meal. Wishing everyone a great Udon Day.

"Hakata Sushi Takayama" #Hakata Station, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City In May of this year, another Michelin-starred restaurant opened in Hakata, Fukuoka, with a renowned restaurant from Tokyo. The chef, who has been featured in the Michelin Guide for five consecutive years at the renowned Tokyo restaurant Takayama in Hiroo, combines carefully selected ingredients from all over Japan with local Fukuoka ingredients to create excellent dishes that blend Edomae sushi and kaiseki. The quality of the courses, such as the "Chef's Choice Course (Dinner) - 12,000 yen (tax included)" which includes 24 dishes such as appetizers, sashimi, nigiri sushi, steamed dish, rolled dish, egg dish, soup, and dessert, reflects the high level of skill. As soon as you sit down and order alcohol, you will be served clam soup, rich in ornithine extract. This kind of hospitality makes you feel like drinking a lot of alcohol! The meal starts with edamame tofu and junsa (water shield) in the appetizer course, followed by dishes such as pickled ayu (sweetfish), dried kisu (sillago fish), wasabi-cured spear squid, baby scallops with winter melon, and a variety of nigiri sushi including horse mackerel, medium fatty tuna, spear squid, horse mackerel, sea bream, tilefish, shrimp, ikura (salmon roe), sea urchin, fatty tuna, and conger eel. In between, there are dishes like bonito sashimi and seared isaki (grunt fish) sashimi, as well as a white fish chawanmushi (savory egg custard) and a red miso soup with dried gourd roll and tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) to finish. Each dish on the menu was impressive, such as the rich flavor of the tilefish nigiri and the strikingly delicious large shrimp. The friendly and talkative chef, who loves cooking, made the dining experience even more enjoyable with engaging conversations. Located a 5-minute walk from Hakata Station Hakata Exit, this restaurant offers exceptional dishes served by a friendly chef. Don't miss out on the reasonably priced lunch courses as well. Thank you for the delicious meal!"

Hakata Sushikizan, located in front of Hakata Station in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, opened in May of Reiwa 5. It is situated on the basement floor of an office building right in front of the station. Upon entering, you are greeted by a bright white wooden counter. The experience starts with a clam soup to soothe the liver. The hospitality is gentle and welcoming. From appetizers to ayu fish and abalone, it makes you crave for sake. The sushi includes horse mackerel, medium fatty tuna, spear squid, tuna, and flathead fish sashimi, followed by bonito, horse mackerel, blackthroat seaperch, scallop, salmon roe, chawanmushi, sea urchin, fatty tuna, conger eel, dried gourd roll, egg, red miso soup, and melon. It was a blissful time. The flavor of the tuna is irresistible! The horse mackerel is so delicious that it wins first place! I enjoyed premium draft beer and the local sake "Kikumijin" from Chikugo. Finally, I repeated with a rock glass of sweet potato shochu "Futan." The elegant sweetness of the sweet potato was very pleasing. The master was very friendly and created a warm atmosphere, allowing us to relax and enjoy a pleasant time. I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients, the skilled craftsmanship that brings out their flavors, and the high level of hospitality. In other words, the cost performance was too good! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Meeting up with a close friend who lives in Fukuoka for a long-awaited meal. Sushi followed by luxurious Hakata-style ramen - the perfect course. This time, we chose Takayama, located conveniently near Hakata Station. It seems to be a trend for Michelin-starred chefs from Tokyo to make appearances in Hakata recently. Perhaps they originally wanted to be in Tenjin, but even so, it's impressive that they found such a spot near Hakata Station. This aspect also caters to tourists. Kyushu is known for its delicious seafood, and Hakata is a great place to showcase Michelin-level skills. Let's take a look at the menu: - Clam soup stock - Edamame tofu with water shield - Boiled sweetfish, dried young yellowtail, abalone, winter melon - Boiled young sea bream - Marinated tuna - Flathead fish - Tuna and young yellowtail sashimi - Bonito - Horse mackerel with green onions and ginger - Seared blackthroat seaperch - Flatfish - Salmon roe battleship roll - Chawanmushi with deep-fried baby sardines and seaweed - Sea urchin battleship roll - Fatty tuna - Simmered conger eel - Kanpyo roll - Red miso soup with enoki mushrooms - Rolled omelette - Melon Looking back, each dish was delicious. The way the chef skillfully cuts the ingredients makes the fresh and tasty toppings easy to eat, enhancing their flavors even more. The combination of bonito to flatfish and the duo of fatty tuna and simmered conger eel were exceptionally delicious. We may have strayed with craft beer in the middle, but we indulged in Nikka Taketsuru whisky highballs to continue our luxury experience. Clean and slightly sweet, truly a premium whisky. I had a great time chatting with the head chef as well, making it a fantastic night. The only minor complaint would be that, if they aim for perfection, they should consider improving the dessert as well. After all, even the dessert should be elevated to the highest standards.

I visited a new Japanese restaurant in Hakata that was featured in the Michelin Guide in Tokyo. The restaurant offers counter seating and private rooms, and can accommodate groups. The interior is calming with a white color scheme. The course menu starts from 12,000 yen, and they also serve lunch. The refined techniques of the chefs were impressive! I was thrilled to see my favorite dish, ayu, served as the first course, and it was marinated in kombu! It was so good that I couldn't help but enjoy some beer and sake! The sushi was also top-notch, with carefully prepared ingredients. The horse mackerel was surprisingly delicious! Watching the chef make sushi only increased my appetite. The head chef was friendly, and we had a great time dining there. My companion also enjoyed the experience, so we will definitely be back again! Thank you for the wonderful meal! ⭐

The bite-sized Edomae sushi was delicious, but I felt like adding a little Kyushu soy sauce! The restaurant was new and clean, with a nice wooden scent inside. The staff were very polite and attentive. The red miso soup with enoki mushrooms had a rich flavor from the fermented miso and was very tasty. I chose the green tea from the drink menu (600 yen) and enjoyed the iced green tea, but I wish they had told me that the hot (Agari) was free.
